Surrounded by everyone yet always alone
Sally froid took her time looking through all the old antiques during the 3rd stop of the schools trip. It was seen as important to learn the history of ALL beings the world creates, from the past and the now. Sally was interested in all things ancient, always alone she would bury herself in her history work always fascinated by the beings that hid in the world. Everybody is something, be it a werewolf, vampire, witch and that’s just a few of the usual subjects to learn about but sally had bypassed those 3 summers ago at 14years old, she now studied the ancient beings such as the leshy this is a magical being, a male woodland spirit to be exact, one that is believed to protect wild animals and the forests, they can shape shift to any form, animal or plant they deem necessary or how about the púcas this little fairy shapeshifter is definitely one to find interesting, usually staying in the mountains and hills they love to confuse all ages of people with a good riddle, they can change to a variety of forms, such as rabbit, horse or goblin. Though no matter the form the púca takes, its fur is always extremely dark which is grateful to know. They are almost always seen as black horses with a beautiful long mane and bright orange eyes. Púcas can communicate using human speech and if you treat them well they will help humans. Oh how sally wished they could see some real beings but that was almost impossible although there had been sightings by many it was said that most of these beings are either extinct or hiding in fear of the new beings that lurked the world. Sally understood the need to hide, it’s all she ever wanted to do even when nobody noticed her anyways. Now standing outside the museum the wind had picked up and a heavy breeze blew a strange but very seductive sent right under her nose, looking to her classmates it was apparent nobody else had caught onto this tantalising smell. Sallys eyes wondered everywhere trying to figure out where she would need to go to sought this scent out when her eyes suddenly held that of a strangers, a man clouded in crowds of other people yet unmoving, watching, sally checked behind her to make sure she wasn’t one of those girls, you know? )The one that waves back then it turns out they wasn’t waving at you) but nobody was behind her. She was standing alone.. the rest of the class a few feet away. So she just watched until the strange person disappeared into the crowds. How strange sally thought to herself, why on earth would somebody stand staring at me for so long. Although sally was not an ugly young lady she never saw herself as much more than average. Long brown hair, a small round face and a button nose and barely standing at 5.2 she was just like everybody else. Alas it did not take long for the rush of the day to help her forget the strange person. Stepping down from the coach sally had spent the best part of the day alone her classmates all huddled in little groups she had barely uttered a word, this did not bother sally it was more the speaking that did. She was never sure why although she suspected she had not found anyone interesting enough to talk too, her mother would always say not everybody is someone you need to figure out and dissect sally! But she could not help it and it wasn’t like anybody liked her regardless. That’s probably the actual reason she had no friends but remaining with the first choice for her silence made her feel as though she was in charge of the fact that nobody spoke to her. Walking through the throngs of students sally made her way to hand in her findings from the museum tours they had done bumping into the history teacher along the way. “Hello sally, how did you find the school trip” mr mercer planted a huge grin on his face and enthusiastically asked, “it was great mr mercer thankyou” sally replied sheepishly. This history teacher was very broad and good looking for a man of such knowledge it was expected of him being the history clerk in a pack of wolves it meant he had to know all things about everything past, present and future. With a slight nod of his head sally was left with her own thoughts on the way to the main office.
