Lily’s POV
I woke up feeling horrible. There were voices talking around me and I tried to open my eyes but the light was too bright. I lightly groaned as my body tried to adjust. Where was I? It was hard to think of what happened. When I tried to recollect the events, my head hurt from thinking so much.
“She’s waking up, get the doctor please” I heard a familiar voice say. “Lily, please open your eyes” they begged. I groaned again in response, still letting my body adjust. Every part of me felt achy, like I had been bruised all over.
“Where am I?” I just about asked. My voice was shaky and I sounded tired. My eyes were starting to flutter open but the light still hurt.
“You’re somewhere safe now” they cryptically responded.
