Small Tour

The door clicks behind as to say goodbye to us, leaving Rayvn and I to the dimly lit stone corridor with no windows and no other doors to be seen other then the one that I now apparently mine. My now new dress pinches at my sides as I step out of the room, the weight of the dress heavy on my small figure. Looking over at the young witch,  Rayvn lifts her deep red hood over her raven black and white feather hair hiding her face, mumbling something under her breath, which I don't question as a unsettling quietness settles around us. The air in the corridor thick and yet still holds a chill. Then catching a glimpse of blue sparks dancing around us in air almost cocooning around us from whatever lurks within the stone walls. As they once appeared the blue sparks fizzled out into the air around us. Magic... I realise. Rayvn cast a spell cocooning us in some sort of invisible field. "Come on, Julian is waiting and so is brunch" Rayvn turns to me her soft smile hiding behind her hood.and kind eyes seems to shift the unsettling mood. Turning we start walking down the stone corridor leaving the lonely door with the unsettling air. The soft fall of our footsteps echo through the empty corridors that seem to go on forever, there emptiness hold a chilling and almost calling air. Whispering of our dresses brushing against the stone floors answering the empty air. The hairs on the back of my neck stand and my ears twitch, as though to warn me that something is watching lurking withing the corridors with us, hiding within the stone walls. Turning to see whats behind us, Rayvn's hand grips mine strong and firm not to hurt me but as a warning not to turn around, stopping me before I can see what lurks behind. Her warm hand squeezing as if too say to keep moving. Looking over to Rayvn, she also seems to feel the presence behind us, the tips of her white feather hair poking out from under her hooded head, and her shoulders tense and straightened back, she tightens her grip on my hand and quickens her pace. Following Rayvn, we turn down another corridor more open then the last. And as if opening a door on a spring day  the thick air that once filled the air thins out into something more liveable and sweet air, almost to signal to us that whatever was behind us is now gone. Letting out a breath that I didn't know that I was holding in, Rayvn lowers her red hood also letting out a breathe, the blue sparks that once cocooned us before return only this time they seem to float to the ground like feathers floating to the ground but before they hit the ground they fizzle out.  "Well that was interesting" Rayvn says cutting the silence that has grown between us, giving my hand a small squeeze before letting go. Giving Rayvn a small nod I catch a glimpse of something shining down the end of the rather large corridor. Only its not a corridor but more of a grand opening of the castle, the walls the colour of mahogany and on all the walls ginormous paintings of what seems to be of battles or portraits of vampire royalty. Long, flowing cream coloured curtains hide away the massive windows behind, the light of the morning sun behind trying to find a way in. Other stone corridors line the mahogany walls, leading down to more sections of the castle. At one end hall was a large white marble staircase, gleaming under the crystal chandelier hanging from the tall roof. At the other end a set of giant black steel doors, almost as if they were guarding the world from what lives inside this castle. Then there was the at one side of the hall a set of beautiful stained doors glass doors almost glimmering under the light, the stained glass doors depicting snow-capped mountains, blues and whites almost alive showing a blizzard.   As if to notice my wondering stare, Rayvn clears her throat and giving me a small curtsy "Welcome to Black Manor, home to the Black-blood Coven. This is one of many grand rooms in the castle". Waving her free hand, she motions to the rather large and empty room in front of us.   "Where is everyone?" my voice coming out barely a whisper, my throat on fire still not used to speaking. With a small frown on her face Rayvn takes my arm and looping it in hers we continue down towards the glass doors as she responds "Sounds like you need a cup of tea and to answer your question most sleep during the day because you see its mostly vampires that live here, those not needed for duties that is. Some of us are needed for meetings or to guard the castle"  Waving at every family portrait, she explains who they are and how they came to be important in the coven. in the middle of two, one seemed to be missing yet its shadow still hangs on the wall. Walking over to the next painting a family portrait, she tells me who they are, yet I don't pay attention as we continue, my mind wondering who they were and what happened to them.  Gesturing to the paintings that hang lazily on the walls, Rayvn points to a painting of a great battle of Vampires and Werewolves. "Here you can see the battle between Vladimir the first High Vampiri and Malak the first lycanthrope there battle over Selene the Moon Goddess, for they both loved her deeply and fought for many years until Selene cursed the two, using her magic bound each soul to find their true mate and find them however long it may take and let fate decide when." "Vampiri?" I ask looking over at Rayvn. Her teal eyes staring up at the battle in the painting "Vampiri are very rare and incredibly powerful, Vladimir's bloodline mainly carries Vampiri royals but some have popped up since then without being a direct descendant." I catch myself staring at Vladimir his golden eyes almost looking into my soul as if trying to tell me something.  "Like my mother?"  asking as I reach up to my left eye. Rayvn nods, "But also like you" a deep voice comes from behind.
