Ariel's POV I ran outside the school in tears. I didn't want to attend this school. I didn't! I trusted them both. I didn't even know it was that big of a deal, but my mother? What did my mother have to do with all this? I walked on till I was almost outside of the school premises. The woods had many colorful chirping birds singing. I cleaned off the tears in my eyes and they were such beautiful creatures. At first, I thought it was the birds singing, but as I got closer I realized it was a girl singing. I increased my pace and stopped when I saw her. She looked like a junior and was very pretty, but she wasn't alone. She was with a young guy who had messy black curls that looked exactly like bedroom hair and beautiful steel-blue eyes, with warm ivory skin. He was tall, about five feet nine, and with very leanly muscular dystrophy. He was very pretty and I couldn't help but swoon over him even though he was with a girl he seemed to be in a relationship with. I stepped on a stick in my attempt to go back and it cracked, causing them to notice my presence. "Can we help you with something?" The girl asked. "Uh… I'm lost." I stuttered. "I'm sorry, do you know which way the Arcade center?" They both stared at me and directed me to the left. The truth is, I didn't even know an arcade existed. "Thank you…sorry for bothering you." " You are definitely the awkward one" my wolf affirmed. I hurried out of the woods into the arcade. A place I never intended to go. Surprisingly, Dan was there too. "Why do I feel like you've been avoiding me? You even skipped class." "The whole school knows about me. Candy humiliated me. It was just the two of you that know my background." "Wait, Candy?" "I'm serious, Dan." "I know me too. It's just…Candy? Why?" "I kinda bumped into her and her books fell…you know what? Forget it. I don't want to talk about it." I tried to leave but he didn't let me. "I knew nothing about that. I swear. I would never do such a thing." "Then who did?" "Why don't we ask Lynette? She's the all-knowing storyteller after all. Look, I barely even paid attention when you said all that. I'm sorry about all of it. Especially Candy," he said. I could tell he was being very sincere. "Well, I believe you. Why aren't you in class?" "Why aren't you in class?" "You know why…you barely go to class do you?" He nodded and folded his arms. "Why?" "The Alpha Quadruplets. They might want me dead." "Why? Who are those?" "They are the untouchables. There's River, he's the toughest in the squad. He's ruthless, unforgiving, really hard to reason with, and very full of himself. He has always thought of himself as a leader, and any other person beneath him amounts to nothing. He loves being an Alpha and what comes with it. He gets irritated and cranky when he doesn't get what he wants. He drinks coffee a lot and rumor has it that he has insomnia. He loves being powerful. He's obsessed with the attention and respect he commands. He's too confident in himself that he always believes that he can always get what he wants. Then there's the secondborn, Ryland. Rylie is the perfect definition of looks that can be deceiving. He could have you fooled by how innocent he looks, but beneath those bright steel-blue eyes, is a ruthless boy that does whatever he wants without caring about the impact it would have on others. He derives pleasure from making people suffer. Though heartless, but not as heartless as River, he still has a few empathic bones in him. He has a soft side of him that rarely surfaces. He has managed to keep it tamed over the years, almost like he doesn't want it to get out. He spends most of his time with girls in the woods. "I know him. I met him in the woods before I got here." I couldn't believe what Dan was saying about the diamond angel I just met. Dan sat down and crossed his feet. "You didn't fall for him, did you?" "Of course not." I lied, “hum… besides he was with his girlfriend.” "Oh well, all that softness you see just because they helped you is just a forefront. He was just a man that was afraid of getting hurt, of getting heartbroken again, So, he has stuck to pretending he doesn't have a heart. He has trained himself not to care, as though caring was a sin. He hates commitments. He hates being called his full name 'Ryland.' His brothers tend to taunt him with it. Also, he loves to swim; he loves being in the water." The third brother, his name is Kaden. He has these very alluring amber eyes and bright golden skin that make him look a little different from his brothers. He's six feet tall and muscular, but not as muscular as Riven. Kaden is almost reserved and loves to be on his own a lot. Sure, he finds bullying other people fun, but he prefers being alone. He's uninterested in a lot of things, but not bike riding and automobiles in general. His parents stopped him from bringing his bike to school,. Now he transports himself by helicopter. He loves doughnuts a lot. His mood swings are quite a handful. Kaden hates being touched, without initiating it himself. He loves his brothers. He's low-key a nerd and loves reading entertaining books. Kaden is not the most open person in the world, but he loves hard. His girlfriend broke his heart last week though. And then there's the last Alpha. He was my preferred before I got in trouble with them. His name is Arlo. He has sandy blonde hair and seductive melted chocolate orbs, coupled with porcelain skin. He's not as tall as his brothers. He's about five feet eight tall and has the same build as Rylie. He has the cheery personality out of the Quad, a walking, breathing embodiment of s*x appeal, and a playboy who sleeps with anything that has a hole between its legs. His flirting game is always on point. However, beneath the front of a playboy, was a boy who does everyone his brothers do, because he doesn't want to feel left out, like an outcast, so he bullies people along with his brothers because he doesn't want his brother to term his 'weak'. He's doing everything to please his brothers, not even living his own life in the least. Arlo loves to paint. It was his source of escape from the exhausting front he had been putting up for the whole world. Arlo hates being an Alpha and wishes to own an Art Gallery instead, but it was as though he was wishing for something that would never happen. Arlo is scared of discovering who he is without his brothers, unknown to him that he was limiting himself. He has no mind of his own. Hence, the reason he tends to make some questionable decisions, in a bid to please his brothers, is out of the fear of being singled out. I would say that Arlo is an Alpha suffering from an identity crisis. Either way, they all belong to the Castor Pack, Alpha Arrow Smith's sons. "Wait, did you just say they belong to the Castor Pack?" "Yeah, why?" Dan asked. "That's the house my mother cleans for. The Castors!"
