Chapter 22

I'm standing in front of my locker and take my book from my locker about to put it into my ransel but it another book also paper files fall down from my locker.

I let out a sigh and kneel down until I see another hand help me to take my book from the ground. I turn my face and Jake smiles at me.

"Hi." I smile back at him.

"It's supposed to be thank you." Jake chuckles.

"Yeah. Well, thank you." I giggle.

I put my book inside my locker then shut my locker and put my hands inside my cardigan pockets.

"So are you always dress up like this?" Jake asks me.

"Is this weird?" I raise my eyebrows at him.

"No. It's actually looks cute on you." Jake smiles at me.

"Thank you." I smile shyly at him as we both walk in the hallways together.

"Well, still wanna go out with me this friday night?" Jake turn his face at me.

"Sure." I nodded.

"I know this is crazy but I got to be honest with you that I'm totally different with Puck. I know you and Puck were have a thing and now I'm here and I'm afraid you will be scared at me or something but I just want to tell you that." Jake says to me.

"Yeah we dated for about four months then we broke up after I found out that he slept with Quinn and then I dated Finn which long last about six months. And we broke up because he is into Rachel and then I dated Artie for a year and he cheated on me with Brittany. Such boring relationship I guess." I giggle.

"No. You just unlucky because you havent meet the right guy and maybe I'll be the one." Jake smirks at me and walk away.

I built a smile on my face and standing frozen in the hallways. I guess I have crush with this guy. He is cute and sexy and funny.

Suddenly someone touch my shoulder. I turn my face and Sam frowns at me. "People will think you're crazy when you cant stop smiling like an i***t like that."

"I guess I go back to fall in love again!" I said happily and hug Sam.

"With who?" Sam frowns at me.

"Jake. He is cute, sexy, and funny. Oh God, I always cant get out from Puckerman's magnet." I said to Sam and cross my hand around his elbow.

"But he is a womanizer." Sam simply said.

"I think him and Puck are different. He told me by himself and he said that he might be the right guy for me." I grin at Sam.

"Kate, wake up. Those are pick up lines that every guy gonna say when they wanna get a girl." Sam simply said.

"Really?" I frown at him.

"Next time before you know a guy, be a guy first." Sam simply said.

"That's totally stupid." I roll my eyes. "But guess what?" I grin at him.

"We will go out this Friday night." I said excitedly.

"Wow cool." Sam simply said.

"Sam, dont be envy. I'm sure that you will find someone too." I smile at him.

"I dont wanna take that too fast." Sam shakes his head.

"I dont see Blaine around by the way." I said to him as we both walks to the choir room.

Sam and I then walk to our seat. Sam is sitting down in front of me and I'm behind him.

"Alright guys, giving up for Femme Fatale and Woman Fierce!" Finn says excitedly as the music start begin until Kitty and Marley walks in with their superhero costume.

Kitty and Marley ended up their performance with whooping and cherring from the others. Finn stand up from his seat then walk to the front and grins at us.

"That was incredible. You worked so well together. Teamwork! Yeah!" Finn said happily.

"You guys, I don't smell raspberry hair gel. Does anybody know where Blaine Warbler is?" Brittany says to us.

"Uh, well, as some of you guys might know, uh, recently, Blaine has been going through a bit of a rough time." Finn half-smiled at us.

"Oh, boo-hoo. Get over it. It's like a bad Lifetime movie." Tina rolls her eyes.

"And he's decided to finish the rest of his senior year at Dalton Academy." Finn says to us.

"What?!" Sam and I frown and yelled together.

"He's been taken by the Dark Side." Artie shakes his head.

The bell rings.

This is not gonna happen. I know Blaine transferred here for Kurt and now he is gone because he broke up with Kurt. I know Kurt still dont wanna talk to him and Blaine must be really down with that and no. I wont let him down alone. When I was crying because of school play who calmed me down? Blaine and Sam. When I want to quit the glee club who convience me to not leave? Blaine and Sam. And now one of us is down and no one left behind.

"Follow me!" I said to Sam and take his hand then walk lead him to out from the choir room.

"He didnt tell me that he want to go back to Dalton." Sam frowns.

"Of course he wont tell us because if he tell us, we will stop him." I said to Sam. "It's just he was there when us down, Sam. And we cant let the Dark Side take our Nightbird."

"Yeah you're right. We should take him back to the bright side." Sam nodded as agree.

"Yep. Exactly." I nodded.

We both keep walking in the hallways until we see Blaine is packing his stuff from his locker and put into a box. I make little run to him and take his box then shut his locker.

"Kate! What...?" Blaine frowns at us.

"Tell me you're not leaving." I shake my head.

"Dude, this is part of some master plan, right? You're going back to the Warblers to gather intel for us so we can kick their ass at Sectionals." Sam says to Blaine.

"Sam, don't. I feel awful enough as it is." Blaine sighs.

"Stop, okay? You've been beating yourself up for, like, weeks since you and Kurt broke up. But going back to Dalton? You told Finn it was 'cause you feel more at home there. If you ask me, it's just another way to punish yourself. And for what? What did you do, exactly?" Sam frowns at Blaine.

"After we celebrated our winning, I hooked up with a guy because Kurt really didnt hit me. It was a guy that friended me on f*******:. I went over to his place because it felt like Kurt was moving on with his life and I wasn't a part of it.nAnd I got to thinking that maybe Kurt and I weren't meant for each other. That we weren't supposed to spend the rest of our lives together. But the horrible thing is, right after I did it I knew that we were." Blaine exhales.

"Dude, you got to tell Kurt that." Sam says to Blaine.

"What, you think I haven't told him that? You think I haven't tried?!" Blaine protest.

"Calm down. It's okay." Sam says to him.

"No. He is cheating, Sam." I said to Sam.

"No, it's not okay, Sam, 'cause I cheated on the one person that I love more than anything in this world. I hurt him, so of course he's not gonna trust me. He's never gonna forgive me." Blaine says sadly.

"Blaine but..." I got cut off.

"Kate, shut up. Let me have pep talks." Sam cut me off. I roll my eyes and let out a sigh. "Even if he doesn't, you got to forgive yourself. You got to stop.... What's-what's the word when you make someone into a villain?" Sam asks us.

"Uh Villainize?" Blaine raises his eyebrows.

"Yeah, you got to stop villainizing yourself.

Yeah, you hurt Kurt; That wasn't cool. So you're trying to make it right. But exiling yourself to Dalton won't fix anything." Sam says to Blaine.

"I just want to stop feeling like I'm a bad person." Blaine says to us.

"You're not. You're one of the good guys. And I got a whole glee club that agrees with me." Sam says to Blaine.

"Yeah. If you leave I will stuck with him forever and I dont want that happen." I said to Blaine and point at Sam.

"Guys, I-I dont know." Blaine shrugs.

"Blaine, we are your bestfriend. I know you are down but we wont leave you behind or even let you go back to Dalton with Evil Gay Sebastian Smythe who almost blinded you. You're belong here. Remember when Sebastian almost blinded you? Who was there worry and care about you? Us. Okay that might be big but think about Sam and I. We're team. You always there when we down and I wont let you go back to Dalton even I have to hold your legs and beg you to not go. Stay here. Stay with us. Stay with people who loves you for the way you are." I said to Blaine.

"Dude, stay. You wont find two friends like us in Dalton. We are irreplaceable." Sam says to Blaine.

"Yes, and even though I know that you broke up with my brother but you are my bestfriend, Blaine. Please dont leave. No one will leave behind. Pinkie promise." I said to him and show my pinkies.

"Do it or I will kill you." Sam simply said to Blaine and cross my pinkie with his pinkie.

"Alright." Blaine sighs and cross his pinkie with my pinkie. "One last mission first." Blaine grins at us and take his black mask.

"What are we gonna do?" I ask him.

"Steal our nationals trophy back from The Warblers." Blaine grins at us.

"I'm in." I nodded.

"It will be pretty offended if I'm not join." Sam simply said.

"Alright, go get your superhero costume and we will do this together as a team." Blaine grins at us.

We are smiling at each other and nodded. I'm glad that I can be a part of this team. I never feel so close and having friendship like this before. This is one of my senior year goals.

Jake's POV

I'm standing in front of my locker and turn my face. I see Kate is talking with Sam and Blaine then laugh together. I really like that girl. I mean she is different and she is blonde and we will go out this Friday.

But something in my mind. Ryder had my back and I know that he is also into Kate and since the first time he is kinda crushing him. Glad that I have Puck so maybe I can talk about her to him.

I shut my locker and start walking in the hallways and walk passed them who laugh each other. Kate turn her face at me and smiles at me. I just smile back at her and keep walking in the hallways then take my phone from my pocket.

"What's up, half bro with the afro?" Puck picked up the phone.

"Hey, man. Uh, where are you? It sounds really loud." I said over the phone.

"I'm just making some scratch out on Hollywood Boulevard, aka the enormous skid mark Los Angeles found in its undies.

What's going on?" Puck asks.

"I need some brotherly advice." I said to him.

"I'm all ears." Puck simply said.

"Okay, what are you supposed to do when you really like a girl, but you didn't know it at first, then you sort of blew your shot with her, and now this other dude's really into her who you used to think was a total poser, but turns out he's actually a really cool guy who totally has your back, and you know you'll be a world-class D-bag if you jump in now and try to break them up?" I ask Puck.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, back it up. is she hot?" Puck asks us.

"Yeah. Uh, dude, you could say that. She is senior and you can say that she is the most beautiful girl in McKinley." I said to him.

"Who's that girl? Did I know that?" Puck asks me.

"Of course you know her. She is one of your ex-girlfriend." I said to Puck.

"Dont tell me it's Baby Hummel. But isnt that she dated Sam?" Puck asks me.

"Nope. I know they just bestfriend and I actually asked her out and she said yes but I kinda feel bad with this guy." I said.

"Okay here's the thing. I let you date my ex but dont be a jerk. I was wrong to cheated on Quinn and get her preggo and she broke up with me and never want to go back to my life so play it cool. Unlike the rest of those Lima losers, you have superior Puckerman testosterone that's pumping those hallways full of premium. Puckerman-brand pheromones. Just let her catch a whiff. Then you can sit back and play nice..And in a couple weeks, I guarantee she'll be begging for it." Puck says to me.

"You really think that's gonna work?" I ask him.

"Trust me. That's how I bagged Teri Hatcher. Let me tell you, she's not complaining. Listen, man, I got to go. Homeless guy just threw up on Barbra Streisand's star. I got to snap a pic.

But remember my advice: Don't be a dick."

"But don't give up. Thanks, bro." I hung up the phone.

I put my phone back to my pocket. I wont give up that easily. I like really like that girl since first time I saw her and I have to get her and I wont be a jerk who sleep with any other girl like what Puck did. I will get her.

Kate's POV

I'm standing on the front of choir room and hold our nationals trophy with Blaine and Sam. We stole our nationals trophy back from The Warblers.

"Guys, it was epic. Dalton was like Death Star meets Mordor meets Temple of Doom. I mean, I might be exaggerating, but probably not." Sam says to them.

"It was look like The Dark Side of the world." I said to them.

"I owe all of you an apology for ever doubting McKinley's my home. You guys are my home. We've got a real fight ahead of us with the Warblers at Sectionals, but I am not worried at all. Because we've got the team, we've got the talent, and we have, most importantly, the leader." Blaine says to us and give our nationals trophy to Finn.

"Thank you." Finn smiles at us.

"That's you, Finn! Go put that in the case." Artie shouts.

"I love you, Finn!" Sugar shouts.

Finn walks to the trophy case and place our nationals trophy there. "All right, all right, all right, all right, all right. Let's start with some warm-ups, and then we can..." Finn got cut off.

"Uh, Finn, wait." Tina cut him off. "Can I say something? This is for you, from all of us. It's a superhero utility belt cleverly disguised as a fanny pack." Tina says to Finn and place the utility belt around his belly.

"There's some stuff in there we thought you could use." Artie says to Finn.

"Ah, cool, uh Magic markers. I could never find these." Finn takes the stuff inside that bag. "Antacid."

"In case you get the show choir squirts." Sam says to Finn.

"Thanks." Finn says to Sam until he took a head of Barbie.

"That's from me. You're welcome." Brittany grins at Finn.

"Gauge?" Finn frowns.

"To remind you about how fat you are. You're welcome." I grin at him.

"That's to always remind you that you're the almighty Treble Clef, the Uniter of Glee Clubs. And the Uniter of Friends." Blaine says to Finn as Finn take a pin of treble clef.

Next week at Sectionals, we are gonna kick some Warblers' sorry asses.nAnd then it's Regionals, and then it's Nationals, and then this year is gonna go down in the McKinley High record books as the greatest year the New Directions hs ever seen. "Where are you going to?" Dad shocked me.

I turn my face at him and giggle. "Go out with someone. I promise I wont be home late." I grin at dad and walk to the front door.

I open the front door and Jake is already waiting for me outside his car. He then turn his face at me and looking at me from head to toe.

"What?" I ask him.

"You look really beautiful." Jake smiles at me.

"Thank you." I giggle.

"Come on. I already booked table in Breadstix for us." Jake says to me and open the passenger door for me.

I get into his car and he closed the door. He then walk to the drive seat and start driving. I just hope that my outfit for today wont be bothering. A black dress, denim jacket, ankle boots, shawl, and beanie hat, also socks because it's cold.

"You always make me wanna kidnap you and never give you back to your dad." Jake says while driving.

"Just be careful because you're driving now." I giggle.

"I know that." Jake nodded and chuckles.

I'm just chuckle and turn my face to the street. Jake is still driving and sometimes he turn his face at me and we both start smiling at each other like two idiots. Until he park his car in front of Breadstix.

I went out from his car and look around. Jake shows me his hand and smiles at me. I smile back at him and hold his hand then he walk lead me to Breadstix.

We then walk to two empty table until a waitress give us two glass of diet cokes. I raise my eyebrows at him and chuckles.

"Okay I havent ordered yet but how could you know that I love diet coke? We even go out for our first time." I chuckle.

"Puck told me. And this one." Jake grins at me until the waitress give us two plates of beef lasagna.

"Okay you asked Puck or Finn? Because I bet he cant remember the things I like." I chuckle.

"I asked Puck and please just because he knows things you likes and you wanna go back together with him. This date planned was my idea." Jake says to me.

"No. I'm over him. He is better with Quinn I guess." I giggle and start eating my food. "I wanna ask you, are you fine to go out with someone older than you?"

"You just older than me one year right? Besides that age is just number. And I really like you since first time I saw you sat down in the audience seat while I had my glee club audition." Jake giggles.

"Then you hit the music sheets stands." I chuckle.

"Yeah I know that. That was the black part of me but tonight, I'm all pure white." Jake says to me.

"I saw your performance during Grease. My brother showed me the video and you were incredible. Outstanding." I said to him.

"First, I was really sad because you didnt play, second, I took lessons. Sounds embarassing but I went to dance class too." Jake says to me.

"You're awesome." I grin at him.

"Nah, you're awesome." Jake smiles at me.

I just smile back at him and eating my food. He is such a cutie pie. And I really have crush on him I guess. Well, I guess I get into Puckerman's zone again and again.
