"NO!" Bridget's reply was swift and straight to the point. There was no way she would do that. She wasn't a leech! Lily sighed because she knew that Bridget would reject the idea at first. She was a woman with a lot of pride, and so unless it was necessary, she wouldn't be asking for help. "Cole would want you to tell him about this, too, you know. If he finds out that you didn't tell him you were having problems..." "And that is why he's not going to find out," Bridget said, giving Lily a sharp look. "He has helped me a lot. The only reason I have come this far, the only reason I was able to keep my kids, was because of him. I can't ... I can't just continue to ask him to help me," Bridget muttered. She had her own pride, too, and so she couldn't keep on taking from Cole. Besides, she was very concerned about what Cole thought of her. Their relationship might only be a contract one, but that did not mean it wasn't important to me. Lily sighed when she saw the look on Bridget's face. Bridget tried to keep her feelings hidden, but as the person who was by her side every day, how could she not tell what Bridget was thinking? She just hoped that Bridget would get the courage to confront her feelings someday. "It's fine if you don't want to ask for his help, but seriously, Bridget, until when do you think you can continue to keep your feelings hidden?" Lily asked her slowly. Bridget's eyes flashed with reluctance, and she was going to deny it at first, but she gave it up. Bridget smiled bitterly. "Is it that obvious?" She asked. Lily sighed and nodded her head. "As long as anyone has eyes, then they should be able to see what you're thinking. I'm just worried about you. Don't you think it's time already? It's been five years...." Bridget sighed and nodded her head. Yes, it's been five years. Just like that, it's been five years since Cole came to her hospital room when she had no other hope and asked her to be his contract wife. His family wanted him to marry some woman that he detested, and since he couldn't stand it, he found someone else. The fact that she had two children with her was a plus. Cole had given her everything since then; he made sure Bridget and her kids had a home, and he even gave her the career that she had always wanted. It was just that, from the beginning till now, everything for him was just a business deal, and much hadn't changed since then. She was unable to control her own feelings, and she found herself falling for him. However, would he care about her feelings? What if everything was still just a business deal to him like in the past? If she said something, wouldn't that destroy the bit of friendship they had between them? Bridget had so many considerations, and she was too scared to take the risk. "It's fine currently; my kids have a father, they have a stable home, and I have a successful career. You don't know this, but five years ago, I couldn't dare dream of what would happen the next day. A person shouldn't be too greedy," Bridget said with content. Lily sighed; she had so much more she wanted to say, but then, it wasn't like she could change Bridget's mind once she had made a decision. "Where do you want to go?" Lily asked her, changing the topic. "Take me home," Bridget replied as she looked outside the window. Home—this word was a bit surreal to her. Growing up in an orphanage with no parents, she had no "home." She met Zain and married him, and for twelve years, she thought she had a home. Until he made her realize that she was nothing to him and kicked her out with nothing. These past five years, home had been anywhere she could be with her kids, and she couldn't be happier at the way her life had turned out. ...... Zain was still in his bedroom, searching for any kind of information on Bridget online. His life the past five years hasn't been great, and sometimes at night, he would find himself sitting up and wondering why he had let go of the woman who was wholeheartedly devoted to him. Zain didn't let himself think too much about these things because the truth was too scary, until he saw Bridget on television. That was when he knew that he could not ignore her presence anymore. She was back in the city...she was a better version of the person she was five years ago. Zain regretted leaving her, and all he could think about was how he wanted to get back the woman that he kicked away back then. The information on the internet about Bridget was really limited, and besides her career, there was nothing about her private life. No one even knew where she lived, and the filming set was also unknown so people wouldn't come looking for her. Zain was almost going crazy as he was unable to find any information on Bridget. The number she used in the past was no longer in service, and there was simply no way for him to contact her. "Bridget… Where are you? I am so sorry.... I am so sorry for the things I did in the past. Please forgive me and come back; I promise I won't mess up anymore," Zain muttered to himself. The bedroom door was pushed open, and his angry-looking wife, Leila, marched in. Her eyes fell on Zain, and if looks could kill, he would have already died. "What is the meaning of this?" She questioned him, her hands placed on her hips. Her eyes scanned the messy bedroom, irritation on her face. Zain looked at the person he believed was the cause of his current predicament expressionlessly. The only thing he felt for this woman was intense hate! "Get out!" He barked at her.
