Chapter 18

"It must be the mate bond." Ava creased her forehead upon hearing what Night have said.

"Mate? Bond?" Night smiled seeing Ava's innocent look.

"You're mates. You're his other half. He's your destined one." Night said.

"He's what?" Ava asked with a high pitch tone.

"In the human world, he's your boyfriend." Night said.

"He's my boyfriend?" Night rolled her eyes because Ava kept on repeating her words.

"How can he be my boyfriend? We only met recently. I don't know him and he don't know me." Ava said.

"When you were born, the moon goddess already made you to be Jakobe's mate and no one can change that. His wolf is also my mate." Night said and Ava held her head and combed her hair with her fingers.

"These things are making my head ache again. The mate bond a while ago and the mood goddess now." Ava said.

"Don't worry..." Night wasn't able to finish her sentence because Ava continued it.

"When we become one, you will understand everything. And when will it happen?" Ava asked.

"Soon, Avayah. Soon..." Night said that made Ava sigh deeply.

"Are you sure, Alpha?" Malcolm repeated his question about Jakobe's conversation with Ava.

"Yes! I'm one hundred percent sure that it was her. I knew her voice." Jakobe said. 

After talking to Ava, they immediately left her parents' house but before leaving, he told Kenji and Rosalia that their daughter is safe and doing well. He didn't answer that couple's question on how did he knew that Ava is safe because they might not believe him.

"Did she told you where she is?" Malcolm asked and Jakobe shook his head for a NO answer.

"I don't know how it happened but I'm thankful that she's okay. We need to know where's that place." Jakobe said.

"But how?" Malcolm asked and Jakobe sigh deeply because honestly, he don't know how.

As days passed, Ava continued her training with Night. Nevaeh saw Ava's changes not only physically but also mentally. Night also noticed her abilities are starting to show up.

"What do you think?" Nevaeh asked Night while watching Ava fighting Nyla with a hand to hand combat.

"I hope she's ready. After all, I can see that she gave her all." Night said.

"Nyla!" Nevaeh and Night both looked at Nyla who was on the ground holding her stomach.

"What happened?" Nevaeh asked helping Nyla in standing up.

"There was a light, a bright light. I don't know, I just... I really don't know what happened. I'm sorry, Nyla. I didn't mean to hurt you." Ava said while her eyes are starting to well up.

"Relax, I'm fine." Nyla said while smiling at Ava.

"Let's call it a day. You both should rest." Night said.

"I'm sorry, Nyla." Ava said before walking away from them.

"What happened?" When Ava was already inside the mansion, Night spoke looking at Nyla.

"There was a light that came from her hand that hit me. It's like, I was punched by ten warriors." Night looked at Nevaeh.

"She's ready but we should also be ready. When the two of you unite, all her memories will come back and all her powers too. But..." Nevaeh wasn't able to finish her words because Night spoke.

"Enemies will also return and look for her." Night said.

Ava entered her room and sat on the edge of her bed. She looked into her hand.

"What happened back there?" Ava said talking to herself. She tried to concentrate and made a move with her but nothing happened. She tried again in a different angle but nothing happened. 

"How did it happened?" Ava said talking to herself again.

"Aaaaahhhhh...!" Ava screamed then slumped her body onto the bed.

"Can I come in?" Ava heard Night through the mind link.

"Yeah." After hearing Ava's reply, Night went inside.

"You're ready." Night said that made Ava looked at her.

"Ready for what?" Ava said with her raised brow.

"Our union." Night said and Ava kept her silence for a while.

"Will it hurt?" Ava asked.

"At first but you will get used to it. Besides, you trained so hard for this." Night said.

"When it will be?" Ava asked feeling excited at the same time nervous.

"During the full moon. That will be the day after tomorrow." Night answered.

"Okay..." Ava said feeling anxious.

Jakobe was sitting on his office chair when someone knocked from his door.

"Come in." Jakobe said and her mother came into view.

"What is it, Mom?" Jakobe said and stood up from his chair and walked towards his mother.

"Just want to know if my eldest son is doing fine." Ella said with her warm smile.

Jakobe deeply sighed before looking at her mother seriously.

"I want to say I'm doing good but honestly, I'm not. I'm missing my mate. My wolf was keeping his silence for quite some time now. The rouges, the Alpha duties, everything were not okay." Jakobe said feeling weak and depressed.

"Come, sit here." Ella said while tapping the side of the couch where she was sitting.

When Jakobe sat, Ella held his hand.

"Life is full of problems. Life is full of trials. Life is full of struggles. But, they are not given to you just because life wanted to play with you. They were given to you because you are strong. You are someone brave enough to overcome all those sadness, all those pains, all those obstacles. Face them one by one. Don't do things at the same time. At the end of the day and everything went well, you could say to yourself, I've done it, with your head up." Ella said and that made Jakobe smiled.

"Thank you, Mom. You're really the best." Jakobe said and hugged her mother.

"I've spoke to Ava." Jakobe said that made Ella looked at him with excitement.

"Really? You finally found her? Where is she?" Ella asked continuously.

Jakobe breathe out then told her mother what happened on Ava's house.
