I had a few seconds to put the starsoul back before the fallen arrived. My father Picen was coming and I had to come up with a plan quick. I was trying to help Xadrian. He screams a name at night I know to be another fallen. Aquaria. Even when he is buried deep in me he refuses to look at me. The feeling of being used is not something I tolerated so I took care of it. Placing a spell on the starstone didn’t erase his pain but it diminished it to almost nothing. I think he almost loves me. I am one of the most powerful witches in our blood coven. I was a creation of my fallen star Father. Reaching my hand into the velvet bag and pulling out the smoothest amethyst. I rubbed it into my palm and could feel like earth's energy. It was radiating through my veins. I just needed a little bit longer to figure out how to absorb the power. It was meant for the mate of fallen star. Only together could the earth feed from the starsouls energy. It took me years to pull off taking it out of the vault. Intricate spells placed all over the complex weaved into the minds of everyone here. They had no idea it had been taken from its spot. How the king of Ramora found out I do not know. I was so careful. But now my father Picen was coming. I needed to remain innocent until I took what was mine with me to Ramora, Xadrian.
-Aquaria-
I carefully took off my helmet as I walked towards the doors. I was instantly surrounded by guards and red dots begin to dance all over my body. I couldn’t help but smile. I heard him next. A voice as calm as it was deadly. It was Orion, Xadrian’s Beta. By the time I spun around he had me by the neck in the air. When his face registered it was me, the shock on his face as I winked and vanished from his hold. His eyes turned almost black as he scaled me up and down. He licked his lips as he walked over and bowed at my feet.
I felt his warm hands wrap around mine before his soft lips pressed against my open palm. “Forgive me, Aquaria” he whispered. The sparks of heat radiating off our bodies was a surprise to me. He stared up at me with eyes full of desire. “I expect a ruthless punishment.” He followed with a wink. My face betrayed me and returned his plea with a smile. “Hello Orion, It has been a minute since we’ve seen each other. “
-Xadrian-
I entered the conclave compound. You would never tell it was home to such a detrimental part of our planet. It was a massive victorian home, that gave off true Adams family vibes. The entire perimeter was secure with an iron fence. It had the most up to date security systems in place. Underground was full of storage rooms and garages for each fallen. As cold as the house was inside was full of warmth, especially Ms. Frey who greeted me with a big hug. My heart had been pounding since I left the coven grounds. Suddenly I got much more anxious. I could not sense Picen. I followed Ms. Frey into the kitchen and my lungs seized. There was apple pie on the counter. “Ms. Frey, Where is Picen?” I shouted. She raised an eyebrow at me. “Xadrian, I am told he will be here within a week. However, and I think you know. Aquaria has fallen, In fact she left here about 15 minutes ago.“
Ms. Frey could tell by the look on my face as she spoke those words I didn’t need to offer goodbyes. I simply gritted my teeth, turned and slammed the door.
