Chapter 6Caleb had just gotten out of a staff meeting at work that seemed to go on forever when his office phone rang. Although he didn’t recognize the number, he took the call anyway, figuring it was something work-related.
“Caleb Thorn?” a male voice asked.
“Yes, this is Caleb. How can I help you?”
There was a low chuckle at the question. “You sound so formal.”
“I’m at work. Who is this?”
“I’m sorry. It’s David Riley, Jenna’s father. I hope you don’t mind me tracking you down at your office, but I didn’t have your cell number and I felt weird about asking Jenna or Jake for it.”
Weird is right. Caleb couldn’t figure out why Jenna’s dad was calling him unless there was something going on with the wedding plans that he wanted to discuss.
“It’s no problem at all, Mr. Riley,” Caleb tol
