Show you around

Abby’s POV “…………. you should come over and check my room out. You might like it there.” He suggests then smirks. I should what? Lord, I have never been in a boys room apart from the twin’s room. I can feel my cheeks turning red. Why now? Okay I need to say something before he thinks otherwise. “It’s alright, if you say you don’t have a bed then its alright. No need for me to see your room.” I say then bite my bottom lip. “I still want you to see my room.” He says with a smirk. What is this boy getting at? He is now making me feel things I have never felt before. Why am I feeling so uncomfortable being in the same room with him and why is he being so comfortable around me. “It’s alright.” I move towards the bed and grab my novel from there then move to my desk. I spin the chair around then sit on it facing him with my novel in my hands. “You not joining me? He asks while slightly sitting up balancing on his elbows. I nod my head, “I will stay here, you can have the bed.” He chuckles. “Am I making you uncomfortable?” My cheeks turn even more red now. “Ahh no …….uhm I am fine over here.” I try to sound convincing and yet I am so uncomfortable and scared of what might happen if I do sit on the bed with him. Dylan gets off the bed and moves towards. Wait what is he doing now? Oh lord no, make him get back on the bed or even better leave my room right now. He stops in front of me then sits on the floor. His hands find mine and the moment our hands touch I get all warm around me. My blood is rushing all over my body. Butterflies in my stomach and my legs feel all spaghetti. “Are you okay?” one of his hands comes up to feel my forehead. “Are you having a fever?” he tilts his head to one side and stares straight into my eyes. “I am okay.” I push his hand away then get off the chair. We both stand to our feet at the same time. I look down at our hands. One of his hands is still holding on to my arm which has the novel in my hand. My heart is beating so fast I bet he can feel my pulse from my wrist. “I need to use the bathroom.” Is the best I can come up with. He lets go of my arms and I rush to the bathroom after tossing the novel on the bed. I close the door behind me then sink to the floor. What is this boy doing to me? I move to the sink and splash some cold water on my face. ************ Dylan’s POV The bathroom door opens then Abby steps out with her hair tied back in a messy ban which is wasn’t before. Her face also looks like she washed it. She must be tired and wants to get some rest, I better leave now. “Hey what are you doing tomorrow?” I ask. “Uhm…. Nothing. What’s up?” “I want to show you around if you are up for it?” I respond. “Oh that would be nice.” She gives me a small smile. “Cool, don’t over sleep I will be here at 08am.” She chuckles, “Sure.” “Goodnight.” “Goodnight.” She says before I leave through the same way I came in. Abby really is amazing and I have a feeling we are going to be amazing friends. I open the front door and find my mom and dad dancing in the middle of the living room. I wonder what has gotten them this happy to be dancing without any music. “Son there you are.” Dad calls out when he spots me ascending the stairs. “Hey pops.” I stop mid way through. “What do you think of the Fishers?” mom asks with a huge smile. I knew mom liked them the moment we went over this morning to give Mrs. Fisher the fruit basket. “I think they are alright.” I say. “Me too, they will definitely be great neighbors.” She says. “I think so too. Son be nice to their daughter.” Dad says. “Yeah, she is prettier and well behaved compared to your last girlfriend.” Says mom. Oh lord. I think this is my cue to leave. “I hear you. Goodnight.” I say then immediately proceed to my room, the longer I stall the more they will say and start advising me to spend all my time with Abby. I walk into my room and the first thing I see is Abby. My lights are off, the moment I turn them on she will notice so I keep them off and move closer to the window. This girl is absolutely beautiful. I think to myself as I watch her move around her room preparing for bed. Soon her lights go off. I should get some sleep too, I have promised to show her around tomorrow. ********** Today looks like it shall be an amazing day. The sun is out, skies are clear and the temperature is cool. I jump out of bed and get into the shower. Ever since Sara went to college, I moved into her room which has a bathroom attached to it. I bet if I had not switched room, I would not be able to see Abby through my window. Within ten minutes I am done with my shower, brushed my teeth and changed into some clothes. A white t-shirt, black slim fit jeans with black converse. I spray some cologne after grabbing my phone from the night stand then leave my room. I hope Abby is up, her curtains are still closed. “Good morning mom.” I give her a kiss on the cheek. “How are you so up early?” she says in agony. She has a hangover. “How much wine did you drink?” I ask when I see her trying to finish a tall glass of lemon water. “Enough to make me miss work.” She responds. “Dad too?” “Noooooo he couldn’t come up with an excuse so he has just left.” “Too bad for him. Do you want me to make you something to eat before I leave?” I ask. “No baby it’s alright. I won’t even manage to keep it down. Where are you off too?” she asks. “I told Abby I would show her around town.” I give her a small smile. Her reaction is something I least expected. “Awwww you like her don’t you?” she asks with a wide grin. “Mom, I will see you later.” I say then start heading for the door. “Just don’t break her heart please.” I hear mom shout. I hope I don’t. I make my way to their front door and knock once before it swings open revealing beautiful Mrs. Fisher. “Good morning, ma’am.” I politely greet her. “Good morning, Dylan.” She speaks while holding her head. “Are you suffering from the same headache as my mother?” “I bet we are.” She chuckles lows. “So how may I help you this morning?” “Is Abby up? I planned to take her round town to get to know a few places.” I say hoping she doesn’t chase me away. She stares at me for a few seconds the nods. “She should be down any……..” “Hey mom is that Dyaln?” I hear Abby’s beautiful voice from inside the house. “And there she is.” Her mom responds then moves aside and shortly Abby appears in the door way with a bright smile. “Good morning.” Wow, just wow. Abby is wearing a short-flayed baby blue dress that matches her eyes. Her hair is pulled back by a white head band or something. On her feet are black pumps. She looks absolutely beautiful. “Good morning, Abby.” I return her smile. “Ready?” She nods her head. “Take good care of her okay.” Her mom says before we leave. “Sure, I will.” I say to her before she closes the door behind me. “Where are we going first?” she asks as we walk down the porch. “Are you hungry?” I ask. “Yep, I spiked breakfast thinking I would be late.” She responds. “Then breakfast shall be the first thing we get to do.” I hold her wrist in mine and pull her towards my car which is parked in our drive way. ************ Abby’s POV The whole time before bed and when I got up this morning, I kept wondering what Dylan and I would be doing today hoping it wouldn’t as awkward as last night in my room. I was worried for nothing. Dylan knocked on our door at exactly 08am as promised. Mom answered the door while I did my final touches. I told her about my day out and she was glad to hear I was stepping out of the house and making new friends. Dylan opened the door for me to get into his car and out. I must say I am jealous that his parents got him a black 2013 Jeep Wranglar unlimited sport utility 4 door. Dad secretly promised to get me a car for my 18th birthday, I hope that comes to pass and mom doesn’t convince him otherwise. After a 10 minutes’ drive through the neighborhood, we arrive at a diner. Something I least expected. I was expecting us to grab a bite from a food cart or something. “After you.” He says while holding the door out for me. “Thank you.” I say then step into the diner. The atmosphere changes the moment I step in. It smells nice in here I swear I could stay here forever. You can smell the freshly brewed coffee, the freshly baked bread and the muffins that have just been taken out of the oven. I definitely haven’t missed the beautiful aroma of beacon and eggs. Yem. “From the smile on your face I am assuming you like the place.” I hear Dylan say next to me. “Of course, it smells heavenly in here.” “Great, let us grab a table then.” He says then leads us to a table by the window. “Good morning my darlings, what may I serve you?” the elderly lady politely asks us as soon as we settle in our seats. “Want to go first?” Dylan asks. I nod my head. “I am not sure what to get. So many options. I say while scanning the menu. “Maybe you pick for the both of us.” “You sure?” he asks. “Yep, I am not allergic to anything.” “Perfect. Ms. Grace we shall both have full English breakfast with a slice of the cheese cake and chocolate fudge, two coffees and some water.” He gives the nice lady our order. That was quit an order. “Perfect, do you want the coffee now of with the food?” she asks. “With the food, we can the water now though.” He responds. “Coming right up.” She excuses herself then leaves. “Are you sure we are going to finish all that?” I ask in shock. “Yes we must, we have a long day ahead of us.” He says with a smile. “Boy what are you up too?” I ask with a raised eyebrow. He bursts out laughing. Oh wow, his laughter is music to my ears.
