You know that that the doctor put you on bed rest,” John scolds her. “Sister, you don’t want those pups coming tonight, you should listen to your mate,” I chime in.  “You may be my alpha brother, but don’t you dare tell me to go back to bed, I do not want to spend the entire day by myself. So, I came to your office where I knew I would find my big brother and my mate,” Chloe nearly growled at me, waddling over to her mate. John pulled out a chair in front of my desk for her to sit in. Looking at my sister I saw that her long black hair is thrown up into her now normal messy bun, she had bags under her bright green eyes, which are like a mirror of mine, and her poor legs and ankle were swollen. Her pregnancy with her twins is taking a huge toll on her. It’s a good thing that she is due next month. Just looking at her you can see how much she is looking forward to meeting her children, from her rubbing her belly and smiling down all the time. “Now, big brother, are you going to listen to your beta and go to that gathering to try and find your mate?” she questions me. I’ve not taken my eyes off of her since she arrived and I noticed that her breathing has been slightly irregular, so I listen to her heartbeat and hear it going a little faster than normal. “I had planned on going but that depends on you. A re you going to need me to stay here to make sure you are good? You seem to push your limits and I don’t think you will make it to your due date the way you are breathing right now,” I counter. “It’s nothing I can’t handle while you are out, hopefully finding your mate,” she said sticking out her tongue at me. “Besides, I have my mate and several other women here that can help me if I were to have these babies tonight.” As soon as those words were out of her mouth, I watched as she bent over in pain and breathed out really hard. “Chloe, are you alright?” John asked, rushing to kneel in front of her. “I think I may have spoken too soon,” she said as I heard water drip onto the floor. “my water just broke,” she cried.
