The Beta's Abused Daughter

15 YEARS OLD

It’s one week before my birthday. I will finally be 16. So, from then on, I could find my mate. I am so excited. This is the day I literally have been living for. I just want things to go my way just this once. I don’t want power or anything like that. I just want someone who will love me unconditionally. Like I hear what mates should. That’s all I want. I have been praying to our Moon Goddess and I believe she has been the one to give me the strength to keep going to keep pushing through all of this. 

I am cleaning the ball room and starting to set everything up for the Alpha’s son Jake to claim his position as the Alpha and my brother to claim the Beta title from our parents. I know I am not supposed to talk to them but I needed to know what they wanted it was a celebration for them. Some things they don’t get a choice in but other stuff they can. Like the food and stuff since I have to do all of it. In most packs the Luna plans all this stuff. I think that she just likes to see me so over worked and busy. 

“Alpha, Beta, I need to know what food you both would like at the party. If you want anything special?” I say in a very small voice while looking at the ground showing my neck.

“God are you stupid or what go ask someone else we are busy!” my brother tells me as he spits in my face

“Alpha, Beta, one of the omegas sent me to ask you both. I am sorry for bothering you. Luna wants to know everything by tonight. I can come back later.”

“Do not come back send someone else we don’t want to look at your face” soon to be Alpha Jake says. 

“Yes Alpha.” I leave as fast as I can. I see Nina and I walk up to her. “Nina can you do me something later. Luna wants the plan for ceremony and soon to be Alpha and Beta won’t answer to me and told me to have someone else go up there and get the info they need. Could you please do it if you have time.”

“Of course, me and my mate having a meeting with them later today anyways about something. Hun you know I can will always help when I can if they don’t want you doing it.” Nina smiles at me. 

I am so glade I have had her. She has been helping me all of these years. She helped me graduate high school. And get my GED. I know I am only 15 but Nina always did tell me I was too smart for my age. While I wait for Nina to come back. I start working on putting up lights and all the decorations for the ballroom. 

I know you probably think it’s weird, right, well not really, I have to have the ballroom done the from of the pack house the back patio and the back yard. If I didn’t start now I would never have all my chores done with everything else I have to do around here. As of right now I am setting up tables and chairs. After I finished all of that I started to put the table clothes and chair covers on everything as well. Constantly doing thing was a good thing it helps me keep some strength. Not as much as everyone else but enough to be able to carry more than a few round tables at once. Then I went and got our all of the table settings. And set up each table and waiting for the flowers. Since that is now the only thing that needs to be done left in here. Just the flowers. 

I went and made diner for everyone and got all of that done and set up. Once I was done with that I went and got all the tree lights. And put them all in the back yard and front yard lining up the drive way. After I was done with that I walked back inside the pack house to go clean up after everyone ate. 

I guess I wasn’t fast enough outside. As soon as I stepped into the dining room my parents were there waiting for me. I looked at the floor while I started to clear the dining room. Once I took all the dishes and put them in the sink. I felt one of them Punch me in my side. 

“Where have you been w***e!!!” My father yelled at me. 

I know better than to answer. Since they both new I wouldn’t answer to either of them. They both grabbed ahold of my arms and took me to the torture room down in the basement. My father hung me from the ceiling like normal while my mother went and picked out a silver knife. My shirt was ripped open. I knew the scars would never go away especially since it was silver. They will fade but will always still be there. My mother walked closer to me and I could feel her running the blade lightly over my skin then she got to my stomach with the knife. I knew she was smiling I could hear my father laughing at me. I didn’t know what she was going to do. I felt a sharp stabbing pain right above my right hip bone. I can feel her craving into my skin. Once she was finished I could feel the whip hitting my back. My father also made sure the whip wrapped around my stomach making sure to leave more cuts into whatever my mother carved on me. When they were finally done whipping me and adding to all my scars then they let me down.

“Get upstairs and hurry up. Stop being so ungrateful of what we have given you.” 

After my mother said that I limped upstairs. I went and bandaged everything that they did this time. I looked at what she carved into my stomach and nearly threw up. She carved w***e into my stomach. I just stared at it. I couldn’t believe that they did that to me. 

This whole week I spent time getting everything set up and ready. Its two days before my birthday and I am laying in my bed thinking about what my wolf will look like and what her name will be. I fell asleep thinking about it. 

It’s now the day before my birthday. I did my usual plus I made sure to finish anything that needed to be done for the ceremony tomorrow. As I am putting the flowers in the vase that the Luna wanted I noticed that the flowers she chose where the Moon flowers. Those are special to our kind. The Goddess created them just for her children. Legend says if your special to the Goddess then they glow when you touch them. If someone else touches them they will stop glowing until that special person touches them again. As I am placing them all in the vases trying to be fast. I heard someone gasp from behind me. 

“Ava hunny have you seen these flowers?” It was Nina so I looked up at her while I was working on placing the last few in the last vase to finish the tables look. 

“What are you talking about Nina?” I look at her with a confused look on my face. I looked at the flowers and noticed they are all glowing bright like the moon. I gasped. “It can’t be. How are they glowing like the moon Nina?” Just as I said this more pack members walked in and saw it. They all just stood there. When Nina went to touch once it stopped glowing. I couldn’t believe my eyes let alone that the legend is true. I am just staring at it. The Alpha and Luna come into the room. I bow my head to them and don’t say anything. As different pack members come to touch the flowers they stop glowing. My parents have walked in at this point.

“Alpha who made them glow?” My father says.

“I don’t know. WHO TOUCHED THE FLOWERS AND MADE THEM GLOW?!?!?!” He yelled the last part in his Alpha tone. 

“Alpha I believe it was Ava, she was the only one in here when I came in to see if she was done yet. When I touched one it stopped glowing.” Nina said with her head bowed. Her mate had come in to see what was going on. All the pack was here now. At least everyone that lived in the pack house. 

“SHE HAS TO BE LIEING ALPHA” my mother yelled at Nina. 

I don’t like when they yell at people. I touched the Moon flower I was next to and it was glowing just like the moon on a full night. Everyone gasped when it did glow. I don’t know what this means, but the next thing I know my parents are walking up to me and my father hit me so hard I flew to the ground. The Alpha and Luna were just standing shocked that I made the flowers glow. 

“YOUR JUST A LIEING w***e!!! YOUR NOTHING SPECIAL TO THE GODDESS.” My mother yelled at me. 

They started hitting and kicking me. And I didn’t care anymore I screamed at the top of my lungs. I couldn’t take this much longer. I am laying on the ground of the ballroom being beaten by both of my parents while everyone watches them. When they grew tired of it, I looked them straight in the eye. 

“Look what you did!!!” They had splattered blood all over the tables, the floor, the stage and even some of the moon flowers. “You are messing up the ball room for the Alpha ceremony.” I was getting angry. I will never be able to get this cleaned in time. How am I going to fix all this? “You could have taken the beating someone where else as not to ruin any of this. Blood doesn’t come out of white.”

Everyone was so taken back by me even speaking let alone talking back. My father grabbed my hair and threw mw across the room. I hit the wall and it left a dent in it. As I got up from the floor I could see Nina looking at me. She started to move closer to me to help me when everyone left. I shook my head no to her. I watched as my father started walking to me again. 

“YOU WILL FIX ALL OF THIS RIGHT NOW AND IT WILL BE AS GOOD AS NEW OR YOUR DEAD DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!!!” He yelled at me in his Beta tone. But what no one realizes is that it doesn’t work on me. I am beta blood. He can’t use it on me. I am stronger than him. I will always be strong. Nothing will change my past but my feature can change. I didn’t say anything as he punched me square in the face and broke my nose. I still kept quiet. As everyone was watching my father beat me and my mother laughing at me. I noticed most held pity in their eyes. It looked like a lot of them regretted what they did to me or what I was going through. As of now I knew I would need to work all night on fixing this place. 

“Are you done so I can get to back to work now Beta.” I said the word Beta out like it was venom. I watched him walk away. 

Nina started to walk up to me but I looked at her and shook my head. The flowers that had blood on them I went to those first and cleaned them. Grabbed all the table cloths that had blood on them and soaked them in bleach. 

“Nina can you see if someone can go get more white table cloths. I know the blood won’t come out of this that fast.” 

“Of course, hun, are you okay.” She looked at me worried.

“I am fine Nina just really pissed. He could have done that anywhere. Now everything is messed up.”  I told her. 

It took me 8 more hours to do fix everything. I chose to put two big pictures of the Alpha’s family along with the Beta’s family to cover the whole in the wall.  After I finally finished everything I went to my room and laid down and went to sleep. I guess one good thing about besides shifting and possibly finding my mate. All I have to do is clean no cooking. That is for the professional chef’s coming and the waitresses and stuff to do all of that but everything is clean and ready to go since I had to clean the ball room I went ahead and did the rest of the house. So, I just went to sleep. Knowing that things will get better.
