The aroma of roasted chicken and something freshly baked filled your nostrils, smell that came from outside, sneaking its way from the small cracks of your closed door. You groaned at the thought of you finally going outside. Days passed by and Christmas finally came, and throughout those days you avoided being seen by everyone even the twins, you don't even know if you're going to celebrate Christmas or not.
Though you highly thanked the twins for leaving food outside your door step and come back to take the plate and utensils after you finished eating, you're really glad to have the two in your life. You acted as if you're a prisoner, well you are, a prisoner of your own thoughts, sucking you in the dark abyss of your mind, full of negative thoughts.
From time to time you could hear light footsteps outside your door, like a short legged person running up and down the halls. It annoyed you, you almost bolted out the door to yell for it to stop.
Your thoughts were interrupted when you hear your phone ring from the side of your desk, you picked it up. You look at the phone, Christina's name plastered on the screen. Your finger slide on the screen and placed it on your ear.
"Is this a good time to talk?" Christina mumbled, you can already imagine the sheepish smile she's holding.
"Depends."
"Look, Y/N, I wanted to apologize that I forgot to warn you that your mothers going to be there."
"It's not your fault, Inah." You muttered quietly. "In a short amount of time I've been with her, even if the management declines her for visiting it still won't work, she's very stubborn."
"But still-"
"Give it a rest, Inah, it already happened okay?" You closed your eye and sighed, noticing that you might've snapped at her. "I'm sorry."
"Let's just forget about this happening?" She suggested. You nod as if she can see it. "Merry Christmas, Y/N."
"Merry Christmas." You replied.
"I gotta go," Christina said. "I'll see you next year?"
You chuckled halfheartedly. "See you next year."
"Bye." Before you could hang up she called you again. "And Y/N."
"Yes?"
"I hope you like my gift."
"What gi-" Before you could finish your sentence she hung up. You lean back from your seat and groaned.
"Y/N?.."
You turn your head around, staring at the door with a confused expression, hearing a familiar voice that you never thought would visit you in your room. Your seat creak as you stood up.
"Normani?" You called out, making your way towars the door, slightly twisting the knob and opened it slightly.
The chocolate skinned woman appeared on your sight, even though it was dimly lit outside her beauty wasn't still amiss. Normani smiled at you warmly, her perfectly white teeth added a charm on her pretty face.
"Are you alright, Y/N?" She asked, but opened her mouth again. "Let me rephrase that, will you be alright?"
You give her a side smile, appreciating her being concern to you when you slightly needed it at the moment. You nod your head. "I will be, thanks, Normani."
"It's Christmas, why don't you get out for a moment." She suggested, jotting her head to the side. "Everybody misses you, well not everyone but, we all miss you."
Normani stared at you for a moment, waiting for you to answer. She sighed as she watched you to shut the door close, thinking that she failed to get you out of your room to surprise everyone that you'll be spending the remaining christmas eve with them.
She turned around preparing to leave but abruptly paused on her tracks when she heard the locks of your door jiggled. Your door swung completely open, and Normani watched you stepped out of the door from your room, wearing just sweat pants and loose black tee shirt.
"What?" You asked and scanned your body. "Should I wear something formal or?"
"No it's alright." Normani gave you a reassuring smile. "What's more important is that you're already outside."
You chuckled, pointing your hand down the hall while you gave her a teethy grin. "Lead the way."

Troy's body hunches over as his fistful of hair was being pulled down. His eyes blinked rapidly when another small hand grabbed his nose and pulled it down as well as the hair. Sergio watched his brother and silently laughed to himself, relishing the moment seeing his brother suffer.
Troy resisted back. "Angelina, No." He scolded, placing his hand over the little girls hand and gently push it away from his face.
"Let her be, Troy, she's already having fun."
While the others were outside, the twins volunteered to babysit the little girl before them. Angelina arrived a day after the whole ordeal about you and your mother, apparently, his father wasn't able to take care of her since he's been busy with work. And the twins thought it was absurd, it was Christmas, it should only be family time.
"But it hurts." Troy grunted, feeling Angelina slightly pulled his hair again. "Hey, don't just sit there, help me!"
Sergio moved closer to Angelina. "Pull it harder little one." And Angelina did what he asked. Sergio laughed at his young brother, before taking the girl from his agitated brother, placing his arm on the girls' sides and placed her on his left leg.
Troy frowned while looking at the kid, fixing his hair back to a quiff. "Kid's really hates you." Sergio told him.
"I don't care." He huffed. Troy stared at the little girl's features. "She really does look like Y/N, doesn't she?"
Sergio nods. "She does." He stares down to the girl.
Angelina pointed her finger on Troy that is in front of her. "You know my sister?" She asked, her dimples appearing as she smiles at the thought of you.
Troy nods his head as an answer. "Your sister's a really great person, Angelina."
"Tell me.." Angelina asked, her arms opened wide as she waited for Troy to take her from Sergios lap.
Troy wrapped his arms around the little girl, placing her to lean at the side of his body. He smiled at an empty space, remembering something thay gives him a reason to be grateful to have you as a best friend.
Troy's head shot back as he tilt the glass against his mouth, his eyes squint feeling a sensation trailing down burning his throat. It's been two weeks since he and Trisha broke up, it was was the worst two weeks he experienced. Another shot slide to the side of his counter and he wrapped his finger around the small glass, ready for another shot.
You and Sergio entered the room, your eyes sweeping the scene in front of you. Heavy crowded room, sweaty bodies intertwined as the music boomed around the room, little colored orbs of blue, green and red danced along the skins of the crowd in the dimly lit room.
You scanned the area, an irritated frown made its way to your face as you spot Troy sitting by the bar, his reddish, drunk face illuminated by the glowing light shined by the transparent counter. You nudged the boy beside you then nod your head up to point towards the brunette.
A shot glass once again glides on the smooth table and into Troy's readied fingers. He raised the liquor up for a drink but something, or someone, swat the glass from him.
"Hey!" He looks up, seeing you pouring the drink down on the ground, not even caring if someone might slip because of it. "That's mine! I paid for that!"
"You think I give a damn?" You replied, placing the empty glass down on the counter. "What happened to you Troy? Look at you, you look like shit."
"You think I give a damn?" He mimicked, making a face at you. "Just leave me alone."
"Troy just stop this already." Sergio told him, placing his hand on his brothers shoulder and tried to pull him up by clutching a handful of his clothes. "Let's get you home."
"No!" Troy flail his arms to remove his brothers hand around it. "Leave me alone already!" He yelled at the both of you.
Your anger flare and your eyes went dark, the last thing you knew you're already holding Troy by the collar ignoring the crashing noise that is around him. As the stool behind Troy fell, the tension arises, sharp glares exchanges within the both of your eyes.
"Shut that stubborn mouth of yours and start moving, Troy." You demanded. "All you need to do is suck it up, I know this may hurt but Trisha left already, acting stupid won't do you anything good."
Troy's eyes filled, his tall frame slowly shrunk as his knees weakened, using the counter behind him for support as his arms placed on top of it.
"I just w-want to make the pain g-go away, Y/-NN." Troy breathed shakily. "If you're my friend, you'll let me just in just a little bit of time."
You shook your head at him. "No, Troy." Your voice dropped to a low, hard whisper and swung him back and forth. "Friend's are supposed to be there and support someone enough to tell them to stop being an i***t before they could run their lives!" Your voice raised, making sure that those words were surely embedded in his mind.

Ally frustratedly run her fingers through her long, wavy hair. Her heels pit patted the marbled floor, the sound bouncing on the walls emitting throughout the empty corridor. Behind her follows an annoyed blonde man taking long steps catching up on the small latina.
Troy -ogletree, grabbed Ally by the wrist and turn her towards him. "Would you just list-"
"No!" Ally screeched cutting him off. "I'm tired of this bullshit, Troy, ever since you arrived that girl has been calling you nonstop for days, who is she?"
"Ally, I told you she just a fri-"
"Friend?" Ally scoffed at him. "You always say that, do friends call you in the middle of the night just to say that they miss you? Do friends call you baby? Do you name your friends baby?"
The boy in front of Ally grew silent, looking down on the ground. Ally breathed out as her head nods up and down slowly. "I knew all of it, Troy, if you weren't stupid enough to leave your phone I wouldn't have known it."
Ally's feet went over the other as she prepare to walk past Troy who is in front of her. She turn her head half way to look towards her boy friend, who is now about to change, and huffed as she gave him a venomous glare.
She parted her lips, anger dancing in her chest momentarily numbing the ache in her heart. "We're over, Troy."
Though her ex boyfriend has his head down, she can't see how Troy's eyes turned into something intimidating. Troy heard Ally's footsteps as she walked down the hallway and snapped his body around and bolted towards her.
He placed his hands on Ally's shoulders before shoving her against the hard wall. Ally's lungs felt squeezed and the air left her body, she grunted, whimpering as she felt her back ached.
"T-the hell are y-you doing!" Ally cried.
Troy's hand clasped under Ally's jaw and pressed her head against the wall, didn't even cared if it'll hurt her. His hand clenched tightly, swinging Ally's face from side to side.
"It's not over yet Ally." Troy whispered with tight jaw, glaring at the small latina. "No one ever breaks up with me, no one!" He screamed at her face, ignoring Ally's constant cries and tears rolling down her cheeks. "And if you do break up with me," He paused, his face leaning closer to Ally's. "You'll regret it, especially that asian brunette with a twin."
Tears flowed down from Ally's eyes like waterfall, her eyes shining from the tears as she stared at the man before her that she doesn't regocnize anymore at the moment.
Troy let out a dark chuckle, giving Ally a devilish smirk. "Looks like the tables have turn." He said before his smirk falls into a serious one. "I'm a guy, Ally, I see the way he looks at you and it makes me wonder, what special did he saw from you?"
Ally's sobbed quietly, her chest rapidly moves as if she's hyperventilating. "Why are you doing t-this Troy?"
"Good quesion," Troys orbs rolled as he squints his eyes, pretending that he was thinking. His attention averted back to Ally. "It's easy, Ally. Fame. Fame is very easy to achieve when we use you, you and your band mates. It's not like you girls never experienced being used before." Troy laughed at her as if it was the funniest thing on earth.
Troy stopped and his hand tightened on Ally's jaw. "Now, remember what I said Ally, break up with me or you'll regret it. You hear me?"
Ally unwillingly nod her head, the ache in her jaw sending painful tears in her eyes. "Answer me!" Ally jolted as Troy yelled at her face.
"Yes!" Ally breathlessly answered, vigorously nodding her head.
"Oi love birds!" Troy quickly pulled Ally's face towards his chest taking the advantage to misdirect Dinah's distance sight and pretend that he only has Ally in his warm embrace.
Troy turned his head towards Dinah and gave her a force smile. "Yeah?"
"We're done buying the groceries we're going to head home now." Dinah said from the end of the hallway.
Troy nods his head. "Okay, we'll be there in a moment."
Troy's smile instantly faded watching dinah moved out from his sight and pulled Ally back by her fistful of hair. "Remember what I told you, Ally." He said before pushing Ally against the wall and walked away.
Ally released a tight breath she's been holding, sliding down leisurely on the wall with tears strolling down her face. Ally sobbed, her lungs hitching every now and then as she tries to control her breathing.
Regardless of her finding out what his boyfriend's true color is, one very close person stuck into her mind.
Is Brad using Lauren too?
