The man was well suited and good looking.. Seeing Alice he smiled at her "Good Morning, Miss Wilkinson.." He greeted politely..

She smiled back too "Good Morning, Mr.?" She asked..

"Dennis.. Albert Dennis.. Just call me Albert.." He stretched his hand for a courtesy shake "I am the previous Assistant of Mr. Davies.. Glad to meet you.. Though I did not realise you are too young!!"

Out of modesty she also shook it back "Glad to meet you too Albert.. Call me Alice.." She didn't thought he would be pleased to see her.. After all, she just replaced him.. But, much to her surprise, he was looking happy!! However, she didn't feel right to ask about it..

"So come on Alice, let me show you everything before director comes.." With that he started informing about all the things about Shane..

She came to know some necessary things about him.. Like, he likes his coffee black with two spoon of sugar.. He does not like things unorganise and want in front of him immediately with an order.. He is a workaholic and always like his assistant leave after him.. He even likes to give order at the middle of the night.. Assistant should be concerned about the office phone because he does not like late reply..

Shane always likes to being called as a director.. He travels a lot for business purpose and Alice should be ready to accompany him at any time.. He never cares whether it's a man or woman in work and the most important thing is he hates to mix business with pleasure..

Then Albert also introduced her with Leonard's assistant Robin Smith.. He was a young, good looking and gentle man..

After knowing everything, Alice looked at the watch and it was ten minutes before 8.30 a.m.. And Shane would come at exact 8.30.. So, she quickly prepared his coffee and put it on his desk.. Then she started going through the files, Albert had showed her and asked to put in Shane's desk.. She did the exact thing..

And finally went to her own office.. It was a bit smaller than Director's, but it was perfect for her.. She started working on the things Albert had informed her..

Alice only stopped when the phone rang placing on her desk.. "Hello, D&M Corporation Ltd.." She said professionally..

"Come to my office.." Came Shane's cold voice and he cut the call immediately..

Alice "....."

She was stunned.. How rude!? She made a mental note, not to behave rudely with employees.. Everyone is like a family..

After locked it in her brain diary, she went towards Shane's office and knocked.. "Come in.."

Pushing the door, She stepped inside silently "yes Director Davies?"

Without sparing a look at her, he pushed three big bundles of files in front of her "Separate important files from it and then destroy those unwanted ones.." His tone was cold and blank..

Alice "....."

She was staring at those files on the table.. She didn't understand whether he was kidding with her or serious.. It would take her whole eternity to do!!

But, she did not complain "Sure sir.." She replied with professional smile and went back to her office, taking those files one by one..

Shane only smirked.. He did this with the intention of torturing her.. He might not break any thing of her but he would not forgive her easily!! And would take his revenge in a professional way..

Alice has been drowned in the pile of work the whole day.. She did not even get time to eat.. When she finished her work, it was 9 at night..

Sighing she leaned back on the chair.. "Oh Gosh! It was so tiring!! I should not let anyone work like this!!" Murmuring to her ownself she suddenly sat straight, she had an idea..

Alice quickly brought out the small lock diary from her bag, gifted by her little sister.. She decided to write do's and don't's after taking over their family business..

'DO'S AND DON'TS AFTER BEING THE PRESIDENT.....

1. Never been rude with the employees, they are like a family..

2. No one should stay after the legal work time and everyone should eat timely.. Because healthy and happy employees are assets for the company..'

She then checked it once and then closed the diary with satisfaction.. "Now, it's time to go home Veronica.." Talking with her ownself she then get out of her office only to face her jerk of a boss who did not bother to overload her with works mercilessly..

Basically, Shane also was going home after the hectic day.. He thought she left for home hours ago.. He thought to gave her a good punishment for leaving without informing him.. But, when he saw her getting out from the office the moment he also was leaving, he was a bit surprised.. "You still here?!" He asked..

"Yes, I just finished work few minutes ago.. I didn't expect to see you at this time.. I thought you left.." Alice was also surprised..

Shane started feeling guilty.. He didn't actually think she would wait until finishing all the work.. But, his titanic size ego did not let him apologise.. Instead, Arrogancy took place "you better not leave before finishing all the works.. It's important.."

"Don't worry Director Davies, It's been completed and you will get the very first thing at the morning.." Alice replied ignoring his arrogance.. She did not lose that professional smile from her face..

Shane started feeling more guilty.. But,

it's been done.. Without getting any word, he nodded "Let's go.."

Both get inside the lift silently.. Shane did not notice her today.. She was wearing a baby pink suit skirt with white blouse and a matching pair of heels.. Hair tied in low ponytail.. She was actually looking sexy!! He was observing her with the corner of his eyes..

Suddenly, he realised what he was doing!! He quickly blinked his eyes few times and tried to focus on something else.. But, he couldn't.. His eyes were going on her again and again.. He noticed one thing, she has a habit of biting her lips time to time which was very disturbing!!

And finally, they reached at the bottom floor.. Getting out from the lift Alice looked at her boss "Good Night, sir.. See you tomorrow.."

She was about to left but Shane stopped her "Miss Wilkinson?" Alice stopped on her track and turned to him "Yes?"

"Umm, you have your car?" He asked..

"No" She shook her head..

"It's late tonight, let me drop you.." He replied..

"It's okay sir, I will take a cab.." Alice denied..

"No, I can't do that.. After all, my employees safety is my responsibility.. Moreover, for me you have been late.. So, come with me.." He sounded like giving order..

Alice did not like his tone but on other side, after thinking for a moment she found it the most safe and suitable option so she agreed "okay, then.."
