Love Across School Halls

The story begins with a young man named Jake who harbors feelings for his friend Jane. They met during their senior year in Roose National High School (RNHS). Jane is a quiet, intelligent girl with introverted tendencies, while Jake is lively, kind, and popular among his peers. A few months later, Jake is riding a jeepney on his way to school, engrossed in his f*******: feed when suddenly he receives a message. Jane: hi Jake Surprised by Jane's message, Jake looks around the jeep and sees her waving at him. He waves back and replies on Messenger. Jake: Hi there. (with a smile) After arriving at school, Jake heads to his classroom and meets his friends, Matthew and Joshua. Matt: Hey, wanna grab some food at the cafeteria? Jake: Sure, are you buying? Matt: Josh and I will join you. Josh: It's your treat, big brother. Jake: Why me? Matt's the one with more money. (They all laugh) As time passes, their classes end, and Jake notices Jane playing online games. He approaches Matthew to join them, but he's hesitant due to Jane's introverted nature. Their teacher arrives for an announcement. Teacher: Good afternoon, class. Next month, you will have an immersion, so there will also be a meeting this week. Do you understand? Students: Yes, ma'am. As students discuss their plans for the immersion, Jake is called by his teacher adviser while chatting with his friends. Teacher: Jake, may I speak with you? Jake: Yes, ma'am. He walks to the back of the classroom to talk to his teacher. Jake: What is it, ma'am? Teacher: What will you choose for the immersion? Jake: Maybe I'll become a teacher. Teacher: Okay, sure. Please call your other classmates. Jake: Alright, ma'am. Before the immersion, their school holds a student day event. Jake is an officer in the school, and he often attends meetings. One day, Jane, along with two friends, Eve and Jaira, approaches Jake for a conversation. Eve: Hi, big brother Jake. Jake: Hello! Looks like you're all busy, huh? (glancing at Jane) Jane: How are you? (she asks Jake) Jake: Huh? Oh, haha, I'm okay. How about you? How's your day? (with a smile) Jane: We're doing well, actually. Jake: Ahh, are you joining any events or participating in any activities? Jaira: What are the plans for the event? Jake: There will be booths like a jail booth, wedding booth, food booth, and cookery demonstrations. Jane: Right, let's join the wedding booth. We can all get married. (she says to Eve and Jaira) Jane then asks Jake: Jane: Do you want to join us at the wedding booth, the four of us? Jake smiles at Jane's suggestion and responds: Jake: Why am I the only guy? I'll be with you in the jail booth; we'll be the ones apprehending people. Jane: Oh, too bad. Eve: I want to join the food booth. Jane: Me too, let's go there. Jaira: Yeah, so we can fill ourselves up. Time goes by, and slowly Jake falls for Jane.
