Finding Sunshine

“I’ll meet you back at the house” Rain said as she tried to keep her composure. “It going to rai..” Jake started to say before Jane gave him the “shut up look” that all couples seem to have. Or at least all the couples born in the clan. Rain was standing at her mothers grave. Wanting nothing more than to be alone to fall apart. “Take all the time you need dear, we love you” Jane said in a soothing voice as she started toward the car, pulling her mate with her. Once Rain saw the last car light disappear in the trees around, she fell to her knees. Clenched her chest and rocked back and forth, as she started to sob. “What am I gonna do without you?” She said between each panicked breath. Tears endlessly falling. * ”she’ll always be a part of you” a deep voice entered her mind. Rain had not heard that voice in fourteen months.Her mind had been completely quiet. She had been alone. Whipping around, looking for her mate. Rain could feel him near. Her stomach turned with a mixture of excitement and anger. * “where are you?” She sent out. Now feeling their connection.
