My heart leaps for joy as Whyte makes his way into the room.
He came for me. He came to save me despite everything that has happened between us these past few days.
"You do have some guts showing up here after everything that you've done." One of the elders says and Whyte only smiles.
He makes eye contact with me when he reaches where I'm kneeling at but, it's only for a short while.
