Chapter 19

"If only I could tell you everything I knew, son. If only I could..." Ella said in a whisper.

After hearing Jakobe's story about him and Ava, Ella deeply sighed. She wanted to tell Jakobe where might be Ava but she will put her life in danger. There are enemies lurking around. They are just waiting for the right time to attack. Aziel and Jianna's murderer is alive and he or she already knew that the chosen one was not dead.

"What did you just say, mom?" Jakobe asked looking at her mom.

"Oh, I said that don't lose hope because maybe, one of this day, you might see her. Not only hearing her voice but also seeing her in flesh." Jakobe furrowed his forehead hearing what her mother said.

"How can you say that, mom? Are you sure about that?" Jakobe said with a glimpse of hope in his heart. 

"Just a mother's hunch. And nothing is impossible in this world." Ella said then smiled at her son.

"Alpha!" Malcolm said through the mind link.

Jakobe felt that there's something wrong happened because of his lead warrior's voice.

"What is it?" Jakobe said that made Ella looked at him with a creased forehead because he stood up immediately.

"We must hurry. Ava's house is under attack. I already informed Beta Karsyn and Gamma Jaxtyn. Beta Karsyn, together with the pack warriors, are on their way while Gamma Jaxtyn will be staying at the border to tighten the security." Malcolm said continuously.

In a blink of an eye, Jakobe shifted.

"What's the matter son?" Ella said with a worried voice.

"Uncle Kenji and Auntie Rosalia are in danger. I need to protect them." Jakobe only said before hurriedly run going outside.

Ella was left alone hoping that Ava's foster parents will be safe.

After talking to Ava, Jakobe visited Kenji and Rosalia almost everyday. He wanted to make sure that they are safe and hoping that he could talk to Ava once again. At first, Kenji and Rosalia were a little uncomfortable but as days passed by, they were used to Jakobe being around.

"Oh my!" Ava, Night, and Nala looked at Nevaeh when she suddenly rose from her seat. They were enjoying their meal when Nevaeh felt that the shield she placed around Ava's house is starting to weaken.

"What's the matter, My Queen?" Nyla asked.

"The shield..." Night looked at Ava after hearing Nevaeh's words.

"Is there anything wrong?" Ava asked.

"Your parents are in danger." Ava's eyes went wide.

"Let's go!" Ava said and walked towards the door.

"You're staying here." Night said that made Nevaeh and Nyla looked at her.

"What!?" Ava said looking at Night not believing what she heard.

"We're going and we're gonna make sure that your parents are safe." Night said that made Ava felt annoyed.

"I'm coming and no one can't stop me!" Ava said and made a staring contest with Night.

"I think we should be going. Night this is the right time to see what Ava have learned from her training." Nevaeh said that made Night looked at her.

"I know it's dangerous but once you become one with her, it will be more dangerous." Nevaeh continued.

"Besides, you're with me." Ava said looking at Night tenderly.

"Those are my parents, the people who gave their life to me. It's my chance to return the favor." Ava said that made Night deeply sighed.

"Okay but promise me that once the situation become dangerous, you should run as fast as you can to safety." Night said seriously looking at Ava.

"I promised!" But Ava have crossed her fingers behind her back. She don't want to run and leave her loved ones. She will fight until the end.

Nevaeh placed the protective shield around Kenji and Rosalia's house for Ava's safety. When she learned that her brother Aziel was killed, she knew that the killer was after power. Their grandfather, Cyrus, was the King of the wolves and their grandmother, Olivia, was the Queen of the fairies. In their bloodline, the first born shall inherit the father and the mother's power. Running in his or her blood is the blood of a wolf and a blood of a fairy. The killer must thought that when he killed Aziel, the power will be transferred to him but, he's wrong. It will only be transferred to the first born of the family.

The shield is a three layered defense. The first layer is for the imps which are the worst enemies of the fairies. The second layer is for the rouges. And the third layer is for people that have bad intentions towards the family. She didn't know how it happened but she knew that someone planned it very carefully on how to destroy the shield.

"Queen Nevaeh." Night said. 

Nevaeh formed her hands into a circle and a hole started to appear. Nyla entered followed by Nevaeh and then her selected warriors. Night and Ava were the ones who entered last.

"She's here!" The Master said and mind link the rest of his rouges.

"Now is your chance, get her or I will get you!" The rouges inside his castle and the rouges who were attacking Kenji and Rosalia's house run towards the same direction.

Jakobe and his packs warriors were left confused of why the rouges their fighting have hurriedly run.

"Beta Karsyn, check on Uncle and Auntie. Malcolm and the rest, come with me." Jakobe said and lead the way in following the rouges.

"Remember, this is not a training anymore. Once we reach the other side, it will be the real thing. We are not certain of what are or who are waiting for us on the other side. Be careful and remember your promise to me, Ava." Ava can feel Night's anxiousness.

"I will be fine. You're with me, Auntie Nevaeh and Nyla too. Besides, I can already use your injurious, s**t hot drills." Nevaeh and Nyla smiled hearing Ava's terms on her training. Night just rolled her eyes.

"Be ready!" Queen Nevaeh said when they are nearing the end of the black hole.
