Her mother had always trained her to be prayerful and would ask her to pray for two hours so
she's used to long prayers. However, as a result of the battle she was about to face in her home,
she had to add an hour more.
She thought a while about what was going on before she slept. It wasn't long she slept when Mark
woke her up, saying he had wanted to use the restroom.
Kemi assisted him to the restroom, but realized he could assist himself better than before.
He spent 30minutes which was so unusual of him but Kemi was patient enough to wait for him to
come back to bed before she sleeps.
He finally got out after a while
"I kinda feel relieved" he said as he walked by himself to the bed as Kemi looked surprisingly.
"Goodnight love" Mark said
"Night baby" she responded as they slept off.
The next day, Mark was back on his feet again, except for a little headache and back pain, but
asides that, he was fine, his temperature was normal and he didn't feel any form of weakness in
him.
He went to the kitchen to find his wife Making breakfast for the family
He smiled at this and hugged her from behind
"Good morning my Wonder woman" he whispered as he kissed her neck to which she smiled in
response.
"You know I've missed you so much" she said as he tickled her
"I missed you more hun." He responded as he left her to see if there was anything he could help
her with
"So how are you" she asked
"I'm fine. Very fine. Except for a slight headache and back pain." He responded
"Thank God." She said, happy within that her prayers were answered without delay.
"Mama is here. Though I haven't seen her this morning" Kemi said "Oh yeah. I heard her voice yesterday but I was too weak to talk. I hope she's staying this time
around"
"Yes, I begged her to stay for two weeks." She responded
"Okay no problem. Let me go and call her then" Mark said as he made his way to the guest room
but found Mama already seated in the dining room
"Is breakfast not ready ni" she shouted from the dinning as Kemi came out with a set of dishes,
well set in a medium sized tray l.
"It's ready Ma" Kemi responded as she set the table and served her food and that of everyone as
she sat to eat.
Immediately after their breakfast, they heard a knock on the door.
"Are you expecting someone?" Kemi asked, facing Mark as he shook his head in negative
"Mama you nko" she asked her mom and she did the same thing
"Who could it be then?" She thought to herself as she made her way to the door.
On opening the door, behold it was Esther but unlike her (Kemi's) spirit, she was bold enough to
face her physically.
"Hey bestie" she said innocently like nothing happened and this irritated Kemi
"What do you want?" Kemi asked coldly
"Ah ah am I not welcome in your house anymore?" Esther asked
"Exactly" she responded
"Anyway, I came to see your husband and how he's doing. Hope nothing happened to him and he
isn't sick." She asked
"He's perfectly fine." Kemi responded, controlling herself as Esther laughed
"Oh please don't hide things from me. I know he's sick, infact, at the point of death or are you shy
to admit that." Esther said, still laughing as Mark appeared from Kemi's side
"I beg your pardon?" Mark thundered in anger, which made Kemi smile"You see? My lover isn't sick." Kemi said as Mark held her by the waist.
"No....no this isn't true" Esther said as Mark scoffed and left the two women
"You keep standing on the way Kemi. I'd leave, but I'd come back for you, and this time, it'd be
hotter than this. The battle line is drawn Kemi." Esther said in anger which made Kemi smile
"The battle is not mind but the Lord's." She responded
"You don't know who you're dealing with" Esther said.
Kemi laughed within "If God be for my family, who can be against us. Surely they shall gather, but
not by me, whosoever shall gather against me shall fall for my sake. Many are the afflictions of the
righteous but the Lord delivereth them from all. The righteous is as bold as a lion. You obviously
are the one who does not know who you're dealing with Esther" she said as Esther stormed out
their compound in great anger.
"What happened? How did that charmed gift not work? I mean I know Kemi would stand in my
way that was why I made it that when he touches it, he would be very sick and at the point of
death. I'm not giving up. If I don't have Mark, then no one else will except the dead." Esther
thought in her heart as she zoomed off.
Meanwhile, Mama Kemi had been peeping through the window and watching the whole drama.
When Kemi came in, she called her
"Kemi. Who's that girl" Mama asked
"She's the one I told you about that I've been seeing in my dreams" she responded calmly
"Who was she to you"
"My best friend Ma"
"Best friend?" Mama asked in deep surprise
"Kemi how can you make that kind of lady your best friend. Were you not spiritual when you chose
her as your friend? She's not the type that should be seen around you. It's been obvious you havebeen spiritual at all, and it's quite obvious that she has quenched the fire on your prayer altar as
well. It's only the Grace of God that has kept you on track.
Kemi, the battle will be tough and you have to prepare. I will stay for three months and teach you
what you should know about spiritual warfare, only do not be afraid" Mama charged.
"Really? Thank you Ma..... I really need someone to teach me Ma and I've prayed to God for help
and it's obvious he sent you here at this time" she said as she thanked her mom
"Thank God my dear. Go and be prepared. Your lessons start tomorrow" Mama said as she went
to her room.
Kemi's joy knew no bounds as her prayers of help had just been answered. She couldn't believe
her mom had planned to stay for three full months and every day of the time she's gonna spend
was going to end with a lesson on spiritual warfare
"I am more than ready to learn." She thought happily as she searched her room for an unused
jotter....she later found an empty one, they one they used as souvenir for their wedding
"Perfect" she thought to herself.
She prayed for the day to end fast so she could start her classes. She then searched for all prayer
books by Great men of God that she had and got read for the D-Day
"This is the beginning of a great turnaround in my spiritual life. My questions will be answered, my
doubts cleared and my fear eliminated. Oh my God. I can't wait" she thought to herself "The "D-Day" is here!!!" Kemi thought happily as she got up from bed as early as 5am, kissed her
husband and happily made her way to the kitchen to make breakfast. It was quite early for
breakfast but the Joy in her heart pushed her to do things quickly so she could spend quality time
with her mother.
Mark woke up an hour later to find out that his wife wasn't in bed. He made his was to the kitchen
to find her dancing joyfully, and he noticed she was done making breakfast.
"Uhmm....babe. Did you win a lottery or something." Mark asked, confused at his wife's sudden
excitement
"oh..... sweetheart. You're awake" she said with smiles, the smiles that her husband has always
admired
"Yeah...so why up so early" he said as he moved closer to her.
"Good morning my love. Well, let's just say I'm about to learn some lessons on how to protect us
and move our life forward forever. I'm going to learn deeper about God and His love for us. The
enemy and the weapons the Lord has put at our disposal that we have been so ignorant of. The
lesson starts today and I'm sooooooo excited babe. I'm going to be a complete wife after that, I'm
very certain" she said as she hugged him like a child who had just been given an extra biscuit.
Mark laughed at her attitude.
"Okay speak to me in plain English." He said while laughing as he couldn't help it.
"Okay. Mom is going to teach me the Bible today. God is going to use her to teach my hands to
war and my fingers to battle. It's starting today. For three months" She explained
"Three months? Isn't it too much" Mark asked
"Too much or too small. It's about the person who created us. Who created love so it's too small
and it isn't going to be boring at all.....I just wish it was Abit longer" she said.
Fast forward
"Mama I'm ready." Kemi said in excitement as she had already brought her Bible and the prayer
books she had along with her jotter to her mom's room
"Kemi....what are all these?" Mama asked surprised"Mama you're taking me through a three month course and I decided to bring everything for me to
learn faster." Kemi said in smiles
Mama smiled back at her ever learning attitude
"Prayer books are good my dear. But what if you don't have them? Will you say there's nothing
you can do? You know all the prayer points are from the Bible abi?" Mama asked
"Yes Ma."
"Good. So let's focus on our Bible for now. Prayer books would come later because they're
important as well."
"Okay Ma"
"Good. Now you know the book of Psalms don't you?"
"Yes Ma" Kemi replied
"Who's the sole author" Mama asked.
"King David." She replied
"That's right. Now can you give me a little profile of King David?"
"King David was a man after God's heart that fought alot of battles in his lifetime and was hardly
defeated."
"Very correct. Now if you look closely at the Book of Psalms, you'd see that there are prayers,
Thanksgiving and the prayers of forgiveness of sins in Psalms abi."
"Yes Ma. Like Psalm 51 was based on forgiveness of sins when he slept with Uriah's wife" Kemi
Replied
"Very good my daughter. Since David was a man of great battles, that means some prayer points
would be place in that book of Psalms. Some call it the prayers of the psalmist, and since he was
a man after God's heart, he'd pray aright." Mama said as Kemi was jotting some points
"You see another author was Moses. You notice also in Psalms that there's a chapter or chapters
where Moses was the author and Dothan and Korah were mentioned. Now I want you to study the
whole of Psalms and extract the prayer points you see there. That's your first assignment. I'll give
you seven days to accomplish that" Mama said as she ended her speech.
"Now, oko mi can you tell me the various weapons you know that the Kings of Isreal who pleaseGod used to win their battles?" Maka asked.
"Ehmmmm.....I Know King Jehoshaphat's own was praises Ma." Kemi replied
"Oda we'll talk about that later. Now your second assignment is to go study the various weapons
God used in fighting the Egyptians."
"You mean the plagues" Kemi stated
"Not really plagues. Go and check the instructions God gave to Moses so that each of the plagues
would happen." Mama stated
"Okay Ma" Kemi replied as she was jotting down her assignments
"Now our lecture for today is the morning." Mama said
"Morning?" Kemi said
"Yes my dear. Do you know that the morning can be used against you?" Mama asked as Kemi
shook her head in the negative.
"Oda oya open that Bible to Job 38:12-13 and read to yourself. If you meditate on that passage
well, you'd see that God asked Job if he had ever commanded the morning. Don't you Know that
early risers who pray have the best of the day? If the morning can be commanded, then the sun,
moon and stars can too. The stars can fight for or against you. In Judges 5:20, the stars fought
against Sisera and the enemy too can program the stars, moon or sun to fight against you as well
if you don't learn to take charge." Mama lectured
"Okay so Mama, how do I command my morning" Kemi asked as she listened with rapt attention.
"You are a Christian, use the authority God has place d in your hands. You can use the prayer
point in Psalms 121:6 for a start. As you go deeper, the Holy Spirit will teach you yourself." Mama
replied
"So oko mi, that's where I will stop for today. Make sure you do your assignments okay. I'm
already getting hungry" mama said as she stood up
"Okay Ma. Thank you Ma. Let me go and prepare something for you to eat after that, you'd rest"
Kemi said as she made her way to the kitchen to prepare something for her motherKemi spent the whole of that night doing her assignments. She was willing to learn more and from
the look of things, battle to come would be a tough one so she had to gather necessary knowledge
as soon as possible.
Mark on the other hand decided to join her as he wasn't comfortable with being a victim and not
knowing what to do about it. The last experience he had made him take his spiritual life much
more serious than before. He had never stopped Kemi from praying pr attending vigils whenever
she wants to but he didn't think such things could still happen in the 21st century until his
experience of a strange sickness. He was 100% okay now and was ready to resume but his wife
asked him to use up his days first. He obeyed though, but after series of strange things that
happened on the day he had stubbornly wanted to go to work despite Kemi's advise to stay home
Flashback
"Baby you do not have to go today, do you?" Kemi said as she crossed her arms on the bed.
"Come on babe, the reason he gave me the pass is gone now. And work will be piled up by now"
he said, adjusting his tie at the mirror
"It's only someone who's alive that can work" Kemi responded
"What do you mean by that statement?" Mark asked, facing her.
"They're trying to get you killed by all means if you don't Know....." Kemi retorted
"Because of my virtues? I don't think Esther is that wicked" Mark said, Kemi was already getting
irritated as a result of his very low understanding spiritually
"If anything happens to you out there, don't say I didn't warn you" she Said, leaving the room in
anger.Mark tried to start his car, but it refused to ignite. He then decided to take a taxi, but as they were
going, the driver asked him
"Oga where you dey go sef"
"To my place of work of course"
"Hmmm....oga e possible make you turn back?" He asked which got Mark pissed
"My friend it's none of your business" he retorted
"Sorry said" he said and kept quiet afterwards.
He alighted at his destination and paid the taxi driver.
As soon as he got to the gate, it was locked as usual so he had to knock. The gateman came to
attend to him but on seeing him, he refused to let him come in
"Oga, who you be" The gateman asked
"Mark Aigbogun" He stated calmly as he thought it usual to ask that question since he wasn't with
his car
"Oga nooo.....I no sabi who you be o." The gateman said
"What do you mean Usman. My friend open this gate" He said in anger
"Oga I say I no know you na. Na by force. Oga go home abeg" The gateman said and finally
locked the gate on him
"What? What is happening?" Mark thought to himself as he went back home in frustration.
He entered his compound and knocked on his door. He was greeted by his wife who was smiling
broadly
"I told you not to go but you refused. Thank God you're back safe and sound" she said as she
kissed him, leaving Mark confused
"Who are you?" He asked as he narrowed his eyes
"Your wife of course.....just that she's spiritually sound now" she responded.
He woke up past midnight to find Kemi fully awake and trying, looking like she was trying to solve
a puzzle.
"Command the morning? Is it really possible for the day or night, the sun moon or stars to be used
against me?" She thought aloud when her husband came to Join her
"Hey" he whispered
"Hi....sorry if I woke you up" she responded
"No you didn't. I've decided to join you into being abit more spiritual. Since I'm their target, I don't
want to be an illiterate or ignorant of what they can use against me." Mark said as he sat beside
her to see what she was up to
"Are you serious?" Kemi asked with smiles.
"Am I sure? Of course I am. I mean after the strange things that have been happening and I'm the
only one affected, I don't want to experience that again and who knows, it may be because I'm
lukewarm" Mark said as she hugged him tight
Mark smiled at her reaction because he has always known his wife to be someone that performs
better when she has a partner.
"Thanks babe. Since one chases a thousand and two chases ten thousand, we would conquer this
upcoming battle" she said as Mark let out a smile. He didn't know exactly what she was talking
about but he hadn't wanted to ask.
"So wassup. What are you doing?"
"Mum gave me an assignment. She said I should study the whole of Psalms, extracting the prayer
points I find there and then she said I shout the instructions God gave Moses before the plagues
were made possible" she explained as she showed him her jottings.
"Instructions like killing lamb and rubbing on their door post right" he asked
"Exactly. I made mention of that too but she said I should find others." She explained
"Okay you know what? Since you have two assignments, I'd do one, you'd do the other. I'll choose
the study of psamls and write out the prayer points I can see there along with the verses I found
them. Is that alright" he said as Kemi nodded in affirmative
"Okay let's get to work then" Mark said
"Wait. Mama made mention of commanding the morning. She even gave me over 5 scriptural
verses to study in accordance to what she was saying" Kemi said, showing him her jottings.
"She also said I should practice it and it's best when done around 5am before our daily activities"
she said further
"That's strange. I've never heard of that before." Mark said, turning the pages of her jottings.
"I'm also new to these things dear but we have to know them so we won't be ignorant of the devil's
devices. She said this is just the scratch, that as I go on and develop interest, His Spirit would
teach me himself." Kemi said
"Okay then so what are the verses she gave you, let's clarify our doubts" Mark said as he took his
Bible, getting ready to open to the passages she'd call
"First she made mention of Ps19:2-6" Kemi said as Mark opened to the passage and read it to
their hearing
"Wow. So the day speaks and the night reveals. Wow, this is new" Mark said.
"we've been so ignorant of so many things my love. I'm sure that after this, we'd overcome all the
battles we would face in life" Kemi commented
"Certainly. Let's continue" he said
"Okay. She also made mention to me that Joshua commanded the sun to stand still the whole
day, then she made mention of Deborah and Barak- the stars fought for them against Sisera in
Judges 5:20. She also said that God has asked us to command the morning in Job 38:12-13. She
said, when we command the morning, the wicked would be shaken out of it." Kemi explained
"So we can bring this down to our personal lives and command our morning and the wicked
against our lives would be shaken out right" Mark said

"Yes. She also made mention of a verse in Isaiah 38:7-8, when He had wanted to heal Hezekiah
and he gave him a sign that the sun shall go 10° backwards. So in summary, there's power in the
sun, moon and stars and if we don't command them to favour us, they could be used against us"
Kemi said, ending her speech.
"Wow....hmmm, so new. Okay let's do our assignment then we'd put it into practice and since I
won't be going to work for the next three days, including Saturday and Sunday making 5 days, I'd
learn with you" Mark concluded as Kemi gave a satisfactory smile.
"So...let's do our assignment" Mark said as he searched for prayer points from Psalms while Kemi
studied the Ten plagues closely
It was the next morning and Kemi was up abit early, set breakfast and waited patiently for her
mom to be ready for her
"Mama. I'm here, hope I'm not late." She said
"No dear. It's just 11:30 so we'd have enough time...let me say two hours" Mama said
She noticed Mark was with her and asked
"What is he doing here?" Mama asked with smiles
"He wants to learn too Mama" Kemi replied
Mama looked at the lovely couple and shed tears
"Mama what Happened? Is anything wrong? We can come back if we're too early" Kemi said as
she hated to see her mom in tears or pain
"It's nothing my daughter. You see if only your father and I had this opportunity you both have
now, if we had someone to teach us these things, I'm sure he'd be alive today" Mama said,
allowing the tears flow freely. Kemi kept mama in her arms as Mark was silent, watching the two.
Kemi hadn't wanted to shed tears in front of her mom or remember how dad died, how he was sick
for days as the sickness was growing worse day by day. That explained why Mama was very
much disappointed when she found Mark in almost the same position. So she summoned courage
and finally broke the silence
"Mama it's okay. You can teach us so you won't have to go through that a second time." She said
slowly
"It's fine. I'm okay now. At least my children are doing well and one day I'd carry my grand
children" Mama said as Kemi and Mark let out a smile
'Now let me see your assignments" she said, in perfect control of her emotionsPs 5:10

"It's okay but I believe as we go on, it'd be better than this" Mama said
"Now our next lesson" Mama said as the two couples sat comfortably to listen attentively to her.
