My alarm went off, and I immediately hit snooze. I was already awake for more than an hour already, I just lay in bed with no intention of leaving anytime soon. I noticed when Sophie got out of bed earlier, and I silently watched her get ready.
She doesn't work, so where was she headed this early? I waited till she did her final twirl in front of the mirror and her usual mirror pictures before I sat up on the bed.
"It's still very early, Sophie..." I started, and her face went sour. "Won't be bad if you spent the morning at least with your daughter before leaving. She barely sees you these days.." I said and got down from the bed. My voice had no expressions, and neither did my face hold any visible emotions.
