Abbie laid in bed with Josh on her mind. James made his brother look like a bad guy, but he sure as hell didn't seem it.
James always told her how he would always try to steal his other girlfriends which usually worked like a charm. She hated to admit it, but she may or may not be another one on his list.
Hell, the s*x would probably be better with Josh. James only wanted to have s*x twice. In three months! She had too high of a s*x drive to want that.
Especially considering the fact that he works with a hockey team? He probably had a sexy body.
"Something on your mind?"
Abbie's train of thought was broken when she heard James's voice. "W-what?"
"You haven't said anything to me."
"Not at all."
"Bullshit. What's going on?"
"Nothing, James."
"Is it Josh?"
"What?"
"Come on. You were staring at him all night long. It couldn't be more obvious."
"I..."
"Don't fall for his s**t, Abbie. He's a player. All he cares about is himself."
"Why would you say that?"
"He hasn't even bothered to come home."
"He said they've been out of town."
"For the last three years? I don't think so. He didn't show up to dad's funeral. He said he was "too busy" to come."
"James, I'm sure that wasn't his intention."
"Whatever, Abbie. Believe what you want. But all I can say is don't fall for his s**t. Hell, he's a scum bag. Why would you want someone like that?"
"He doesn't seem like one."
"Well, he is. So get your f*****g mind off of him."
Irritated, Abbie turned her back towards James and tried to fall asleep. "I love you, Abbie. Don't ever leave me."
"Goodnight, James."
Around 3:30, she quietly got out of bed to get a drink without waking James.
Just as she grabbed the bottle of water and untwisted the cap, she heard a voice. "What are you doing up?"
Startled, she dropped the bottle, spilling water on the floor. "Josh?" He stood behind her wearing only boxers, exposing his bare chest. Holy fuck... I'd give anything to slide my hands down his chest.
"Can't sleep?"
"I was thirsty."
Abbie went to one of the drawers and grabbed a towel. "Here. Let me help."
"Not necessary."
She felt Josh staring at her while she was on her hands and knees wiping the water off of the floor.
"You look good."
"What?"
"On your hands and knees. You should do that more often."
Abbie shook her head and threw the water bottle in the recycling bin, not realizing that Josh's hands were wrapped around her waist.
"Josh, w-what are you doing? I..."
The feeling of his lips gently pressed against her neck immediately shut her up. "Shh..."
She felt his erection pressed up against her hips and she did everything in her power to not want to get on her knees and pleasure him. "Josh..."
"You know you want to kiss me." He whispered in her ear.
"I..."
"Just admit it."
He was right. She did. "Y-yes, but..."
Before she could argue, he spun her around, pressed her back up against the counter and kissed her. She should've pushed him away, but she didn't. She found herself inviting his tongue in her mouth.
He pulled away and smirked. "That's all you get tonight. Just wait until next time."
"What?"
"Goodnight Abbie."
Josh left her in the kitchen, feeling pure shock. What the hell did I just do?
