after selling the slaves he has in his hut, he resided in selling the orphans. the slave trading became very heavy in the land of Umuoforo which attracted a slave trader Mr. Warren who has already bought some slaves from the other neighbouring town, he went to Igwe Obika and demanded a partnership with him. he told him that he will be needing ten slaves, six boys and four girls, the king immediately agreed but if only he will give him eight bags of cowries and some footwears. which Mr. Warren gave him just half of the items he demanded and promised to bring the rest once his slaves were ready.
He immediately sent for his Ichies and they discussed on how to go about the slaves and the king promised to give them some shares in the money he made from each of the slaves head, they all started giving their suggestions, Obieke suggested selling the previous King children since their is nobody to defend them, he also suggested the two girls of Maazi Obiefuna the palm wine tapper who fell from the palm tree just some few market days, they all have their suggestions and at the end they were not able to get the total number of slaves they needed. So the king sent out his body guards to kidnap two more girls for him .
