There were argument in the living room I could hear the loud coming from my uncle; Gabriel Thompson and my cousin Isabella,
“I can't marry someone I don't love.
I don't even know him, I've never met him, and the rumors we have all heard about him aren't doing any justice,” said Isabella.
“I know my love but I need you to do this me for, for you, for the family,you know everything I own is gonna be yours someday” replied Gabriel
Dad I can't, I just got engaged to Michael today, I was about telling you before you broke this news !!!
A loud noise can from the kitchen which is close to the sitting room.
They turned and saw me listening to their conversation, immediately Isabella spotted me she continued;
Since he doesn't know I'm your daughter why don't this loser here marry him in my place
That's going to be a win-win for everyone
I get to be with the love of my life, you get to have a deal with him.
“You're right”said Gabriel.
He called me and sat me down and said;
You are getting married to David Anthony in two weeks be prepared
In shock I surprisedly said I can't, I mean I won't,
I'm not the one being requested to marry Mr Anthony
Moreover I'm just your maid remember.
“Shut it “ said Gabriel,
you know if you disobey me you won't like the outcome
Moreover I pay your sisters medical bills
And if you don't do this
I will stop paying her medical bills and I'm going to throw you out of my house.
“Uncle you can't do that” I said
Don't you have any pity for me I'm your niece remember!
“Working as a maid was the agreement between us, This doesn't count, I can't and I won't do it.”
You dare question my order in my house? Said Gabriel
I've made my decision and it's final except you want me to truly act on what I said
I angrily stormed her room with tears in my eyes.

I still refused my uncle's request,
the next week I got a call from the hospital that my sisters payment has not been made and her treatment has being withdrawn till payment is made
Angrily i went to meet Gabriel.
“ Uncle why are you doing this, I just got a call from the hospital saying my sister's payment has been withdrawn
Why are you doing this, I came to you for help you asked me to work for you in return which I'm doing what else do you want from me” I said
I asked you for a simple thing you declined I decided to pay her bills before but now you don't obey me so I can do whatever I want,he said with an awkward smile in his face
It's either you marry David Anothony or you and your sister suffer, the decision is yours to make, said Gabriel
With tears in my eyes I remembered how my father treated his daughter, Hatred flowing through my whole body I wished the where not related.
Okay I will marry him, but first you will sort the bills that's the only thing that will make me do it” I said

It was the day of my wedding, I was wishing everything could be different,
I wished my parents was still alive I won't go through any of this.
After collecting all my father's property including his company, I still have to marry someone i have never meet, someone I dont love, for the sake of my sister
I was in thought when I loud sound interrupted me
Isabella walked in looks at me and said “I'm sorry you have to do this for me but you don't have a choice,I know you are not in a relationship so it's not like you're doing something wrong or breaking someone heart”
She said and laughed afterwards…
I was still looking at her and I thought to myself this is the first time this b***h is talking to me..
I angrily left the room leaving her behind
We got to the venue everyone was sitted already
As I walked through the crowd to the aisle I hoped and prayed I was doing the right thing in my mind I was thinking I could disagree or run away.
While I was still in my world I heard the priest saying “do you talk David Anthony to be your husband” and I immediately said yes I do.
I thought no going back now.
At the reception of the wedding I was standing alone greeting people I've never met before.
I could see David laughing with this friends and I thought “ how could he be this happy when he hardly knows the woman he's married to.
It was just to much of a hassle for me I had to look for a place to sit
Everyone looked happy, I had to force myself to smile, then I focus on him; he is good looking and an ideal husband
I just wasn't comfortable living with someone I've never met or spoken to before

My thoughts were interrupted by his voice again
“Uhmm my driver is gonna take you to the house whenever you're ready,” he said

“Can you stop stammering already it's exhausting what do you want to say”
“Nothing” I replied
And he walked away
I didn't think he would respond to me in that way. I felt embarrassed because everyone was looking at us, including my uncle and his daughter; I guess they're happy
“Don't take his words personal, he is a great guy and I'm sure he is going to be a great husband too” said Maxwell
I looked up
and saw his dad comforting me
I nodded and he took me to the car and told the driver to take me home.
