Her fingers slipped under the waistband of my boxers pulling me the rest of the way from my sleep. Opening my eyes I was greeted with the most beautiful sights ever. Blair was already naked and was leaning over me. She moved my boxers down freeing my already hard c**k from the confines of the fabric. She wasted no time after freeing it to capture it with her mouth sucking the tip of it in as she wrapped her fingers around the base making me moan. Reaching up I pulled her hair back holding it out of the way so I could watch her bob up and down taking me in as far as she could, while using her hand on the bit she couldn’t get into her mouth. I let her continue for a short time before pulling gently on her hair removing my c**k from her sexy mouth with a pop. “My turn.” I didn’t give her a chance to respond before flipping us both over and moving down her body shoving her legs to the sides.

*****Trigger warning. This book contains physical abuse, mention of rape, and suecide.

-Blair Life had been wonderful, or so I thought. I was in the last year of my residency at Bellevue Hospital in New York, the best city in the world. I loved it here, the fast pace of the city. The way life was never dull. One night in the emergency room at Bellevue Hospital could make or break a person. Some people didn’t make it past their first night. But for me, I loved it. The challenge of it, the excitement of it, the fast pace, and having to be ready for anything. Never was your shift the same as the last. I loved the crazy nights and the calm of the day spent at home resting and getting ready for another busy night. Some people may think I am crazy for enjoying what I do, but I'm ok with that. It was that same year I met Josh. I lived in a house with several others to save money. The house was owned by two siblings, Nora and Greg, who rented out the rooms to other young adults. Everyone had their own room to themselves and were asked to make sure they kept it clean. Everyone shared the upstairs bathroom and the whole first floor that consisted of the living room, kitchen, and dining room. We all put money in for groceries, and if we purchased something for ourselves, we were responsible for putting our names on it, and if a name wasn’t on it, then it was free game to everyone. The house had five bedrooms, and they always had the rooms rented out. I had found the place during my first year of medical school and had stayed through the years. Others had come and gone, and well with my schedule, I didn’t really pay much attention to who was there or not. But then Josh moved in, and I noticed. He was amazing and even took the time to figure out my schedule, so when I got back from a long night at the hospital, he would have a hot meal ready for me and sit with me. We would talk for hours. On my days off, we began going out doing all kinds of things, seeing the sights, finding new places to eat, and just really enjoying life. It didn’t take us long for our relationship to grow, and by the end of that year, when I was finishing my residency and deciding where I would go from there, I found myself pregnant. It was exciting and scary all at the same time. We soon moved out of the house we had been renting rooms from and found our own little place to call our home. The place we would raise our baby together as a family. At first, things were great. Josh was just as excited and scared as I was. But getting to stay on as an attending at Bellevue Hospital helped. It meant still having crazy busy days, but my love for it hadn’t changed. And after our son, Alexander was born, life couldn’t have been better for us. Josh was able to work his schedule so that he was home with our son when I was at work. It meant we hardly saw each other, but we made it work. Again that’s what I thought. It wasn’t until Alex was three that I found out just how wrong I had been. Josh did maintenance for one of the schools, and that was where he had met Sandra. She was a teacher, and he had told her he was a single father raising his son on his own. He told her Alex’s mother had died giving birth to him. They had been together apparently for two years. She never questioned why he wouldn’t move in with her or allow her to move in with him. She wrote it off as him being protective of his son and loved him more for it. Josh would have her over to our place while I was working but always ensured she was gone before I got home. I never knew or even suspected. And Alex was so young he didn’t even understand what was going on. All he knew was his dad had a friend that would come over every now and then and stay with them. She would be there when he went to bed and then was gone, and mommy was home by the time he got back up in the morning. Hell, Sandra never even noticed the woman’s clothing that was in the bedroom when they would be together after Alex went to bed. And I would always think it was sweet of Josh to have changed the bedding every now and then to help out with the cleaning. All of this worked for Josh until one random night. I got home early. The night had been the same as all other nights, crazy busy in the emergency room. This night was filled with patients from a large accident being brought in. I was helping with as many of them as I could, helping to get the ones that weren't too bad out of the way so we could take care of those that were worse off. Well, at least I was until one of the patients decided they didn’t like the fact their doctor was a female, and instead of simply voicing that fact, they decided to attack me. The guy had jumped off the bed, pulling a knife from his pocket and holding it to my neck, and screaming about how women should know their places, and he could not lay in that bed and listen to a woman tell him she was his doctor. It took a few of the male nurses and our security team to talk the guy down and let me go. Per our hospital policy though, I was to be sent home. I tried to fight it because I was fine, but in the end, I was forced to leave for the night. I was already pissed because I knew I was needed, and just because one guy decided to be a psycho didn’t mean I had to go home. I could have seen other patients and just simply handed his case off to a male doctor to take care of. But they said it was a liability issue. If something happened to another patient, it could be deemed I was not in the right state of mind to continue seeing patients after such a trauma. Which really, I had been fine. I lived in New York. I could be held up at any point of the day. It was the life I lived. But I went home, deciding not to call and tell them I was coming home early. Instead, I decided to surprise my boys. I would get even to put Alex to bed tonight if I hurried. As I walked in the door, I was greeted by Josh and Sandra sitting on the couch watching a movie with Alex sitting between them. Josh looked over in surprise, and Sandra looked confused, which only grew when Alex jumped off the couch yelling “MOMMY” and running over to me. I picked him up, kissing him on the cheek, “Hey, sweetheart. What’s going on?” I looked from my son to his father. And again, it was sweet innocent little Alex that broke the silence. “Sandy bought Cars.” I smiled at him, “Well, that was nice of her.” He nodded his head vigorously. At this point, Josh had gotten off the couch and walked over to us. “Hey, bud, why don’t you go get your pajamas on, and then you and mommy can finish watching the movie before bed.” Alex nodded, and I set him down, watching him run off down the hall before turning back to Josh and now Sandra, who was standing behind him with confusion all over her face. “I thought you said Alex’s mother was dead?” My eyes widened as I looked past Josh to the woman standing behind him. “He what? And who are you?” Instead of Sandra answering me, it was Josh who responded, but instead of being shocked, I was home. He was now angry I was home. “Blair, why are you here?” I pulled my attention back to him. “What do you mean why am I here? I live here. Who the hell is she?” It was then that Sandra realized the lie Josh had built their relationship on for the last few years. She crossed her arms over her chest, “I am somebody that has been lied to just as much as you. It would seem over the last few years.” She narrowed her eyes at Josh, and I gasped. “How long?” It was at this point Josh knew he had been caught, and no amount of explaining would change the outcome of what was to come as Sandra filled me in on how long they had been together and what all he had told her. After she was done, she simply told him to lose her number and never call her again before leaving us to figure us out. After weeks and months of going back and forth to court and him fighting me over everything regarding our son, we were ordered to share custody of Alex. This worked for close to a year. Then he decided to move back to his hometown in another state. This brought us back to court, where Josh claimed he had to move back to help take care of his parents, who were not doing well. I tried to fight it because he claimed his parents had died before he moved to New York. But from the documents, he showed to the judge that had been yet another lie he had told. In the end, the judge ordered me to figure it out because I couldn’t keep my son from seeing his father. And his father had the right to move states to take care of his elderly parents. So here we are in another state living in a small town hundreds of miles away from the city I loved so much. Luckily for me, there was an opening at a nearby hospital working in their emergency room. I was even able to quickly find and hire a part-time nanny to help take care of Alex after school until I got home on my days with him. The court had ordered Josh and me to split our weeks with Alex, so from Sunday to Sunday, switching off every week, we agreed upon whoever had him being the one to bring him to the other person in the afternoon. I did my best to keep the short interactions with Josh civil for Alex’s sake, but it was hard.
