Chapter 1
"Welcome to the world, little one."
"She's gorgeous! Congratulations Alpha, Luna!"
"What's her name?"
"Samantha Dawn Grey"
My name is Samantha Grey. I am part of the Blue River Pack. My dad comes from a long line of Alpha male Blue River wolves whereas my mom was the first girl to be born in the line of Alpha of her pack in a long time.
Just a few short weeks ago my parents told me I was more than your average werewolf. I had already started to see that on my own but I thought maybe everyone else was slower than I was. My mom is a special type of shapeshifter called a Lycan. Lycans are the mythical creature of the supernatural world, they are said to be larger and quicker than a werewolf. Well, even though my dad is an Alpha, my mother's wolf is twice as large as his wolf.
****
To sum it up, Alpha Lycans are twice the size of normal Lycans. Alpha werewolves are 1.5 times the size of normal werewolves. Normal Lycans are twice the size of normal werewolves.

As I just turned 16 they decided to tell me before I shifted in front of everyone that I was different than them. Neither of my parents knew whether I would be an alpha Lycan size, normal Lycan size, or alpha werewolf size. But what they didn't think of was that I was more than anyone would have ever thought, I was next in line to become the Lycan queen.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first time I shifted, I discovered that I was taller than I was said to supposed to be and I was pure white. A color that was unheard of. Even my mom and dad didn't know that white Lycan/werewolves existed. When I told them they said that white means royalty, and that there hasn't been a white wolf in centuries. Therefore, I was to tell no one and never shift in front of anyone.
That plan failed, it wasn't my fault there was someone in the trees when I shifted back to human form. I found out because my friend, Sydney, mind linked me and asked if it was true.

Flashback
Are you a Lycan?!
No, who told you that?
I just overheard it and they also said that the wolf was white.
Do you promise not to tell anyone?
Yes, but what? Are you the Lycan?!
I am. And yes I am white.
Why are you white? I thought white wolves were extinct.
They are just rarely seen. I am lycan royalty. When I find my mate I can decide to go to Britain, make my own pack, or take over ruling this pack.
Wow!...... I want to be in your pack if you make a new one.
We'll see about that. As long as you don't tell a soul we should be off to a good start.

It didn't take long for everyone in the continent to know that there was a white lycan in the Blue River pack. Unmated males from all over the country started coming to our pack to see if I was their mate. They would hang out with me as much as they could to try and force us to be mates but I wanted to wait for my actual mate to find me or I find him.
During this time we had a pack, the Midnight Moon pack, come to let their males meet me and to make an alliance with my pack. Trish and Caleb, the most popular wolves in my pack, were jealous of me and all the attention I was getting. Trish wasn't used to all the guys ignoring her, as she was known as the pack slut for sleeping with almost anything that walks and talks. Caleb used to be my best friend but when I didn't want to f**k him, he tossed me aside to find someone he hadn't slept with already.
Even the girls from Midnight Moon pack didn't want anything to do with Caleb. Everyone wanted to meet me and be friends with me. The only people that respected my space and wanted to just know me for who I was and not what everyone thought I was, was the future beta and gamma of the Midnight Moon pack, Jake and Blake.
They both knew what it was like to be a nobody then someone important. Jake was a nobody until the pack found out his dad was neglecting him. Then they made a big deal about him being well taken care of and having a good home to go to. Blake said that Jake hid in his house for weeks until he was sure no one was going to ask if he was still being neglected.
Jake assured me though that even though his dad wasn't there all the time for him, now that he was older he lived with his dad again and helped him with the beta duties. Jake said that his dad did his best for being a single dad and being beta. Blake and Jake each tried their best to fake as my mate since their scents were close to each other. It worked well, some males backed off and others just smirked and tried hitting on me again. A few times I heard a guy growl when someone hit on me or touched me but I wasn't sure who it was. I thought maybe it was my beta, who was sometimes protective of me, but I also thought that it may have been my mate. It confused me because if it was my mate he should have claimed me already but he may have been afraid what would happen if he claimed me in front of all these unmated males. I have heard that fights happen because the unmated males think the female's mate is lying and just trying to take her away from everyone.
Jake and Blake allowed me to wear their t-shirts and sleep with one of them or both of them every night they were able to. It slowly made the amount of males touching me lessen. Most days Blake, Jake and I would wonder around my territory and seeking out places to hide and finding weak points in our borders. With the Midnight Moon pack being a small pack they kept their borders well maintained and knew what it smelt like if borders weren't kept maintained.
One day when we were in the far part of the forest away from everyone, we smelt rouges. We discovered that they were pacing the border trying to find a weak spot. I linked the Blue River pack warriors and told them that rouges were at the border. They said they were on their way and would bring some of the Midnight Moon warriors as back up if need.
Jake, Blake and I went to investigate the rouges but when we were just about to the border the rouges crossed and attacked us. Blake and Jake shifted but I didn't want to shift in front of anyone so I had to fight in human form. The rouges outnumbered us and when the warriors got there I had been beaten bad. I was on the edge of consciousness and bleeding heavily. The warriors finished the rouges off and rushed over to me to see how bad it was. When I spoke I startled them all, "Its no one's fault. We protected our land and our people. Without us people may have..."
"What? People may have what?!"
But everything was black I could still hear the boys but only faintly. I felt myself get lifted up and murmurs that I would be fine and the pack doctor would take care of me. The hadn't carried me very far before I passed out completely.

Everything's black and silent. I smelt the most amazing thing ever, vanilla and fresh rain, but every time I walked towards it, it would move farther away. I eventually just sat down and relaxed, hoping I would be able to get out of this darkness someway.
