Chapter eleven - You are not the same

Kali's POV:

I wrote an apology message to Jayden. No one told me to do it, but I felt terrible for how I treated him. There wasn't a response. I wasn't waiting for one, either. I only wanted to sleep in peace. I won't lie that I feel like he was right. For the past week, I haven't been with Bryan. I called him every night, but he was always busy. At least Jess was with me. She was out as well, but not that much. I have no idea what is going on between us. Everything was well in the beginning. Maybe I did something. That's why I'm ready to do whatever he tells me. I would like to have the old relationship back. It was better than what we have now. I don't even know what it is. We became so distant. I want to talk to him, but I have no idea what to tell him. The other reason is that he might get mad at me. Things between us already look bad. I won't want to make them worse. It's enough that I have other work to do. My manager offered to make an acoustic live show. I can stream it online. I don't remember ever doing this. It might be fun. I can answer questions from fans and sing some of my songs. This will be something different. I'm trying to be more modern. I mean, to use all the technologies and apps I have. It should be simple. I hope that Bryan and I can fix our relationship.

I went to the studio an hour ago. I called Bryan, but the voicemail turned on. I told him to call or text me. I don't think he wants to go out with me. At least Jess is here. She is helping me with what she can. It's not like I make her do much. I want to do another show. Well, I haven't chosen a place. I'm trying to make them affordable so more people can come to see me. After all, I have to earn something as well. I work so hard for a reason. I'm glad that so many people are coming for me.

Today is a music video day. Chris is here with us again. I invited him to be part of it. I think he will fit well as a teacher. The song is perfect for him. I and the rest of the dancers will be students. The whole concept is that he is teaching a dance class. We have to learn the steps. I'm trying to concentrate on that, but it's not easy. I have other things in my head as well. One of them is Bryan. I should kick him out of my head, but I can't. Hopefully, he will answer me.

- Are you ok? You look upset. - Danny said

- I'm fine. You don't have to worry about me.

- We need you in a good mood for the video. - he said, chuckling

We did everything the director told us. It looks great. I know this video will be a success. Also, the choreography for it is made by Chris. I have seen many talented people like him. The thing is that not everyone will want to work with you. He was the third person I called. The first two weren't interested. Sometimes, I can't understand people. They don't tell you what they want. At least someone is helping us. I appreciate everything he has done for us the past few days.

We nailed this. It turned out so good. Hopefully, my fans will like the music video. Later, I went to get lunch. That was our break. While everyone was eating, I asked Chris to show me some steps. Maybe he should plan the choreography for one of my songs. I wanted to invent something new and creative. After some time, I noticed Bryan. He didn't look happy. I excused myself and walked up to him. I don't think he is here to see me.

- Hey. I didn't think you would come.

- No, but you were always busy whenever I asked you out.

We managed to finish the video until the rest of the day. I don't use any special effects or something similar. This means I don't need days to complete it. Well, it was fun. Chris helped us a lot. I asked him about another song. He said he would think of something and call me. My boyfriend was quiet. He didn't do anything. At least he listened to me. I can't believe Bryan thought I would cheat on him. I'm not such a person. I went home, and he followed me.

- Kali. Stop. - he said and grabbed my hand

- I don't want to talk with you.

- What did I do wrong?

- How can you think that I will cheat on you?

- I saw her with a guy. What was I supposed to think?

- He talks about Chris.

- The choreographer. I'm sure he is taken. I have seen pictures of him online with a girl. Also, he is at least ten years older than Kali.

- Because he is a dance teacher. That is his job. To teach people. He can't do it from ten miles away.

Sometimes, he is so annoying. I can't stand him. I don't know what is wrong with him. A few months ago, everything was fine. Now, it looks like there is a big hole in our relationship. I have no idea how to fix this. I will never cheat on him. He should've known this. I'll do anything he tells me to keep the good relations we used to have. If he wants something from me, he can say it. I put my job over him because he barely had time to see me. Once he does it, this will be a drama scene. I don't want things to continue like that. It's not healthy. I hope that we'll stop fighting soon.
