**Ember POV**
I sat in the living room chatting with Kala. She was holding a spiral notebook and pen making a running list of things we needed to buy and do before these pups made their arrival. I was beginning to feel a little anxious and overwhelmed. I guess I didn’t realize just how much we would need. I made it clear to Kala that I didn’t want to have a baby shower. I know she really wanted to, but it just wasn’t my thing. I would rather pick everything out and buy it ourselves.
