I lay there in bed tired as all get out but sleep evades me. I can't seem to shake this feeling that something is going to happen and I can't seem to figure it out. It's not a bad feeling or anything just a feeling something is coming. "Scott, are you awake? "Kat, what's wrong," he asks? I can't seem to fall asleep. I'm exhausted but sleep won't come," I say."Do you want me to give you a massage? Maybe that will help you fall asleep," he says. "If you don't mind. It couldn't hurt to try," I say. I lay flat on my stomach as Scott begins rubbing my back. He's careful not to wake the kids while he does it. Slowly I start to get sleepy and my eyelids start to droop. The next thing I know I'm waking up and it's morning. I roll over and see that Scott isn't there but there's a note on his pillow. It says, I had to run to the store and I didn't want to wake you and the kids so I let you sleep. Especially after you having a hard time falling asleep last night. Plus you looked absolutely beautiful sleeping." I smile to myself and get up to make breakfast and then wake the kids. Their sleep schedule is going to be rough for a few days. "Mommy, where's Scott and Jordan," Holden asks? "Umm I don't know where Jordan is but Scott had to go to the store and didn't want to wake us," I say. "Oh okay mommy. When will he be back," he asks? "Mommy doesn't know. But i'm sure it's soon," I say. That must be good enough of a reason because he went and sat down waiting for his food. I dish up some scrambled eggs and made toast for them. I ate a little bit just to get something in my stomach so I could take my medicine. Halfway through breakfast Scott and Jordan walk through the door. "Oh you are awake. Good once we get the kitchen cleaned up we can go to the park," Scott says. "Yay! To the park we go," Holden says. He signs to his sister that we are going to the park soon and she starts to jump for joy. She claps her hand loud and hard. "I think she's excited," says Jordan. "What gave you that idea," Scott asks? We all laugh and start to clean up the mess. Before long we have the whole kitchen cleaned. I went to get the kids changed and ready to go then we all head out including Brody. When we reach the park the kids are so excited I can't help but laugh. "Harper can Scott get you out," I sign to her. She practically started jumping just happy to be here. We get the kids out and they take off running as fast as their little feet will carry them. They race to the slides trying to beat the other. Of course Holden lets his sister win. He's so good to his twin. They care so much for each other. "Mommy Harper won," he says. "I see that baby. She's super fast but I know that you're fast too," I say. "He's really good to her. Almost like he doesn't want her to be excluded from anything," Jordan says. That's when I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn around. I didn't expect to find Scott on one knee in the grass. "Kathleen I know that we have only been together not even six months but I know when something is right. And we just fit together like we were meant to be. Will you make me the happiest man and make me a part of your family," he asks? I stand there stunned not knowing how to make my mouth work to say yes. It takes me a minute to find my voice and then I just smile and yell, "Yes, yes I will." He jumps up putting the ring on my finger. He pulls me tight and kisses me. "Told ya she would say yes," Jordan says. I turn to him and say, "That's where you two went this morning." "Yeah that's the other reason I didn't wake you up," he says. I look down at my ring and realize I'm engaged to be married. "Oh what about we get married in October," I say. "This October," they asked? "Yeah why not, why wait," I ask? "If that's what you want, then that's what we'll do," says Scott. We watch the kids play for several hour. We all join in and play with them. We stay at the park until lunch time and that's when Holden comes up asking for food. We load up in the car and head back to Jordan"s place for lunch. I don't think I'll ever get used to the way Holden and Harper act to each other. After lunch we decide to really tire the kids out and take them for a swim in the pool. They splash and play with the guys while I sit back and take pictures of them. I call my mom to let her know that I was engaged and my mom worried that I was rushing things and didn't want me to get hurt yet again. I assured her that I wasn't and to please be happy for me. By the end of the conversation she could see that we truly loved each other. We let the kids swim for about an hour and then we headed in so they didn't burn from the sun. We put on cartoons once inside and before me and the kids were both asleep. "Kathleen, where are you?" No I won't let him find me. I cover my belly trying to protect it and my babies. He's in a bad mood. He woke up late and that was my fault according to him. So then he got in trouble with the higher ups. So he decided to take it out on me when he got home. He's already slapped me a few times. Kathleen I swear to God if you don't come out now it's going to be ten times worse if I have to look for you," he says. That's when the closet door opens and he says, "Found ya." And he jerks me outlay my hair. "NOOOOOOOO," I scream myself awake. "Hey, hey it's okay you're not back there. You're safe with us," Scott says. I sit up and look around. That's right I wasn't with Dylan anymore. I lay back down my head in Scott's lap and drift back to sleep.
