Chapter ten - Apology

2085 Words
Jayden's POV: Ally didn't talk to me for two days because of what I said in the livestream. It was only an opinion. I don't know why she cares so much about it. The singer didn't get offended. At least, this is what I think. It doesn't matter. I tried to go out with the boys more often. Tom still has to think of a business idea. Finally, he started writing his project. No one said that it has to be a real thing. It's about the concept and how you will develop it. I put a presentation and a few words. I had time to draw what my product would look like. After all, it's not real. The other thing is that you should compare it with the competitor. In the business world, you should tell the customers why your product is better. If you want your sales to be high, you better convince them. Honestly, it's based on preference. It depends on how this product works for you. Not everyone will love it, and that is fine. I won't like every product I use. Let's say that I had a horrible experience with some. The worst one was one face cream I used two years ago. It was like a nightmare for my skin. My project is about hair products. It will be a whole line. I'm not sure about the convincing part. I have a marketing strategy. This better be the best product that exists on the market. I hope that I will pass this class with a good grade. It's almost time to present my project. I don't think I have to talk about it in front of the class. At the same time, the teacher said he wouldn't read them. I have spoken in front of an audience a few times. That was in high school. It's not lovely. I don't enjoy the stares. This is why I'm not famous. Also, I don't do anything related to social media. I'm the background that nobody cares about. Believe it or not, I like it. I prefer to be invisible. It's better if I focus on myself and my classes. I'm in my marketing class. This is very important when we talk about business. Many companies have a whole marketing department. This is why a good product or a brand stands out from the others. It's not a lie that sometimes the marketing sucks. It depends on many factors. After this class, I went outside. Only Bailey came. Andrew and Tom went in another direction. It's not like I won't see them later. We have the same classes. I pulled out my phone and saw a notification. I will read it later. - Is there a problem? - Bailey asked - No. It's nothing important. - It doesn't look like that. Open it. - I don't want to. - Why? From who is it? - I don't know, and I don't care. - Then, I'll do it. Thank god for face ID. - she said and unlocked my phone - Will you give it back? - No way. It's from Kali James. You have to be kidding me. - What? Are you sure? - The account is verified. It has to be her. She is apologizing. - For what? - Read it. - I hope this is your account. I'm looking for a guy named Jayden. I'm sorry for the way I reacted on the livestream. It felt like a stranger knows more about my relationship than I do. I'm not saying you are right, but I had no right to treat you this way. Before you think it, my manager didn't make me do it. I do feel this way. Kali James. - See? - Do you think that I care? - Gosh, Jayden. What else do you want? - Nothing. I don't want to interact with her. I'll block her. - No! - she said and took my phone - Give it back. - No. - Bailey. - I won't let you do that. It doesn't matter if you are mad at her or not. This will be a mistake. - It's my mistake. - Jayden, listen to me. If you want, ignore it. She won't know. - Why do you care so much about my relations with Kali? We met only once and nothing happened. - It's a lie. I know you didn't talk to her at the concert only. - Why do you think this way? - Because since then, you have started stalking and upsetting her. - She is not a princess. - No one said that. I'm trying to say that the girl didn't do anything to you. For some reason, you are mad at her. - This is my problem. I would like it if you stop talking about this. - I'm afraid you might do something. - Do you care? - Yes, I do. You are my friend. - Then leave me alone. - I said and left I don't care about Kali's stupid apology. I'm not sorry about what I did. Maybe she knows I'm right. I told her. It was her choice if she wanted to listen to me. Also, I don't want to know anything about her. For the rest of my classes, I didn't talk with anyone. When I went home, I was surprised to see my mom there. Ally was at home, too. I went to take a snack. Mom stopped me before I could go to my room. I'm not in the mood to talk. - Honey, is everything ok? You don't look much in the mood. - I'm fine. Do you need something? - No, I only wanted to check on you. If there is a problem, you can share it with me. - Mom, I'm fine. - Do you want us to go upstairs? - Yes. - Ally is not here. What is the problem? - Do you know the singer my sister is obsessed with? - Kali. What about her? - Read this. - I said and gave her my phone - I see. Where is the problem? - Why the heck would she text me back? I hate her. - No, you don't. You are annoyed because of Ally. - Maybe. I don't know. - She didn't ask for a reply. Is this why you are upset? - Bailey thinks I was mean to Kali. - Weren't you? - I am free to express my opinion. - If you don't like her, why do you keep interacting with her? - What? I don't do it. - Are you sure? This is what it looks like. - It has nothing to do with that. - I don't think you know what is wrong. In that case, I can't help you. - It doesn't matter. I don't care. - I think you do. Is it related to Bailey? - No. At least our relations are better than the one with mine with Ally. - That is your fault. - I know. You don't need to remind me. Mom and I talked for a while. I'm glad that she is listening to me. It's not like I have much to talk about. I have no idea why the whole Kali thing is bothering me. The girl didn't do anything to me. For some reason, I can't stand her. Maybe it's my sister's fault. She started this obsession. I don't want to hurt anyone, but this girl bugs me. Hopefully, this won't be for long. The rest of the afternoon I spent in my room. I went out only for dinner. - How is my dinner? I tried cooking something new. - my mom said - It's good. I think you should experiment more often. - my dad said - Thanks. I see Ally liked it as well. - Delicious. - Jayden? If you don't like it, I can make you something else. - No, it's great. I'm not that hungry. - Don't think about this. - It's easier said than done. - Is there a problem? - my dad asked - You don't have to worry about that. We fixed everything. - my mom said - Mom, do we have a desert? - Ally asked - Yes, but you need to finish with your main meal. - I'm done. Can I try it now? - You ate only half of it. - If I eat all of it, I won't have space for your dessert. - she said, and my parents laughed - Ok, ok. I'll bring it to you. - What about me? I finished, too. - Ok, big boy. Jayden, do you want a dessert? - No, thanks. I don't want to eat. - Starving yourself is not a solution. Listen to me. - Can you give me the lecture another day? I'm not in the mood for that. - You are not in the mood for anything. - I will go to my room if you keep talking about this. - I only want to help you. - Thanks, but this has nothing to do with you. - Whatever you say. - Call me if you need anything. - I said and walked to my room Mom only wants to help me. The thing is that I don't want to keep talking about that. It's better if I forget it. I don't care about Kali's apology, but I want to know why Bailey defends her so much. I took my laptop and watched a movie. It's still stupid, but I have nothing else to do. I checked my phone, but there were no new messages. It's not like I expect someone to text me. I was laying on my bed when I heard a knock on the door. The last thing I want is to talk with my mom. I got up and went to open it - Mom, I don't want to. - Hey. - Bailey? What are you doing here? - I came to check on you. How are you? - How should I be? - Can I come in? - Can you? - I see. - I was joking. Walk in. I don't want anyone to listen. - They can do it if they want to. - I know. Why are you here? You didn't tell me. - Because I didn't plan it. The decision was made at the last minute. - And? - I'm sorry for the morning. I didn't want to offend you. - I don't care. - Yes, you do. Otherwise, you wouldn't be mad at me. - I'm not mad at you. I only can't understand you. - Can't understand what? - Why do you care about this girl so much? I can be mean if I want to. This has nothing to do with you. - Because you weren't such a person before. Jayden used to be a nice guy. Now, I don't know who he is. - Only for this? Then you ask me why I don't go out with girls. - Jayden, stop being interested in her. I want my old friend back. - So we are only friends? - What do you mean? - What about the best part? - I have no idea what you are talking about. - Of course. - What is going on with you? If you don't want to talk with me, say it. - I thought you were my best friend. Maybe I was wrong. - I said it. Friends. - There is a difference between friends and best friends. - Oh, now you pay attention. What about everything else I said? - Forget it. I don't want to talk about this. - Jayden. - Leave me alone. She didn't say anything and hugged me. I know she doesn't have a crush on me, but sometimes her actions make it look like that. I don't enjoy people touching me, but I won't tell her. Otherwise, she will think it has something to do with her. That is not the case. I barely let my mom do this. Let's not talk about Ally. We still don't speak to each other much. I have ignored her. Let's say that I have other things to occupy me. At least I don't have to babysit her anymore. I don't mind it. Well, she is old enough to take care of herself. I hope that I won't get involved in anything else.
