Chapter 3

"Dad!" I call

Rushing from my room and speeding down the stairs entering the Throne room. After I left Triton's cave he swam me safely back to the palace last night.

"Yes Coralie." He answers.

"I've decided that I'll attend Mystic High School, But I'll need some sort of security with me. " I say.

"Yes.. Sure." Says my Dad.

" I suggest Triton come along with me. I trust him and so do you right? " I convince him.

"Well Coralie, He is my head guard, and I do need him here. Tell you what, I'll give it some thought and let you know what I've decided." He tells me.

"Okay Dad. " I say calmly.

I leave the throne room, while I exit the golden room, I decide to go back to my room and to create my shell bra. I doubt my Father would allow Triton to go with me to land.

I enter my room, my rooms has a rose pink shell bed with stone walls and a white marble top dressing table with my pretty vanity Mirror made of little white shells. I take a seat at my dressing table and start combing my long white blonde hair. In deep thought of the night I had with Triton.

I really like him and I hope Dad allows him to come with me to land.

Aphrodite's POV

" Good Morning My king." I greet my husband.

"Good Morning My Queen." he answers.

" So our daughter came storming in the throne room this morning, agreeing to go to land but she wants Triton as her security. I'm not too sure about it. I've seen the way she looks at him and I'm not quite sure if I can allow them to leave Atlantis alone together. " He says with concern.

" Neptune, our daughter has a good head on her shoulders, she will not go about going against the rules of royalty, she is very adventurous yes but what princess won't be. She is just looking for someone she knows, to go with her. I think taking Triton will be a excellent idea. I agree with her. Neptune, you should really give her a chance to express herself as well. One Day she'll be Queen and she'll be making her own rules. You have to give her a chance to make you proud. You've always been so hard on her. " I comfort him

" I know, that's because one day she'll be ruling over this entire ocean. But you're right, I should give her a chance to make decisions too. Triton going with her will be a good idea." he said.

" Triton!" my husband calls his head guard.

Triton enters almost immediately.

"Yes Sire, My Queen" Triton answers and greets me. I nod my head

" You are my best guard here, and for that I have to do something that you probably will not like, but this is all about the safety of the Princess. I need you to accompany Princess Coralie, to her new school and live there with her, make sure she is safe at all times. Watch over her. " Neptune says to Triton.

Triton agrees and is told to take the next two days off from work because he'll need all the rest he can get for the trip.

Coralie's POV

Later the day I managed to DIY my own Shell bra in one day. I need to start packing soon. I wonder where I will stay once I'm on land. I suppose I have to look at this situation differently. I'm doing this for the future of Merpeople. For us to be one with the humans and for humans to accept the supernatural beings.

I hear a knock on my room door.

"Coralie?! It's Pearl." Says the voice behind the door.

"Come on in Pearl." I answer.

Pearl is our Palace keeper. She's been working for my parents since before I was born. She is the most sweetest mermaid I've ever met. She's got a green tail with pretty brown long hair. Pearl doesn't wear sea shell's. She has a sea weed tube top to cover up her upper area.

" Your Father would like to see you Coralie, He is in the throne room. " She says with her squeaky voice.

" Okay, Thanks Pearl. I'll be right there." I inform her. She exits the room.

I get up from my dressing table chair and swim down to the throne room.

I enter the Throne room and see my parents sitting on their throne. Do they ever get up from those huge gold chairs? I think to myself.

"Yes Father. " I say obediently.

" After a long while of thinking, your mother and I have come to the conclusion that having Triton accompany you on land will be a excellent idea. " My father informs me.

Deep down I'm feeling overjoyed but I can't have them know that. This is strictly professional. It's all about my safety first of all.

" Thank you Father, for taking the time to think about my decision and for giving it a chance." I say gratefully.

Now this trip gets more exciting. After hearing Triton's name I suddenly have this urge of missing him. It hit me like I swam into a huge rock blindfolded.

"Father, I'm going to leave the palace, I'll just be at the rock. I want to see the sunset. " I inform him.

"Sure Coralie. Please be careful. " says my father as I swim away.

I need to go see Triton! I need to tell him the good news! I wonder if he is missing me as well. I swim through the wide blue ocean. Swimming past kelp and seaweed. Through a school of fish determined to get to their destination. Headed to my rock.

I decide to go see Triton after watching the sunset. I get closer to my rock and I pop my head to the surface and little do I know, my handsome, golden haired prince charming sitting right there, on my rock. Waiting for me to enjoy the sunset together.
