It was fun. It was the most fun I had in a while. I got to play so many games, to laugh and be carefree it really was amazing, plus Stephan won me a teddy bear.
We had so much fun, however, I got so tired and hungry that Stephan drove to this fancy restaurant he knew. I was eating, almost like stuffing my face.
"I didn't know you were that hungry" he was laughing at me, but I was laughing along with him.
" Hey don't laugh, plus when I get scared I tend to eat a lot and that scary house we went inside surely had an effect on me"
"Come on, it wasn't that scary" he had stopped looking at me and started eating.
" Easy for you to say I was the one in the front you we- " I stopped talking when I saw a familiar face entering the restaurant, I had to look down and up again to confirm it.
I'm not mistaken, it's Lucas. And who's that woman with him? She was standing way too close to him.
Is she another partner?
Don't be stupid it doesn't look at all like a business meeting.
Apparently, Stephan noticed me staring and he turned around to look at me, that is when he saw Lucas.
" That's an unpleasant coincidence" he faced me again and kept eating.
"Do you happen to know that woman who's with him?" I couldn't keep myself from not asking, curiosity and anger were slowly eating me up. But I shouldn't be angry, right? He has the right to go out with whoever he wants and I have no right to object to it, after all, there's nothing between us.
I think Lucas saw us too and that's why he was coming our way, and looking at his eyes, there was something about them that got me scared.
"That's a very long story" what? What does e mean?
" In two words please cause he's coming our way" I kept looking at Lucas whose eyes were boring inside mine.
Stephan turned to look behind him and Lucas just for a fraction of a second looked at him then his eyes returned to settle on me.
"He doesn't look very happy" I'm amazed by Stephan's cold nerves because that man coming our way looks like he wants to murder someone.
"What are you doing here?" I knew he wanted to scream so loud that everyone in the restaurant would get scared and start running. But he didn't, at least not until now.
"Can't you see? We're eating" I feel like slapping Stephan.
"Really? Can't you eat in your own house?" Patience was only a matter of seconds now.
"It won't look good if I take her to my house on our first date" my jaw dropped to the ground.
Is he normal?
Is he for real right now?
"DATE?" flames were coming out of his eyes. I just stood there with my mouth shut.
Oh, it's coming. It's coming.
"UP" I looked at Lucas and it seems he was talking to me. "I said get up, didn't you hear me?" He took a hold of my arm.
"She's not going anywhere" Stephan stood up "she came with me and she will leave with me. Shouldn't y be more concerned with the girl you came with?
And the mention of the girl Luca's eyes widened and he look at me. This time his eyes weren't filled with anger, he looked sad. His hands let go of my arm and dropped, and without even looking at me he turned around and left.
His reaction was strange, the Lucas I know, nothing can put him down like this. I wanted to run to him and ask him what was wrong but I couldn't.
Stephan sat down once again, we finished eating but after a moment we decided it was better to leave, well I decided Stephan was just following along.
After the incident at the restaurant, we agreed to call it a night and he dropped me home.
"Thank you, Stephan, I had a lot of fun and it was a great day" I grabbed my teddy bear
"It was my pleasure ma'am" he laughed. " I suppose I can't ask you on a second date" He grabbed my hand placing a gentle kiss.
"What do you mean?"
"Something is going on between you and Lucas, I can feel it and I don't like getting in the way"
"You're not getting in the way, there is no way, to begin with." I took a deep breath. " It's a little complicated, even I don't know what is going on."
"It's okay. If both of you want the same thing then just give it time and it will happen"
"Thank you, for everything" I hugged him.
"But that doesn't mean we won't be talking, going out, and having fun" he smiled.
"Of course. You're my friend"
I went back home feeling so tired as if I was run over by a train.
The girls were so excited waiting for me to tell them everything that happened. And I did, I told them everything that happened tonight.
"It's a shame Stephan seems like a nice guy, he understands you better." Lilly still was not on team Lucas.
"Well I still think that sexy boss is the one to go, but that dude better makes up his mind. Like he gets mad at you if you go out with someone while he's out there enjoying his life with some women. That's not logical."
" Well, when it's about Lucas nothing is logical. Anyway, I'm so tired I'm just gonna sleep"
"What about a movie night? " When I came back home Lilly had already made popcorn and some snacks. I was so tired but I didn't want to make her sad. So I decided to stay for a bit and when I'll feel sleepy I'll go back to my room.
My phone was buzzing.
I ignored it the first, the second time, and the third time but it wouldn't stop.
Who the hell is calling at this time?
I grabbed my phone, I could barely open my eyes, and with one eye opened, I read Boss on my phone.
My eyes instantly opened. Why was he calling me, and at this time?
It didn't look like he was going to stop anytime soon so I had to answer.
"Finally" I heard him say " Emily, are you there?"
"Yes, I'm listening "
"Come down I need to talk to you"
"Down where?"
"I'm at the door of your building. I'm waiting for you.
