Alice get inside the cabin again to face both annoying brothers.. "You called me sir?" She asked..

Shane leaned back on his seat "yes, miss Wilkinson.. Please have a seat.." He said showing her the chair she sat before.. And Leonard was seating silent, watching his brother's doings..

Alice noticed some unusuality on Shane's face as if he was planning something.. She didn't feel good about it.. But, obliged anyway..

Shane started going through her file once again.. Everything went silent.. Basically, he wanted to see her reaction and much to his surprise, she did not utter a word.. There was no expression on her face..

Finally, he looked up at her.. He gave her file back to him "Miss Wilkinson, as I have said before you are over qualified for the position.. But the main issue is your age.. Others could not take it easily maybe excluding few people.. Moreover, the position has already been taken away by someone.." He stopped to hear what she said..

Alice smiled politely "thanks for letting me know and I really appreciate your time.. Thank you sir.. I think I should leave now.." With that she stood up to get out from there.. Though she was being professional outside but inside she wanted to punch his handsome sorry face hard!!

"I am not finished yet, miss Wilkinson.." Suddenly, Shane spoke..

Alice looked at him with confusion.. That was unexpected.. "Yes?" She asked..

Hearing his brother, Leonard also adjusted himself on the seat.. He also wanted to listen too..

"Please seat.." Shane said, gesturing at the seat.. Alice obliged again.. But, did not ask anything..

Staring at her face for a moment, Shane spoke "look miss Wilkinson, you have the amazing background and I am sure you will be capable too.. In order to avoid some official problems I did not give you the post you have applied for.. But, I have another offer for you.." He stopped and again watched her reaction but didn't get any..

Alice was looking at him with professionalism.. She did not show her mind through her face.. It was the result of tons of hard exercises and meditations.. She just nodded, waiting for his next words..

Shane spoke again "I don't want to lose a raw talent like you.. So, I decided you to keep with me, as my personal assistant.. I am offering you the position of my PA.. What do you think?" Saying he again leaned back on the chair..

Leonard was guessing something like that.. So, he didn't get shocked.. He then gave his all focus on the girl.. Now he wanted to know her answer..

Alice was not see this coming.. She thought he was just wasting her time to satisfy his ego.. But, his offer surprised her a lot.. Yet, she kept that to her asusual.. Her brain was working like a tornado at that moment..

She was here for the post of Assistant Accounting Manager but now she got the proposal of being the Personal Assistant of the director himself.. And it was the post she actually wanted but it was not available though.. She needed the experience of the Director of the company directly which was only possible as a PA.. It was the easiest way to see the works of the director.. She would not let this opportunity go..

"Thank you for the proposal sir, it was really a great opportunity for me.. Though I didn't get the position I applied for but what I have been offered for was also great and I really would like to take that.." She agreed..

Leonard nodded in satisfaction.. Though he was expecting her to agree but this girl already done unexpected things before so it was a little doubtful.. He then looked at his brother.. He was just like a ghost between them..

On the other hand, Shane was happy in mind that he did not waste this raw talent and also not the opportunity to take revenge.. Now he could show her, how it felt..

Shane smirked "congratulations, Miss Wilkinson.. Now you have become my official secretary.. You will get your appointment later soon and your work will start from Monday, at sharp 8 a.m.. You have to prepare my all things before I come to office, my previous secretary will inform you things after you will arrive.. Oh, and you will get your confirmation contract at Monday too.. Thank you.." He explained things to her..

Alice nodded.. "Sure sir, I will.. Thank you.." With that she stood up to left from there.. The moment she was about to pushed the door, Shane stopped by calling her "Miss Wilkinson?"

Alice turned around to face him "anything else sir?"

"I hate people who comes late at work.. As my personal assistant you should remember that.." He said..

"Don't worry, I will not get late.." Saying that she got out from the cabin.. After getting out from the Company she released her breath she was holding till now, which she also did not have any idea about.. Finally, she got what she needed.. Now, it's time for her to show her performance and get experiences..

Getting into the bus, she called her mother to let her know.. Her mother picked it up almost immediately "hello sweetheart, how are you?"

Alice rolled her eyes at the question "mom, didn't we talk just few hours ago?" She asked..

"Yeah, yeah I know.. Still, I am a mother and I am worried about my kids, specially when they are too far away from me.." She whined..

Smiling, Alice shook her head "mom, don't worry.. I am absolutely fine and guess what?"

"What? You have got the job.. I know that.." She said as the matter of fact..

"Aren't you too confident mom?"

"Nope, not at all.. As a mother I know what my kids are meant for and what they deserves.." She replied proudly..

"Okay, you win.. Yes, I have got the job.. But not in the post I have applied for.. I have got the Secretary post.." Alice said..

"Isn't that what you wanted? But, how did it happened?" Her mother was a bit surprised too..

Alice then explained everything, what happened.. "Hmm.. Understand.." Her mother replied, hearing everything.. "So, best of luck and remember Veronica, you have to hide your real identity and mix with different peoples, then only you can gain the real experience and you will be unbreakable.." She again warned her daughter..

Alice nodded "yes mom.. Don't worry, nothing will happen.. Okay mom, I will talk to you later and give my love to everyone.. I love you mom.. Bye.."

"I love you too baby.. Take care.." Her mother replied and both hung up..

Alice then leaned back on the seat.. Her morning was hectic.. But, she was happy that she have achieved what she wanted.. And now it's time for her to get ready for everything coming towards her..

Alice quickly got out of the house after saying goodbye to Mrs. Simon.. Basically, she was the paying guest in her house but the woman and her son became like her family in just six months.. She also loved them so much.. She decided to reveal her real identity to them before leaving this place..

Today was her first day at the D&M Corporation and she was exited about that too.. After reaching office, she greeted Jacob "Good Morning, Mr. Hale.."

Jacob also greeted back politely and smiled at her "Hey, just call me Jacob and I will call you Alice.. Those formalities are boring and troublesome.. Ofcourse if you don't mind then only.. And yes, congratulations.."

"Oh thank you.. And sure, I don't mind.. Then Jacob it is.." Alice replied..

After saying him goodbye she went towards her new office.. It was on 29th floor.. Her cabin was with the director's.. Reaching at the exact floor she stepped out and met the receptionist and another man, standing in front of the receptionists desk..
