Chapter 3: Pack Politics

Evelyn’s lips still tingled from Sebastian kiss. She couldn’t believe how much her life had changed in just one night.

But as she pulled away, Evelyn saw the concern etched on Sebastian’s face.

“What’s wrong?” Evelyn asked.

Sebastian’s expression hardened. “Victor won’t give up easily,’’ “he’ll try to convince the pack to take action.” He said.

Evelyn’s heart sank. “What kind of action?” she asked.

Sebastian’s jaw clenched. “They’ll try to silence you permanently”, he replied.

Shock run through Evelyn’s spine. “What can we do?” she asked.

I’ll take you to meet with the pack and try and convince you mean no harm to us. “Hopefully they will listen” Sebastian said.

Evelyn nodded, determination rising within her, “I’m ready.”

As Sebastian led Evelyn through the forest, Evelyn’s heat raced as she couldn’t stop thinking about last night’s kiss that still lingered on her lips.

As they approached the pack’s den, Evelyn sensed a strange energy. The air vibrated with power, Sebastian seemed to amplify it.

“What if they don’t like me?” Evelyn asked.

Sebastian’s expression softened. “They’ll love you,” he replied.

Inside, the pack gathered around, their eyes fixed on Evelyn. Sebastian stepped forward, his voice commanding.

“Packed, this is Evelyn,” Sebastian announced, “my mate.”

“Your mate?” Evelyn whispered.

Sebastian’s gaze locked onto hers. “Yes,” Sebastian said, “My alpha’s instinct recognizes you.”

Evelyn’s heart skipped a beat.

Sebastian watched Evelyn’s reaction, his alpha senses on high alert. His pack’s acceptance was crucial.

Victor stepped forward, his eyes flashing with defiance.

“You got to be kidding Sebastian, you can’t obviously claim this human to be your mate or have what humans have to our kind for centuries.” Victor growled.

Sebastian’s eyes narrowed. “I can, and I will.” He said.

“Is this who really want to be your alpha”, an alpha who mates with a human, who are our greatest enemies” Victor said to this other pack members.

The pack’s alpha power surged through Sebastian, asserting his dominance.

Evelyn’s gaze locked onto his, and Sebastian sensed her submission.

“Mine,” Sebastian whispered.

Evelyn’s checks flushed. “Yours” said replied.

The pack’s murmurs turned to nods, accepting Evelyn as Sebastian’s mate.

“I won’t stand for this can’t you all see this is wrong What happened our pack , we are fearful and cold blooded but now we have gone soft because of our incompetent alpha ” Victor said while storming out of the pack’s den.

Sebastian’s alpha power pulsed, demanding he claim Evelyn. He led her to his private chambers, deep within the den.

The door closed, and Sebastian’s lips crashed onto Evelyn’s. Their tongues danced the passion explosive.

Evelyn’s hands explored Sebastian’s chest, her touch igniting his every desire.

“Mine,” Sebastian growled, lifting Evelyn onto the bed.

Evelyn’s leg wrapped around him, pulling him closer.

Sebastian’s hands roamed Evelyn’s body, claiming every inch.

“Forever,” Evelyn whispered.

Sebastian’s alpha power surged, his fangs descending.

“Forever,” Sebastian echoed.

Their bodies merged, the passion consuming them.

As they climaxed, Sebastian’s alpha power bound Evelyn to him, sealing their mate bond.

Evelyn’s eyes locked onto his, her voice barely above a whisper.

“I love you."

Sebastian’s heart swelled. “I love you to,” he replied.

Their love was forbidden, but Sebastian wouldn’t let anyone tear them apart.

As they lay entwined Evelyn felt an inexplicable connection to Sebastian. Their mate bond pulsed with an otherworldly energy.

“Sebastian?” Evelyn whispered.

“Yes?” Sebastian replied.

“What does being your mate mean?” Evelyn asked.

Sebastian’s eyes locked onto her. “It means you’re my Luna which means you’re mine forever,” he replied.

Evelyn’s eyes widened. “Forever?” she repeated.

“Sebastian nodded.”

“As my mate, you’ll bear my mark, and you carry my child” Sebastian said.

Evelyn’s heart skipped a beat. “A child?” she whispered.

Sebastian’s smile softened. “Our child, and a new generations of werewolves”. He said.

Evelyn’s mind reeled. “But what about the dangers?” Evelyn asked.

Sebastian’s expression hardened. “I’ll protect you, and our child.” He assured.

Evelyn’s gaze locked onto his. “I trust you,” she replied.

Sebastian’s lips brushed against hers. “I love you so much,” he whispered.

As Sebastian’s hands explored Evelyn’s body, their passion reignited.

They lost themselves in each other, their love growing stronger.

Sebastian’s alpha power surged, his love for Evelyn overwhelming. He would do anything to keep her safe.

As they rested, Sebastian’s thought turned to Victor. His rival would stop at nothing to destroy their bond.

“Evelyn”, Sebastian whispered.

“Yes” Evelyn replied.

“We need to prepare, Victor won’t give up so easily.”

“I’m ready, and I would always stand by you” Evelyn said.Sebastian’s heart swelled with pride.

“My mate,” he whispered.

As they exited the chambers, Victor awaited, his eyes blazing with hatred.

“You’ll pay for betraying the pack, wait till the council of elders hears of this” Victor snarled.

Sebastian’s alpha power surged. “Not today,” Sebastian growled.

The pack gathered, sensing the conflict.

“Let’s end this” Sebastian said.

The packed circled around, forming a ring. Sebastian and Victor faced off, their eyes locked.

“You’ve brought shame to our pack,” Victor spat.

Sebastian’s expression hardened. “I’ve brought strength, and a future,” Sebastian countered.

With a snarl, Victor shifted into a werewolf. Sebastian followed, their bodies clashing.

Evelyn watched her heart racing. She had never Sebastian in battle.

The fight raged on, the two werewolves exchanging blows. Sebastian’s alpha power surged, giving him the upper hand.

Victor stumbled backs, his eyes flashing with anger.“You’ll never keep her safe,” Victor snarled.

Sebastian’s growl deepened. “I’ll protect what’s mine,” he said.

With one final blow, Sebastian defeats Victor. The pack’s murmurs turned to cheers.

Sebastian stood victorious, his alpha power pulsing.

As Sebastian defeated Victor, Evelyn felt a mixture of relief and unease.

The pack’s cheers died down, and Sebastian approached her.

“Are you okay?” Sebastian asked.

“Evelyn nodded.”

“What happens now?” Evelyn asked.

Sebastian’s expression hardened. “Victor’s followers may still pose a threat, we would need to increase security.” He said.

Evelyn’s eyes widened. “And what about us?” she asked.

Sebastian gaze locked onto hers. “Our bond is stronger than ever now, but we can’t let our guard down.”

“I’m ready to face whatever comes next,” Evelyn said.

Sebastian’s lips brushed against hers. “Together” he whispered.

As they pulled away, Evelyn noticed a figure watching from the shadows.

“Sebastian,” Evelyn whispered.

He followed her gaze.

“Who is that?” Emily asked.

Sebastian’s expression darkened. “I don’t know, but we’ll find out.”

The mysterious figure vanished into the night, leaving Evelyn with a sense of foreboding.
