The rustling of the palm leaves indicated the slight island breeze whisking through the spacious lanai where Daniel and Ed sat at a table opposite of each other. They were meeting for early evening cocktails after a long day of work. Daniel was pleased the two could finally meet again after they windsurfed together earlier.
“Bro, sorry, I’ve been so busy with the little woman and kids and haven’t had time to spend with you. Remember, we used to meet for dinner all the time when my ex was going to graduate school. Those were the good ole days,” Ed mused as he took another sip of rum and coke.
