Chapter 15Eddie Maxwell was arrogant and stupid, two of the faults his wife screamed at him as her reason for leaving him, when she exited their home for the last time, finally slamming the door on their marriage. He'd been smug and contemptuous when Tom advised him about the stock audit he intended to carry out. Two more flaws his wife had hated about him. According to her, the list was endless.
“It's alright by me,” Eddie said to Tom. “But I suggest you bring someone who can operate a fork lift to help you because most of the stuff you'll want to see is on the upper level. I can't allow anyone who isn't licenced near the fork lift or the cherry picker. It's more than my job's worth,” he added with a chuckle. Eddie had never been too worried about rules in the past.
