Sovereign Homeland The Nation of Hawaiʻi The Same Day When Kekoa unwrapped a bundle of taro leaves, it revealed chunks of fatty pork and several pieces of butterfish steamed to perfection. He grabbed some Hawaiian sweet potato inside of the bundle with his fingers, dipped it in poi, and quickly stuffed his mouth with it. He then did the same with a piece of fish. As he ate, the juices of the fish dripped down the corners of his mouth. He wiped it with a napkin and kept eating. poiThe others in the room were also eating lau lau before the meeting started, Eyeing them while he ate, Kekoa smiled. He was impressed with the number of members who were eager to participate and possibly enroll in the nation. Loud noises from individuals who were both eating while talking filled the room.
