Chapter 9- More time

"Ok! so you mean to tell me that he gave you the contract right".

"Does it explain anything? Or why you have to be his wife? But for how long "?

"Well I don't know the reason, but I do know that it's at least 6 years of marriage"?.

"6 YEARS, are you serious"? you are going to be marrying a person you don't know for 6 years.

"Technically I never agree to it yet, so you can't say I am". and yes it said 6 ( freaking ) long years on it, I don't know what else is there I was too shocked to pay close attention to the contract. Out of all the women's out there he just had to pick me 'huh'.

"Well when are you supposed to sign it An-li"?

"I was supposed to sign it today when he handed it over to me", I freaked out so I ask him if I can have more time to think. He gave me tonight and tomorrow afternoon, when my shift is over what in the world am I supposed to do.

"Damn,! then what's your answer to him then"?

"Obviously it's no". I'm not ready for marriage yet and I haven't accomplished what I wanted to do. I still do have those nightmare's back then. I'm not comfortable giving myself to any men out there.

"Do you think he'll make you sign it An-li"?

"Not sure at this point", even if he offer to pay me money to sign this marriage contract, my answer will still be ‘NO'. When I go in tomorrow I should take a look at the contract just to make sure he doesn't add anything like that on it.

Ling ling is checking her phone and it's almost 10pm. Listening to her friend losing her mind she wish that she could help. An-li look at Ling ling to see what she looking at and saw her checking the time on her phone. She grabbed her phone to look at the time also, “s**t"she jumped up and scared the living life out of Ling ling.

"The hell An-li what was that about, you scared me"!

"Sorry, it's this late already". I still have more documents that I need to sort out tomorrow. It totally slipped out of my head. Why don't you stay for the night Ling ling it's not safe to be out.

"It's fine" I really need to go back home An-li I got work tomorrow.

"No it's not fine at all listen to me and stay for the night you can leave early in the morning".

"Ok ok". let's go to bed I'm tired we'll just have to wait and see how things turned out tomorrow.

"Let's go you can sleep on my bed with me"?

"Are you sure it will fit the two of us on your bed An-li"?! isn't your bed a twin.

"I'm sure we will fit and besides, I threw that bed away, and bought a new bed it's a queen"! it's a change for once I wanna roll around the bed.

"Hahaha"?! Ling ling is laughing because of what An-li said.

"Hahahaha, laughing with her friend Ling ling what's so funny'?!

"That you wanna roll around the bed" hahahaha. It's like you wanna be a little girl again

"An-li shrug her shoulder, hey! it's something I always wanted to do when I was a little girl. But let's go to bed now, the both of them head to An-li's room doing their night routine before heading to bed.

Ling ling POV:

I am in total shock when An-li told me that she had a contract she needs to sign but I didn't believe it. It just had to involve with marriage again. SIGH!... I don't know how to help her in this kind of situation. If only she could come back and work with me at my job then An-li wouldn't be dealing with this problem.

I hope that An-li makes the right decision and even if she makes the wrong choice I'll support her. Because she's been through a lot she has a secret that only me and another friend of ours know. She haven't told her parents about it yet, but if one day she does decide to tell I'll be there. She's been there for me also so I would like to return the favorite too.

An-li POV:

I woke up the next morning getting ready for work while Ling ling is still asleep. Came back out of the bathroom and saw Ling ling up .

"Hey"! finally up I see, why don't you go shower I'll give you some of my clothes to wear. I'm gonna go prepare breakfast for us then I'll head to work.

"Thanks An-li".

"No problem oh yeah there's a extra toothbrush and a towel in the bathroom it's on top of the sink already".

After parting ways An-li head to work, Ling ling also head to work telling An-li to think about her decision even if it's the right or wrong choice she'll be there for her. Thanking her friend for listening to her out break yesterday.

She came in early just to make the President coffee so he won't catch her. An-li doesn't want him to see her due to yesterday's crazy talk. Now walking to his office with quick steps she saw Xun Wu she ask.

"X-xun Wu, is the president here yet"?

Xun Wu turn to look at the person who called him, he walk up to An-li telling her.

"Ah Ms. An-li, you are in early"? oh! and yes the president is here already. Why do you ask?

"W-well. u-um.. i-i.... I was just wondering if he's here that's all". ( inside her head N-NOOOOOO!!!... why is he here already he ruined my plan ), the plan was to beat him so we won't see each other.

Xun Wu is looking at An-li like she wants to say something out loud but instead of that she only have her mouth open wide. He wants to laugh at her expression right now and he actually did.

"Hahaha, Ms. An-li your face it's so funny".

“It's not funny", with a pout on her face. “But can you help me with something"?

"Sure what is it"?

"Well um... I still have some documents to sort from yesterday, can you bring this coffee to the president". I wanted to finish those today so I can hand it over to him. ( Please say yes, Please ) An-li silently wish he said yes.

"Sure no problem stretching his hand out to grab it. Both heard a.

"It's not his job to make or hand me coffee it's your job An-li"?!

An-li and Xun Wu turn to look at who said that, to An-li it's a nightmare she wanted to avoid Chen Wu as much as she could and yet they met. When she look up at him, he gave An-li a hard stare. She got scared so she looked away from Chen Wu scary look.

"what is it that you need Xun Wu to hand me my coffee An-li"?!

"It's um... well....I forgot about the other half of the documents I left it on the shelf".

Looking at her watch she said "oh will you look at that it's time for me to go to work". Walking away from him on the other side just so he won't ask her about her decision, she quickly run but not like a full run just a little so she won't trip.

Making inside her office she can finally breathe. ( how is he here already, it's like he knows ) her mind again. Her office is like a medium size room just enough for two people but since it's just her it's not bad.

I forgot to mention that An-li's office is located down the hall on the left side 10 doors away from Chen Wu's office. The meeting room is around the other side. So imagine it's like the letter ( U ) so instead the bottom is round it's straight. Now back to the story ( ^ _ ^ )

Chen Wu POV:

I never thought it will be so hard for her to choose. I mean aren't all women's are like that, wanting to marry a rich man or should I say for money. Even all of my ex's are like that they just wanted money or sometimes they just wanted a one night with me asking for money.

My ex the one that left me to go be a fashion model, she wasn't like that when we dated. Right when she ask me she wanted to be my girlfriend.

Her friends in college was jealous of her because she dated me. All her friends told her that they envy her, cuz she captured my heart. Before we even dated I liked her too she has that tall fame.

She has a beauty that captured anyone. Later on she told me she has an offer oversea. I told her I'll be here waiting and I'll make time to visit her where she'll be modeling at. But she told me that she doesn't want to stay in a relationship where she don't know if she will still be interested in.

It broke my heart when she told me that, so that's why to this day I told myself that I'll never love or fall in love with anyone again. I'll spend one night with random women just cool my head from the stress of over working.

But now I stop doing that, due to having two more company's and working with other president's out there. This time I am planning to expand my company more to other cities. With the help of my childhood friend Chun yi and another friend we want to do a project that will increase our rating more to get profit.

As a billionaire heir to my dad company's I must expand it even more to stay the very top of everyone.

Now I'm in need of a wife says my parents like seriously, but I can use her to gain something I want. My parents called me yesterday asking me if I made a choice yet; i inform them that I have found someone already and that she hasn't made her choice.

And you know what they said! my parents said that they can't wait around anymore so they made a arranged marriage for me.

I told them to give me just two more days to convince her. And if it doesn't work I'll force it on her. That's why I am calling her.

"An-li come to my office, just come in"

"Y-yes sir"

without knocking like she usually do she went in.

"Y-you need something sir"?

"What I need is your answer and stop stuttering its annoying"

"Saw him being serious about it she say".....
