Alpha Whyte

-Serene- I watch my brother from afar as he carries the bale of hay to the stable and continuously gasp for breath. He looks pretty drenched from his previous task of feeding the pigs and gardening but he cannot stop working. There are guards around monitoring him and they will intervene if he stops or if I help him. This has been our lives for the past five years. He attends to the animals and other outdoor activities while I serve the Luna. We're both slaves to the crimson pack. Captured from the place we called home all because I foolishly fell in love with one of them. I had thought he loved me back but I never knew he was only pretending so he can lure into his trap. Their pack raided our town and he made me trust that he was helping my brother and I escape the town but he ended up bringing me to his alpha who turned my brother and I into his slaves. Now, we must do as he says or we die. I still try to help my brother as much as I can because he is way too young to go through all of this. When I see that he's in the stable, I sneak in through the back door where the gaurds won't find me and I pull him to me. "Hey, Allen." I whisper as I hug him. My eyes become teary as my hand comes in contact with his wet shirt. The thought that I can do nothing about his situation hurts me so much. He doesn't deserve this. He's just fourteen and yet, he does a lot of strenuous work. I put down the food and water that I brought and I urge him to start eating after we both sit on the floor. We're in an enclosed area in the stable and it'll be difficult for any of the guards to see us. I do this almost everyday. Serving the Luna gives me access to the kitchen and so it makes it a lot more easier for me to steal food. "Aren't you going to join me?" He asks, looking up at me. "No. I've had mine already." I reply and watch how fast he eats, hardly stopping to catch his breath or to drink water. "I'm really sorry that you're going through all of this, Allen." I say, taking a sigh and he stops eating. "How many times do I have to tell you that it isn't your fault. The men in this pack are evil." He states and I totally agree. They are evil. "I know and I promise that one day, you're going to be free from all this. I will see to it." I assure. "I believe you, Serene. We'll get out of here soon so stop feeling sad. I'm okay." He responds. His maturity amazes me a lot. Also does his bravery. ** I secretly watch as the luna slid her hands down the chest of the alpha who sits in a relaxed position in his throne like chair that is situated at the far end of the hall. Standing behind him, she bends her face over to his ear and does something which I totally find disgusting. The alpha on the other hand seems a bit deep in thoughts and fails to acknowledge any of the pleasure she's trying to create at the moment. I act as though I'm cleaning but I'm actually more focused on the both of them as I wish to know what it is that actually has the alpha very worried. "The siverstone pack's territory seems to be expanding a lot lately. They are literally taking over everything and that alpha of theirs seems to be doing a lot more than his late father." The luna, Melinda says, loud enough that I can hear it from where I am. "We both know that he is going to seek for revenge sooner or later. The only thing stopping him at the moment is that he doesn't know our location." She removes her hand from him and strolls over to the window. I hardly know what it is they're talking about. I'm always at the pack mansion and haven't been out for the past five years so I do not know much about other packs. "We need a plan or perhaps, someone who can notify us about their next move." She suggests and this time, the alpha, Owen speaks up. "We have black furs remember. There's no way I can send one of my pack members out there. He'll get caught, tortured and forced to expose us." He grumbles. "Hey, get out." The luna directs to me immediately and I do exactly. I guess she doesn't want me to hear what it is she is about to say. Well, this gives me some free time to rest and also to check up on my brother. I go to the field area where he should be by now and the sight before me is shocking. It's my brother and he's being trampled upon by one of the guards. Without thinking twice, I rush to where they both are and I use all my strength to push the guard away. "Stop! Let him go." I scream and stand protectively in front of Allen. The other guards surround us now and I also see Grayson, a beta approaching us. "What's going on here?" Grayson asks one of the guard. Somehow, I feel like he's going to worsen this whole situation just the way he worsened my life. He's the one who made me trust and love him and then turned me to a slave for his alpha. Never have I met someone more cunning and wicked before. "He stopped working, sir." The guard replies. Don't these people have any sympathy left. Allen and the other children have been working since morning and now it's almost evening yet, they get no break and also barely get fed twice a day. If not that I usually steal to sustain him, I'm sure he would have fallen sick by now. "In that case, he must be punished. Everyone of them is expected to follow the orders or they get punished. Bring the whip." Grayson orders and I'm thrown off by it. "Please! Don't do this. He's just a child." I kneel and beg but none of them seem fazed by it. One of the guards return with the whip and Grayson orders that Allen be flogged. "No. Punish me instead." I say, without thinking. There's no way I'm going to watch my brother get flogged like an animal so it's better I take his place. My words seems to bring a smile on Grayson's face and he studies me for a moment before nodding at the guard. "If you say so but note, yours will be increased to thirty." He says and the guard pulls me at once and forces me to kneel down. I'm not given a break before the whip comes striking down on my skin and I cry out in pain at how much it hurts. Allen also gets up from the ground and he's already in tears as he watches what they do to me. By the time they are done, I've already fallen to the ground. My whole body in pains and I need no one to tell me that my skin tore from the contact of the whip because I can feel it. "This will be a lesson to everyone." Grayson says and then turns to leave. Fuckin' bastard. "Serene.. Serene... I'm so sorry." Allen says in between tears as he tries to support me to get up. He leads me to the tiny room that we both share and I decide to stop crying, seeing that it's only making him cry more. "You didn't have to do that." Did he except me to watch him get flogged? "I'm okay Allen." I try to assure but my voice exposes me. I feel very broken and hurt right now. "No you're not." He rushes inside the bathroom and returns back with a bowl of water and a cloth. He goes behind me and zips down my blouse. I hear him lament more and I can tell it's because of the state of my injuries. I hiss as he cleans my wounds and afterwards, I try to comfort him. "It's okay, Allen. I'll heal in one to two days time. " I assure. I'm a werewolf and being a different breed makes me heal a lot more faster. We're still in the middle of a conversation when the door bursts open, revealing a guard. Not only are they wicked, they also lack manners as it is. "The Luna requests for your presence." He states and Allen tries to speak up but I stop him so he will not get into trouble. I stand up on my own despite the pain and zip up my blouse. "Your brother included." He adds. "Why does she want to see my brother?" I ask, a bit worried. I hope we haven't gotten into more trouble. "You'll know soon. You both follow me now."
