It was the second day of their honeymoon on the private island that Xavier owned, they both were done with their morning routine followed by a steamy make out session that had started right after he woke her up with sloppy kisses all over face.
Last night when they came back from the garden after their walk and stargazing that ended up being quite emotional as both of them remembered their late mothers. It was the only common thing between Tiara and Xavier that they both had lost their mother at an early age to the accident that too together.
They shared the same pain of losing a parent along with losing a mother-like figure on the very same day. Their mother’s death took a toll on both of them, she distanced herself from everyone and cried her heart out in grief while on the other hand Xavier was devastated, his mother was the first woman he had loved and her death left him broken and his situation worsen when his father who was deeply in love with his wife locked himself away in his bedroom. He did not even get to share his pain and despair with his father, it was the time when that fifteen year old boy needed his other parents the most but his father was not there for him, he was too drawn in his own grief and sorrow to look after his son.
When he needed to mourn for his mother, needed his father’s embrace but got the responsibility of their illegal work instead on his shoulder making him to let go of his innocence completely but ever since his father announced his engagement with Tiara, he felt like he had gain everything he had lost in the conspiracy of life. He saw the parts of his that he was forced to let go in her eyes, he saw the innocence he needed in his life to stay human. He found his broken pieces in her and he started to love her even more.
They had spent the passionate night yet again, Xavier had not intended to start anything as he thought she was tired and needed a good rest but she had other intentions, she was the one who pounced on him as soon as they returned to their bedroom. She was the one who had yet again taken the initiative to get physical with him and he lost the battle when she whispered those enticing words in his ears, “I need you.” The seductiveness she had used to lure him worked like magic and he failed to say no to her and they ended up making love on the first night of their honeymoon that was also the second night of their marriage and they had consummated it every night like any other newly married couple.
Xavier had later understood when she fell asleep in his arms that she had just used him for s****l pleasure to subside the emotional pain she was feeling by remembering her mother but not that he minded. If anything, he was happy that she was really treating him like a husband and had come to him to ease her pain and with that thought in his mind he fell asleep hugging her tight.
Xavier could not help but stare at his beautiful wife who was wearing a white laced wrapped up dress that covered her till her mid thighs, the fabric of her dress was slightly see through with a deep v neckline that showed a good amount of her breasts, her long blonde hair were loose and she wore a big light brown hat made up of fine jute braids with light brown slippers.
“you are looking gorgeous, Tiara.” He complimented in his raspy voice, looking at her with admiration and love in his eyes.
“thank you, and um, you are looking handsome too.” She said to him, looking up at him for a millisecond and then looking down again, she was not lying, he actually looked good with that sheer loose white shirt he was wearing that had three of it’s button undone, sleeves were rolled up and the brown trunks he was wearing with some sleepers.
“really?” he asked because it was the first time she had ever complimented him on his looks, it was not like he did not know how handsome he was but hearing her say that did feel good as it clearly meant that she had started looking at him in a way she had never done before.
She nodded her head and hummed in response and Xavier came closer to her with a playful expression and held her chin delicately and lift it up a bit, “if that’s the case then why is my wife looking at the floor?” he teased with obvious mischief and she quickly tore her gaze away from the floor and looked up to meet his.
She bit her lower lip, feeling a wave of nervousness erupting inside her body and she failed to comprehend how to cover this situation and thought for a while remembering what she used to do back with Mason when he used to tease her to look natural and avoid any suspicion.
She did what she was good at and that was being shy and hugged him, burying her face in his chest to cover herself from his gaze, “I a-am shy.” He let out a dreamy chuckle at her response, they had been sleeping together for two nights straight and every time it was her who initiated first and she was feeling shy but needless to say he liked it, he knew she was shy and timid, had always been.
He rubbed her back up and down feeling the smooth skin of her back in that backless dress and laughed a little before pulling her away from his body and holding her hand, “let’s hit the beach, shall we?” Tiara nodded happily and they walked out hand in hand and walking for a couple of minutes they stood before the beautiful beach.
She saw the vast ocean that seemed to end nowhere and was meeting the blue sky at the far end, the color of the ocean was very similar to her eyes that were light green and she could not help but gape at the exquisite sight in front of her. The sound of waves hitting the shore and then going back overwhelmed her and she felt butterflies in her stomach, she had always been in love with nature.
Her legs automatically started moving as if they had a brain of their own and she ran towards the ocean like a kid, not once looking at her husband and standing on the wet sand. A wave of water came soon after and went away after kissing her feet and she squealed loudly when the cold yet fresh water came in contact with her.
Xavier who was standing away looked at her with fondness, she was still the same like a carefree kid who enjoyed everything without any worry and only if he could be like that but he felt happy because he knew that she was happy here and nothing mattered more to him.
He approached her slowly, keeping his eyes fixed on her as he did not want to miss any moment of her smiling this brightly, he wanted to capture this sight as much as he could in the reel of his memory.
“do you like it?” he asked, standing behind her as he slowly wrapped his arms around his waist from behind and pulled her closer to himself.
“I love it,” she answered truthfully and put her hand above his and leaned back on him, “I love it here.” She confessed looking at the far distance and when another wave came to hit her she was reminded of the reality and she removed her grip on his hands and slowly pry his hands off her body and stepped away, her back facing him and she took a deep breath.
She reminded herself that she was not here to enjoy and feel happy. She was not here to enjoy the beauty nature had to offer but to make him happy. She wanted to make him feel good, to give him so many memories of happiness with her so that in the near future he could realise that it really was to be robbed off from him.
She turned around slowly to face him and plastered a smile on her face upon looking at him, “catch me!” she said with playfulness and grinned at him before running away alongside the beach.
Xavier stood there confused for a few seconds, not understanding what she had meant and looked at her running figure, “come on, Xavier catch me!” Her excited voice was heard that cleared all his confusion and he shook his head, smiling slightly at her tantrums and ran after her.
It did not take him long to catch up with her and in a minute he was right behind her and pulled her closer to himself by wrapping his one arm around her waist and his day became best when he heard her giggles. It sounded so cute and he found her even more adorable.
“got you!” he whispered cheerfully in her ears and turned her around and they faced each other, “and now what would I get from my adorable wife?” he cooed and poke her tiny nose with his index finger.
“umm let me guess,” she said and pretended to be think and looked behind him at the ocean and a sudden idea came to her mind and she leaned forward, decreasing the distance between them and pressed her palm against his chest and just as he thought that she was going to kiss him, something unexpected happen.
She pushed him with every ounce of her strength and Xavier who was unprepared for the sudden and expected push stumbled away and fell in the water.
She laughed loudly when she saw him on the ground surrounded by water and sand with a shocked expression as it took him few seconds to understand what really had happened and when he realized it was too late because all he could focus on was the sounds of her laughter, they were sweet and as melodic as the music and instead of being angry on her he felt contented and laughed along with her, finally sharing a happy moment with her made him feel like the luckiest man.
He sat there on his hips with legs spread out and leaned backward, putting his hand back and felt the cold water passing through him and he enjoyed the beautiful sight of his wife, “what are you doing? Stand up!” she told him once she stopped laughing and stepped closer to him.
“help me,” Xavier stretched his hand out for her and she slowly reached for it, grabbing his hand she tried to pull him up but Xavier pulled her instead and she fell right above him with a gasp of surprise leaving her mouth.
Xavier was laying down and above his was Tiara, his legs were spread and she was right in between them, her chest was pressed against him, her breast was getting squeezed between them, her face was right above his and their lips were almost brushing against each other. Tiara’s long hair covered his face from both sides and was spread over the ground.
He stared into her eyes, they were beautiful just like this beautiful ocean behind them and like a pirate who was tempted to get lost in the water he was getting lost in her eyes. He had always felt this pull whenever he looked into her eyes, it was like something in them was calling him out and his heart had always followed that call.
She looked at how he was staring at her and precisely in her eyes like he was finding something in there but she did not feel a thing, she neither felt guilty nor happy. It was like her heart had shut itself down completely causing her to turn completely emotionless when it comes to him.
Her eyes caught something near his ear and her gaze got stuck on it, she slowly moved her face and he thought she was going to kiss him and he really anticipated that but she turned sideways instead leaving him disappointed.
She detached herself from him and sat up on her knees, eyes still fixed on the ground. She reached out for the thing that had captivated her attention and picked it up and her eyes instantly brightened up with excitement.
“Xavier look!” she shrieked in happiness and he sat up upon hearing her, curious to know what had made his wife this happy, “it’s a shell!” She showed him a sea shell which was about two to three inches long and was off white in color.
She looked around, eyes scrutinized and gasped in amazement when she saw that the beach was full of different sea shells, “oh my god! There are so many.” She said in excitement and could not wait to get her hands on them. She held Xavier’s hand absentmindedly and tugged at him, “help me collect them.” She said and ran away and kneel down at a short distance and he assumed she had sat down to pick up another seashell.
He let out a throaty chuckle and shook his head in amusement as he thought that he had married a kid and stood up, following his wife to help her collect the sea shells that were fascinating her because if that makes her happy then why not.
It was late in the afternoon when they finally sat up on the beach with legs stretched out leisurely and gazed at the never ending ocean before them, a wave of water kept coming to touch the sand as if they belonged to it and kept coming back to him even after going further away.
The wave passed through them again and again but not that they mind as both of them were already drenched by the water fight they had minutes ago. Her hat was on her lap and filled with different shells she had collected, she had collected a lot but kept what she found unique and beautiful and threw the rest of them away and even so she still had so many that they were spilling out from her hat.
She leaned down on his side and put her head on his shoulder and yawned lightly placing her hand on her mouth, her hands were playing with the shells she had collected, “cascara,” she mumbled to herself and her eyes widened at the realization and a sudden thought popped in her head.
“Xavier,” she called and he hummed in response, “I have found a perfect name for this island.” She said in a tone that clearly showed how thoughtful she was, feeling happy that this beautiful island would not be nameless any more.
“Cascara, let's name it Cascara.” A soft smile was plastered on her face.
“then Cascara it is.” He smiled lovingly at her, seeing her love for the shells that she even named this Island after them as cascara meant shells in Spanish. He liked it though, he had thought about a few names before while buying it however, none seemed worthy to him but Cascara, he liked the sound of it as it not only meant shells for him but also something that his wife loved.
