Dylan’s POV
Fuck!!
Why did I do that again?
I haven’t been able to focus during the last class of the day, all I kept and still thinking about is how Abby feels about all this. She is a nice girl and does not deserve me to treat her the way I am treating her. By the end of this week, she would have completely stopped talking to me if I am not careful.
“Okay class, this is all I had prepared for today, tomorrow we shall try a few equations make sure you all bring your calculators tomorrow.” The math teacher says just as the bell rings indicating that the day is over.
Everyone starts packing their things and leaving the class as soon as the teacher leaves. I turn to focus on the one person I really want to talk to. She is busy having a conversation with Emma. I am glad she has been able to make friends quickly. Emma and Liv are both nice girls to be friends with.
I pack my things as well then get up to leave the class. Just as I make it to the door, I see Abby and Emma approaching the door as well. I quicken my steps and leave as fast as possible heading to my locker to grab my things then head to the car.
“Dylan hold up!” I hear Jay call my name out just after closing my locker.
I turn around and see him fast approaching from his class.
“Why are you in such a hurry, are you avoiding someone?” he asks once he is closer.
“You could say that.” I turn around and proceed to walk towards the main exit.
“Please don’t tell me it’s not Abby again.”
Well, what can I say?
“Where is Andy?” I ask changing the subject immediately.
“He will find us by your car.” He quickly responds. “I got a call from my mechanic, could we pass through the garage I collect my ride?”
“Sure, its finally done ey?”
“Yep. At least you won’t have to drive all the way to pick and drop us off now.” He says. Thank heavens he naturally follows the conversation.
“And Andy’s car?” I ask.
After closing the last term, they thought it would be a bright idea to join a racing competition with a few of the guys from school. Fortunately for me, I don’t drive a sports car as they do so I didn’t participate in the race and that is how my ride survived.
They both got into a mini accident towards the finish line. The guy right behind Andy lost control of his car and then hit Andy who then hit into Jay. Jay was just crossing the finish line with Andy on his tail. The damage was bad but lucky them, they had the prize money from coming in first and second place.
So during the holiday, I had to drive them around a lot and I am glad all that is over now. Maybe now I can ride to school with Abby.
“Andy’s car will be ready over the weekend. They were waiting for a few more parts for his car which should be in towards the end of the week.” Jay explains.
We get outside the school building and walk towards my jeep where we wait for Andy to show up. I unlock the car and then toss my backpack in the back before I lean on the hood of the car. Jay does the same thing and then joins me.
“So how do you plan on getting Abby to be your girlfriend?” Jay asks out of the blue. I thought we moved on from this conversation.
If I don’t respond he will keep pestering me.
“I have no idea.”
This is something I haven’t really thought about. I want to ask Abby out but first I need to improve our relationship. I can’t keep ignoring her at school.
“Hey, captain.” I hear a female voice.
I look up ahead and see three girls I recognize from the cheering squad. There are seniors, from my class. Stacy is the second-best cheerleader from Emma.
Stacy was a nice girl before, but her envy to be the best ruined her reputation and surprisingly Cassie and Britney still follow her around since they walked through the Middleton high school doors two years ago.
“What do you want Stacy?” Jay hisses at her.
She just flips her hair over her shoulder. Both Britney and Cassie move closer to Jay.
“Hey, handsome.” They both flirt with him.
“Stacy,” I say her name through greeted teeth.
“Be nice Dylan. I am prettier than she is, got a body ten times hotter than hers and I can surely rock your bed better.” She whispers in my ear.
Right at the moment she is whispering in my ear with her hand on my chest and her fingers touching my skin through the unbuttoned buttons, Abby walks a few feet from where we are standing.
I push her away from me because I feel disgusted being close to her. I have never felt this much filth in my life. Taking in her scent and letting her touch me makes me feel disgusted. I surely bet the sight of Stacy touching me did not look good in Abby’s eyes.
“Ahh.” I hear her say as she stumbles back.
Shit!!
How much more will I have to deal with this?

Abby’s POV
His attitude is so upsetting. I don’t see why he didn’t just tell me he was dating someone instead of ignoring me at school and pretending like he actually wants to be friends with me when we are at home. Or is he just doing it because our parents need to think we are getting along?
Whatever it is I don’t care. If he wants us to pretend then I will do the same thing even though it isn’t my style.
“Hey honey, how was school?” mom asks when I get into the front seat.
“Hi, mom.” I put on a fake smile.
“School was alright and your day?” I ask as I strap in.
Mom and I go on chatting as we drive home. The boys usually are bickering about their day while mom and I make small talk all the way until we get home.
“Let me freshen up then come help you with dinner,” I tell mom as I go up the stairs to my room.
“No worries honey, all I need help with is a salad, everything else is ready.” She says.
“Alright, then I will see you soon.” I say then leave the kitchen heading straight to my room.
I open the door and then toss my backpack on the chair at my study table. I am exhausted, I just need to take a shower, have dinner then have an early night.
I look at my window, I walk over to close it and at the very moment, before I close it, I see Dylan looking out his window looking at me. Anger spreads through me, an anger I have never felt before. Why would he pretend to not know who I am while at school and yet every night he wants to crawl through my window?
I shut it closed, locking it immediately and drew the curtains.
If he doesn’t want to be my friend at school then he shouldn’t be my friend at home either!!
