Jane had everything she could have ever wanted, her father’s love, a promising future, and the admiration of those around her, until one mistake shattered it all. She had a one night stand with a stranger which led to pregnancy. This caused her to be abandoned and sent out of the house by her father for ruining the family name.

Jane struggles to rebuild her life in a small town in Ohio, far from all the luxury she was used to at Beverly Hills, carrying a child whose father she cannot name. She finds herself caught in a story of love, betrayal and lies between Rex, the charming stranger who offers her hope, and James, her childhood friend and crush who knows more about her downfall that he admits.

When the dark truth about the night that ruined her finally comes to light, Jane must decide: will she remain the victim of her family’s cruelty, or rise from the ashes to protect her child and reclaim her power?

Episode 1
Jane's POV "You have brought shame to this family, Jane. I can't believe you of all people will disgrace me this much," my father, Philip, lamented, veins popping out of his neck while he spoke. "How on earth could you be pregnant for nine weeks without knowing? Are you that daft that you wouldn't notice something like that. Now all my colleagues and neighbors know about it, you foolish girl." His hands curled into a fist as he charged at me furiously. My grandmother immediately pulled me over to herself to prevent him from hurting me. "Stop there right now!" She screamed, as she saw my father run towards our direction. "You are being too hard on her, it was a silly mistake that anyone can make," She said, clinging to me tightly. "A silly mistake? She shouldn't even involve in such activities to begin with at her age, after all I've done for you, you just made all my efforts go to waste," my father said, as the tone in his voice increased." I could feel his disappointment, he looked ready to explode every breath heavy with rage. I used to be his favorite child and he had never for once spoke to me rudely or disciplined me. This other side of his is something I've never experienced before and it's scary. "I'm sorry father, I didn't mean for this to happen," I broke down, tears dripping down my cheeks, it felt like the world was coming to an end. "Oh sure, I'm sure you didn't, silly girl. So you just happened to find yourself on the bed with another man all of a sudden, you must be really testing my patience right now," he clenched his fists, nails digging into his palms. "How long have this been going, tell me? And have you been lying to me? You told me you've never been with a man before, is that all a lie? His expression hardened, "I'm so sorry father, I sincerely don't know who the father is. I was so drunk at the party," I lowered my head, shame pressing my shoulders down. Before I could complete my statement, my nosy stepsister came out from no where and interrupted, "please don't punish her, punish me instead. I was the one who forced her to go to the party," she pouted her mouth as she spoke, she said the words, but her eyes meant the opposite. "It's also my fault, I shouldn't have allowed any of them go out for the party that night. I can assure you this would never happen again." My stepmother added, I stood there silently watching the drama that was happening, I had a strong feeling my step sister Sonia and her mother had something to do with this but I had no evidence to show for it. They have never for once had my back in anything thing before now, and all of a sudden, they care. I was so worried and disappointed in myself, how could I have let that happen? All I took at the party was the little canned wine Sonia gave me which shouldn't be enough to get me tipsy and high like I was that night when that happened. I fear I was drugged but don't know who did or when. "I'm sorry father, I sincerely thought it was James I went upstairs with that night at the party. I didn't plan for that to happen," "Even if it was James, it doesn't change the fact that you were willing to perform the act even after telling me you were a virgin. I guess it was all a lie after all. Now the whole neighborhood knows, everyone at work looks at me with disdain," sweat dripped down from his chin as he spoke, I've never seen my father this disappointed before. "You've brought shame to this family, I can't have you ruining my image the more, you are definitely going to leave this house," he shouted at the top of his voice, squeezing the white handkerchief he had on him at that time. "I will never let that happen, she goes nowhere," my grandmother interrupted him as he spoke. She has always been the one there for me ever since my mother died in a fatal car accident. My father remarried shortly after and as expected, my stepmother favors her daughter the more and barely cares about my well being, we are about the same age. "You are definitely leaving this house no matter what anyone says if you don't tell me who the father of the child is this very instant," he took a heavy shuddering breath. "I sincerely don't know, I was wasted when it happened. When I woke up the next morning, I jumped right up as soon as I noticed it wasn't James who was beside me. I didn't wait to check who it was, I ran out of the room immediately." "I was bothered initially but eventually took my mind of it after a while. I never for once imagined it would lead to this that's why I never told anyone about it. Besides, I had little to no knowledge of how these things work, I was a virgin before all these happened, dad, please trust me," I cried my eyes out as I spoke but he didn't bulge, I have never seen him this way before. I've always been his cute little baby until now. "So you're not just pregnant, you also do not know the father of the child. You're a fool and I can't deal with fools, I also cannot raise a bastard. You need to pack your bags and leave, you caused enough trouble already," The whole thing dawned on me that instant, it was starting to look real. My thoughts became clouded, where am I going to start from? Is my life over because of this little mistake? How am I going to survive being all alone? I could sense the excitement that Sonia and my Stepmother had that moment. The whole sad look was all a facade, this was all they've ever wished for, to see me gone and I guess that was going to happen for real now. "Please don't send my sister away, it was all my fault, if you are going to send her away, they you have to send me away too," Sonia said, as she stuck her nose in the air. We both knew all of that was fake but I was so uninterested in dealing with her drama at that moment. I was more concerned at the fact that I would probably have to leave my own father's house. "No, this isn't your fault Sonia, you might have persuaded her to go to the party but you didn't force her to sleep with a man, that's all her fault and she'll face the consequences alone." His words came out flat, My grandmother held me tight in her arms and kept insisting that I won't go anywhere, but the truth remains that she really can't stop my father from doing something once his mind is set on doing it. The little she could do at the moment was try. Tears rolled down my face endlessly as I watched my father speak to someone on the phone. I didn't know who it was but I was pretty sure it had something to do with me leaving. "I heard many of my workers were also at the party. I was skeptical about you working at my hotel, I should have followed my hunch. I know those workers are up to no good. A lot of them has had their eyes on you right from time that's why I didn't allow you work there till you were done with school. Now look where we are now in less than a year of working there." My father kept lamenting. I'm definitely going to find out who did this and make them pay for it, but in the meantime, start packing your bags, you're leaving this house and this state for good, you've caused enough damage to my image and the company's name already. A shiver raced down my spine, sadness clouded my whole face, the thought of leaving everything behind was unthinkable. Leaving everyone I know, everything I have just for a baby whose father is also a mystery to me. James upon hearing the news has refused to talk to me also, it's quite understandable. Asides from being my very good friend for years, he has always had a crush on me. We've known each other years before he started working as the manager at my father's hotel, although, I never gave him a chance. Hours went by, I kept on packing slowly, thinking he will change his mind but he was stern concerning his decision. The entire room started looking gloomy, I cried my eyes out to the extent that I couldn't see clearly. I could hear my grandma begging my father from the other room, she pleaded and pleaded but he kept mute the whole time. I looked through the window and saw a black SUV parked at the entrance with Duncan logo embedded on the shield. "It's probably one of dad's staff," I said to myself. Shortly after, I heard murmurs and tried placing my ears close to the door to hear what was going on in the living room.
