DAMIAN'S POV
CHAPTER 1
DAMIAN’S POV
I stared at her as her lips moved rhythmically. I am in love with this girl, everything about her just sets my whole world on fire.
Her plump lips moving made me want to have her right there. Everything about her was admiring and beautiful, I couldn’t get my eyes off her.
Her round eyes just made her look more sexier!
“Are you okay?” she asked while snapping her fingers. How could I be okay when she was around? Her love was intoxicating, I couldn’t deny that.
“You zoned out,” she said, feigning anger.
She made an angry pout which put a smile on my face, only if she knew how sexy she looked doing that.
“Your sight alone is making me crazy,” I muttered with a cheeky smile.
She tried to hide her blush but I had caught it before then.
I dragged her towards my body and we made a body contact, despite her trying to wiggle out of my embrace I held her still.
“You are such a pervert!” Rebecca said with a tiny push.
Her hands gave her away as she finally settled comfortably, humming in satisfaction.
“You can't blame me,” I retorted, shrugging my arms.
We were in my college room, all cuddled up while watching a movie. I wanted to spend every day with her but unfortunately, we were finishing our college year this Saturday.
I had only two days to spend with her, for some reason my parents had chosen a bride for me. Which of course, wasn't Rebecca.
“What are your thoughts all about?” she asked with a pout.
She was very inquisitive and observant.
Not wanting her to be worried, I decided to lie.
“There is nothing,” I replied with a deep sigh.
She glared at me before sitting up and holding my face roughly.
“I am not a baby, I know something is wrong. Start speaking now!” she commanded playfully.
This was exactly what I was talking about, she knew everything about me and it was Vice Versa. It was safe to say we are each other’s backbone.
She was quick to notice my change of mood and was always there to cheer me up. Her love felt genuine to me and I couldn't think of losing her.
Her smile, her speech, her behavior, and so many other things attract me to her. It was safe to say I was marveled by all her features.
I had to get married to her, it was insane for me to get married to someone I don't care about. I couldn't do something as despicable as that, I had the person I love and my parents should accept that.
“The thought of leaving you brings a shiver to my spine. My parents don't approve of our relationship, you know that?” I asked with concern.
Staring at her to notice her expression, she had a blank face. “Speak to me,” I said with a worried tone.
“What else should I say? I love you so much, I don’t even want to think about leaving you!” Rebecca uttered. Her emotions were visible to me and I couldn’t deny the love that was present on her face.
“Can we just get married?” I asked playfully. She immediately stood up and looked at me.
“That is it! We should get married tomorrow!” Rebecca said.
Looking puzzled, I didn't expect her to take it seriously. It wasn't a bad idea though, my parents would have no choice but to accept Rebecca after we got married.
We agreed and the next day, we got dressed with a friend following us and we became married.
I knew I was making the right decision, Rebecca was the one for me. She loved me and would show it anywhere and anytime. She wasn't the wayward or lousy one, throughout our college years she hadn't been involved in any dirty drama of sorts.
I loved her and her personality and I had come to the decision that I wasn't making a mistake.
“Wifey!” I called out while stepping into the kitchen. Tomorrow was our convocation and I was happy about it. Basically, I was going to be meeting with her parents and talking about things with them.
“Are we already claiming the title?” she asked jokingly while stretching over her neck.
“Did you just call this title?” I asked her, feigning annoyance. I noticed how her expression changed from a playful one to a sorry one.
“I will never say such, I was just joking,” she uttered in a pleading tone. I enjoyed seeing her like this but I couldn't hold on any longer. I burst into a fit of laughter while she looked at me with confusion.
“You need to see your face! I was just joking.” I said and she immediately grabbed a spatula and ran after me.
We ran around the house in laughter before I finally allowed her to catch up with me.
“Don't play such games with me anymore!” She warned and I immediately nodded my head in affirmation before placing a kiss on her lips.
“It still sounds strange though,” Rebecca said after a long silence. “The fact that we are married,” she added.
Of course, it was. It was unplanned and not as I or my parents had envisioned. Because of my family background, it was always said that my wedding was going to be grand.
Damian Alfredo, the richest bachelor in the city but only a few knew of my name. I was considered breathtakingly ladies and had received countless confession letters from ladies. For reasons best known to my parents, they had hidden my identity perfectly and I was barely known for my riches.
Rebecca wasn’t even spared, I needed someone to love me genuinely for who I was and not because of my wealth. I never approached her as a wealthy person and she also didn't say that was her criteria for a relationship. All I had told her was that my parents weren’t in support of our relationship because of a promise to my supposed wife's family.
She was still willing to get married to me despite knowing all these facts and that alone made me fall in love with her.
I had to find a way to convince my parent about her, she deserved more than this treatment I was giving her. Rebecca was everything to me and I was willing to risk it all for her.
“It isn’t strange that we are married, just not expected to be this sudden,” I murmured.
“I will forever cherish this day,” she said before embracing me in a tight hug.
We headed to the kitchen and continued our preparation of the meal. We were so excited and talked about a lot of things.
We also got ready for our mini-party after the convocation. We wanted to host a party with family and friends and to also announce our relationship to them.
“I don’t think we should tell our parents about this,”
I said after ending a call.
“What happened? Who did you just finish speaking to?” Rebecca asked inquisitively but I couldn’t respond.
I couldn’t tell her no matter how I tried.
