Chapter five - I should be offended

2089 Words
Kali's POV: My small tour has started. I went to three cities. The meet and greet will always be my favorite part. I have said on social media that I don't need presents from my fans, but they keep bringing me things. Mostly, they are sweets and snacks. I have so much from them at home. I don't eat that often. I think they want me to get fat. The good news is that I work out every day. That is if you can call dancing a workout. I don't have to go to the gym. I will say that I'm thankful for everything that is happening. I never thought I would have so much. I mean, every singer dreams of it. This is why I'm working so hard. Let's say this is my way of saying thank you to everyone who has supported me since the beginning. I started with covers of popular songs. Now, I have two albums, and I'm going on tours. I'm excited for the next city. The show is in two days. I'm trying to take breaks because of my dancers. When it comes to performing on stage, I'm full of energy. This is one of my favorite things. I wish my parents could see me. They watch me online, but it's not the same. I have been to my hometown, but my parents were busy that day. They work a lot. I offered them my help, but they refused it. Not every parent wants their kid to take care of them. I hope that they can come to one of my concerts. I'm in Denver. This is where my show will be today. The fans in this city are amazing. I have received so many posters from them. I have no idea why they do this, but I love it. For Halloween, some of them even dressed like me. That was so sweet. Some things make me emotional. This is one of them. I never thought I would be where I am today. Of course, my parents take a big part in this. Without their support, I wasn't going to be here. Currently, I'm rehearsing on the stage. I should be in perfect shape. Jess is with me. I take her everywhere. After all, I need my assistant. Well, sometimes, I prefer the best friend. It depends on what I need from her. I did the choreography twice because I messed up. I came too early. I avoid drinking coffee because caffeine is not that good for me. Energy drinks are a big no. I'm trying to be healthy, but I love junk food. Blame me if you want. I won't change myself or my habits. - Here is your lunch. - Thanks. Danny. - How are you? Tired? - Me? Tired? There is no way. I'm full of energy. - Take a rest. - Oh, I love this. Where did you get it? - The restaurants here are good. I chose the closest one. - Thank you so much. This is so delicious. - I said and took a bite - You should eat all of it. - Can we do the choreography again? - Kali. Everything is perfect. We do it in every show. - I know, but I might mess up. - You were sleepy in the morning. That's it. - I don't think so. - You are worrying too much. Fans will love you. - Will you do it? - What? - I'm kidding. I'll try to work less. - I don't see it happening. Otherwise, you won't be the thunderstorm Kali. - The what? Who said that? - Every person who works with you. - Really? - I'll leave you to eat. - No, stay. I don't want to be alone. - We'll be here. - Alyssa said - Oh, thanks. Where is your lunch? - We already had ours. Only you have left. - I must have lost track of time. - You always do it. This is your thing. You never stop working. It's impossible for you. - I have my goals. - Didn't you achieve them already? - Jessica said - I always make more. That way, I will have what to fight for. - Interesting. - I wonder what your motto is. Well, if you have one. - Work harder if you want to achieve happiness. - Where did you hear that? - Nowhere. I invented it. - Now it makes sense. Only you can say something like this. - Unlike some people, I appreciate what I have. Also, the people around me. - Is this about us? - No, no. I saw something online. It wasn't about me. - Don't pay attention to every hate comment. - I don't. - I don't think so. - I want to eat. The afternoon will be busy. The entire afternoon I spent practicing. I shouldn't be worried about my shows, but I want to give my best. This is what my fans paid for. I let my dancers breathe. They will do the main work tonight. The other thing is that I want them in good form. I'm trying to dance as much as possible, but it's hard to do it while you are singing. An hour before the show, I went to get ready. I always wear comfortable clothes. Makeup is not my favorite, but I can't go without it. It's helpful in some ways. - How are you feeling? - Danny asked - I'm so good. - I can see your good mood and energy. - I want to go out already. - You will have the chance. - I'm hyped up. These drinks are so good. - Alyssa said - Red Bull? Really? That's the best you have? - I like it. - I didn't say the opposite. I have something better. - I said and gave her my bottle - What is that? - Protein shake. - Of course. No, thanks. I had something similar. It didn't end well. - It's your choice. - Did you see how many people were here? - Jasmine asked - Much? - The place is crowded. All these people are here for you. - The meet and greet will be longer this time. - You deserve it for all the hard work you did. - Maybe. That's all I can say. My brain is stuck. - Not only yours. - Very funny. I have so many things in my head. Mostly, it's about dinner. - I said, and they laughed - You will have it after the show. - I might be too tired to eat. - Excuses. We can go out. - I'll see what I will do. Let's get ready. - One last check. You look good. Let me remove that. You are perfect. - my stylist said - Thank you. - Are you ready? - Jack asked - Yes. Let's hit it! - I said, and we walked on the stage The show was an hour long. I'm saving the longer ones for the next tour. People were screaming so loud. It's good that I got used to this. Sometimes, I feel like it's too much for me. Luckily, this passes fast. After the show, I had a fifteen-minute break. It's so hot in here. I got ready and walked to the room for meet and greets. When I saw the line, I left speechless. There were so many people here. They are here for me. I can't believe it. - How many people left? - I asked the security - Only two. They are together. - Bring them in. - OMG! You are Kali James. You are Kali James. - a little girl said - Yes, I am. And you are? - I'm Ally. - Hey, Ally. How are you? - I'm good. The show was great. I love you so much. - Aww, thank you. I see you took someone with you. - This is my brother. - Hey. - Did you finish? - he asked, looking at his sister - Ally, do you want a picture? - Yes, please. I want to show it at school. They didn't believe I would meet you. - Now you have a proof. Are you ready? - Ready. - she said, and I took the picture - There you go. - Thank you so much. - she said and hugged me - You're welcome. Does your brother want a picture with me? - Me? No way. Even if you pay me, I won't do it. - I should be offended, but I'm not. - I'm only a babysitter. If she is done, we'll go. - Since you don't want one with me, can I take one? With you? - What? I'm not your fan, and I never will be. - Don't talk like that. She is perfect. - Ally said - It's ok. I'm used to such things. Hopefully, you will change your mind. - Don't rely on that. - When will your next show be here? - Ally asked - I don't know. When I decide to do it, everyone will know. - I can't wait to see you again. - Me too. - We have to go. - her brother said - Bye, Kali. - Bye, Ally. It's the first time I see someone pissed at me. I'm sure I wasn't the problem. When I finished there, I went to take my things. My dance crew invited me for dinner, but I denied it. I wanted to be alone for some time. Jess will go with them. Bryan didn't make it to this show. He might come to the next one. I put my glasses on and a hoodie. I don't want to be seen. Later, I walked around the town. I stopped at one place and got a milkshake. Soon, someone walked in. - Hey, Jayden. The usual? - Make it double. - Trouble? - I had to babysit Ally and take her to this stupid concert. - I'm sorry. Here. If you want, I'll give you another one. - No, thanks. This should be enough. - Coincidence or a master plan? - I asked and walked up to him - You have to be kidding me. What are you doing here? Are you stalking me? - Why would I do that? I wanted to go out. - What's with the clothes? - It's my me time. - I thought you liked your fans. - I do, but sometimes, I want to be alone. I'm Kali. - I know. - What is your name? - Jayden. It's not like you need to know. - I believe you are from this town. - Great guess, Sherlock. - Can you recommend a nice quiet place? Not a park. - There is one, but I don't think you can go there. - Why not? - Because you will get lost. - he said, chuckling - I have a map on my phone. - It won't help you. Also, it's dark. - Then, you can show it to me. What do you say? - Don't you have a boyfriend? - Yes, so? This doesn't mean I can't go out with other boys. I do it all the time. - The last thing I want is to spend more time with you. - Ouch, that's hurt. - Get used to it. - I am. You can check my comments section. - You are not everyone's favorite? - No, I'm not. Many people hate me. - How are you so positive, then? - Did you see all these people? They came to see me. That's all I need. - Good for you. - Will we go? - I don't want to. - It's too late. - I said and grabbed his hand I might have lied to him about the place. I only wanted to find out why he reacted this way. Some people fought to take pictures with me, and he didn't even look at me. The problem was his little sister. He told me that she plays my music all the time. The boy got annoyed. Honestly, I would be too. In the end, we managed to have a good conversation. I made sure no one was around. I don't want people to think I'm cheating on Bryan. Rumors spread faster than the light. I like going out with boys. After all, two of them are my dancers. I hope that no one saw us.
