Chapter 19- Meet his parents/dinner pt. 2

( time skip )

I am getting ready to leave to get the things, what his father said. And maybe I'll also buy a bouquet; should I buy one color bouquet or should I get the multi color. The multi color will look nice on the dining table. I have to get ready also, I'll get Ling ling to help me pick out an outfit and light makeup not too much.

Dialing Ling ling phone number. Ring. Ring. “Hello".

“Ling ling, it's me An li how is it going with work when that happened".

“Yeah, my boss said that it was a mistake".

That's because that lunatic planned it ( in her mind ) “Good, did you call Mei and ask if she's ok over there too".

“I haven't called her yet, but once I get off I will".

"Can you meet me at my apartment, I'll explain everything and we can call Mei too".

“Sure".

Inside her apartment An li got the sweet red wine and tiramisu, flowers put it in a gift bag the flowers wouldn't fit so she left it out. Looking inside her closet for something to wear. Not sure which outfit she want to wear ( probably not formal clothes maybe a dress, I haven't put on a dress in a long time now ) I don't know what to do.

Ding...Dong...

Running downstairs to open the door, but before she opened it she look at the peek hole. And definitely it's Ling ling.

“Finally! you are here can you help me find an outfit for tonight".

“An outfit? why where are you going?"

“Lets tell Mei too so she know".

“Ok!".

Opening her laptop she video call Mei. Just waiting on their friend to pick up. ( maybe she's busy ) An li was going to hang up, but Mei picked up right away.

“Hello! An li, what's up".

“How did everything go when that day happen".

“Well, I heard that it was a mistake".

“Really that's good to hear". ( mistake my as* that freaking ugh... anyway I got to let them know now )

“So An li what is it that you had us here, well actually I'm not there but why did you call".

“Here goes nothing". She explained everything how she got forced to sign the contract, to how he had find a way to give her a reason to sign it, how her family and the both of them got put on that situation. To why she only married him for one reason only. Then to now where she have to meet his parents and have dinner with them.

Both. “Wow".

Ling ling ask: “Then what about your apartment".

“Well, you guys can guess about that".

Mei: “Let me guess, he wouldn't let you stay right".

“Right. He said I can't stay at my apartment anymore because I'll be his wife".

Both: “Damn you just moved there too".

“I know. Anyway you guys have to help me look for a dress or something".

Ling ling: “We can but, An li why do you smell like men's shampoo/body wash soap".

“Oh snap! I totally forgot, that's why I have gotten weird looks at work".

“What? what is it".

“Well, the thing is.... how do put it in words".

“An li, explain what did you do".

“Well, it happened yesterday inside his office and well..... let's just say that he had experienced one of my episodes".

Both: “W-what do you mean experience one of them. What happened?".

Didn't want to hide what happened, An li told them the reason why she smell like that. Looking at their faces both of her friends gave her an unbelievable face. None of them spoke for awhile, until An li can't take it anymore.

“Guys, I know but you can't expect me not have one of the episodes. I didn't even know it was going to happen".

“Uh well, yeah cuz he did it he's the one that trigger your episode".

“Yeah! just what Ling ling said".

Checking the time on her phone. And out of nowhere she scream. Scaring the both of them.

“OH MY GOD, I got to get ready".

Both: "Geez An li, why do you always do that".

“Sorry! have to get ready before he comes here".

“But I think you might want to take a quick shower".

“I know, a 30 minute shower for sure". ( Heading into the shower quickly )

30 minute pass An li came back out with a bath robe on and a towel on top of her head. Thinking to herself if she should braid her hair or leave it down.

“Should I braid my hair or leave it".

Ling ling: “I say leave it down, it would look nice with the dress we picked out".

“Ok! maybe a little makeup will do too".

“I'll help you with that, go put your dress on".

Nod, opening the bathroom putting on her dress, then went to the bathroom mirror door she grab her perfume sprayed a little on her not too much. Went to check herself on the full length mirror in her bedroom, thinking everything looks ok she thought maybe matching it with her 2 inch heels.

“What do you guys think? Do I look, ok?"

Both: “You look good now it's time for your makeup".

“Maybe just light make-up".

Finishing up with her makeup from the help of her her friend Ling ling and Mei's help picking a dress. Both of her friends are in shock for the first time ever again.

Both: “You look beautiful An li".

With a small smile. “Thanks to the both of you, I haven't been in a dress in long time".

Mei: “An li, you said that he's coming to pick you up. But he doesn't know where you live“.

“I wrote it down on a piece of paper this morning, and gave it to him". ( actually, I didn't give it to him I left it on his desk before I left his office )

Flashback:

Heading to work after their breakfast, An li turn to look at him while he's driving, she ask him.

“You said you are going to pick me up, but you don't even know where I live".

Not paying any attention to An li, Chen Wu only focused on driving and the street. Which made An li speak a little more loudly to him.

“CHEN WU, are you even listening to me". ( Fine, don't even think about talking to me then )

“ You know you don't have to speak so loud, I can hear you".

Instead of answering him too she chose to ignore him also, looking out the window. Like the city is better then listening to him talking to her.

( Maybe I'll just write it down and put it on his desk once i leave work. Yeah, I'll just do that )

“An li, do you hear us". ( ling ling walk to An li and shake her )

“I think he's here".

“What?.Huh, did you say something Ling ling”.

“I said, that he might be here”.

“R-really... holy crap I am not ready for this".

RING..ring..ring...

An li quickly grab her cellphone and answered it.

“H-hello". ( silently swallowing her nerves down )

“Are you ready to go, or do you need a few more minutes".

“I-i'm ready". ( breathe in breathe out )

“Then come out, we don't have all day".

“O-ok".

“An li, what did I say about stuttering".

“S-sorry". ( oh s**t, quickly hang up before he say something else )

Turning to look at her friends, while patting her chest because it's beating too fast. Giving them a look that say she doesn't want to go.

“An li, I think you should get going if you don't want him to burst through the door. And how the hell did you got his phone number."

“Just what Ling ling say. An li get going just let us know what happened".

“Sigh, well it probably happened when I was at his house. He probably added it in when I was asleep. And I know but why me out all the women out there. Just why me all of a sudden". ( Close to having her tears coming out ).

With her friends by side they feel sad for their friend who is going through this. But they have to stay strong for her. Ling ling who is there couldn't bare it, went to hug her friend saying that she'll get through this. That the both of them will be there for her, if she ever need them.

“An li, everything will okay. Just take it slow and no matter hard your life gets the both of us will be here to support you and if ever us you know where to find us".

“I agree with what Ling ling say. And even if I am not there to help you. I'll help no matter what can even if I am over here".

“Thank you, you both have been helping me all this time when I couldn't help you guys when you guys are in need of help too".

“I wish I could be there to give you a hug, Ling ling would you mind giving her a hug for me".

“Sure".

Ring...Ring...Ring....

Breaking their hug she look at her cellphone and it's him that is calling again. Gulping she pick up the call before he goes into rage.

“H-hello".

“What apartment number?"

“W-what".

“What apartment number are you in".

( Holy s**t, I am in deep trouble now looking at the time it's almost time ) “I..u-um...i-I'm coming down now bye".

Grabbing everything and making sure she got everything. Looking herself in the mirror before she leaves. Glancing at her friends one more time she went to hug her friend and said.

“Thank you, so much you both had help with today".

“No problem, try to at least have fun".

“Thanks, Mei and thanks Ling ling".

“No problem at all An li, it was fun".

“I will, got to get going before he calls again. I don't want to experience his wrath bye".

Waving to her friends, and heading out the door. She text to Ling ling telling her to stay for the night because it's late. And she can talk to mei if she's bored. Pressing send, while walking she thinking to herself.

( I just hope that they don't ask personal questions about me. I haven't prepared myself yet and here I am already getting ready to meet his parents. I never thought it would be this quick, and soon he would have to meet my parents too. )
