Ella Pierce aka The Veiled Bride or simply The Bride, who is just an 18 year old teenager, is one of the best deadly assassins in the Sterling Agency, ranking Number 5 in the Top Five Assassin Leaders. She successfully finished her last mission before her well deserved three months long vacation, when her boss, Mr Park, ranking Number Two in the Top Five Assassin Leaders, sent her on another operation which is far below her calibre; to be a Bodyguard to the Mayor's son. Despite her initial refusal, she agreed after being promised a longer period of vacation. To her, being a bodyguard was like being on vacation, hence her acceptance. Things don't go as planned and she ends up working, more than her initial plan of relaxing as Philip, the Mayor's son, is in more danger than she imagined.************"What the hell dude?! Why would you do that? Where are your manners?" she exclaimed frowning at me, her green eyes sparkling which was weird. Who the hell had bright green eyes?"My manners? You barged into my room and rudely woke me up and now you're eating my treats?!" I asked, raising my voice. The girl was grating my nerves already."Seriously, I didn't barge into your room. I was told to go in and wake you up. Who knew you slept like a log? And about your treats, don't you know the concept of sharing?" She explained, laying back down on the couch."Why would a nobody be sent to my room?" I asked curiously, eyeing her."She's not a nobody, she's your new bodyguard," my dad said coming towards us.************

Prologue
200 years ago.... "This is our chance Ella. We have to start the spell now before the comet is over," a man said with urgency in his voice, as he held a bowl of blood. "Sorry, I'm just nervous. This spell will give us the darkest and strongest magic but I'm worried about the cost. It was never stated in the book," Ella replied, breathing nervously. She was in front of a fire which had been set up for the ritual. The man stood opposite her and surrounding them were dead people. Their bodies filled the whole field where the witches were. There looked to be about a hundred bodies. "It's okay. No matter the cost, the end justifies the means. We can't let the Lycans reign over us. We need to take control of our future and that of our generation by wiping them out. Witches are supposed to be gods among men ensuing the balance of nature. Trust me, once it's done, you'll feel silly for being this anxious because we'll be overflowing with power. We will have the power of Chaos Magic, the greatest magic a witch can have, the same magic that created the Lycans. Now, let's do this before our time is up," he urged, holding the bowl over the fire. Ella nodded and removed a silver knife from her cloak. She made a deep cut on her palm and rose it over the bowl, allowing her blood to flow into it. Once done, they began to chant in strange tongues and the wind picked up. After some minutes, their eyes glowed red and a force gripped them making them left the bowl and face the sky which was dark red due to the comet and ritual. The dead bodies glowed red and hovered above the ground; a glowing line of red left the bodies and headed to the sky. Suddenly, the sky formed a little tornado which spiraled down and touched the contents of the bowl and then it disappeared and the sky was dark blue again, and they stopped changing. The bowl still hovered above the fire and the witches were in control of their bodies. The dead bodies dropped, all shrivelled up. "It is done," Ella said catching her breath. She noticed the fire had become red and the blood in the bowl had changed color, looking colorless like water. The man nodded and grabbed the bowl, passing it to her. "Drink first," he said. She nodded and drank half of the contents. She gave him the bowl but before he could take a drink, a golden scale hit the bowl and it broke, emptying it's contents onto the forest floor. "No!!" Ella yelled and turned in the perpetrator's direction. The guilty party put his wings behind him and with him was a man in a regalia which extruded royalty and had a dangerous aura about him. They were both in black. "Do you know what you've done?!!" She screamed at them and almost instantly the man fell down jerking, as blood poured from his mouth. "Gregor!!" She cried and rushed to him. She knew it was the consequence of an incomplete Chaos ritual. "Estarella and Gregorio, you have been found guilty of treason and have been sentenced to a thousand years in the Soulless dungeon in the Sea," the royalty declared and royal guards, all dressed in black came out from behind the trees. "I will never forgive you for this, Anders," Ella growled and stood up, feeling a strange power surge through her, leaving Gregorio's body to fall limp. As soon as she did so, a neck cuff of gold wrapped around her neck and she fell down screaming in pain. It felt as if she was burning from the inside. "Damn you Phoenix!!" she yelled and the man with the wings put down his outstretched hand and bowed to the King. "She can't use her magic now, your Majesty. Whatever magic enhancement she did her will be null and void as long as the cuffs stays on." King Anders nodded at him, "Thank you Phenus, the danger is finally averted," he replied. "Take her away," he ordered his guards. Quickly, they threw chains towards the screaming witch and she fell unconscious as the chains wrapped around her.
