March, March!!

1875 Words
The line formation of airborne warriors within the horizon were marching way above sea level. The roar of parade stirring up the cloud on their way of trekking down the hill in rhythm and matching velocity among one another. Dark-saturated coil of mist was enveloping the flying terror all the time, foiled them as an umbrella of their disembark to the city of the ground. A far distance below the flock of birds, a small group of ground fist-fighters roaming the mountain range in caution. They stepping down the hill in full awareness of their short-sighted field of vision, being watchful on every stride of leg that they choose to traverse. “We’ll have two hours of rest after this!! Stay in spirit!” Their chief commander, Fritz, is on the front of the human’s group. He is the person-in-charge of leading the main perpetrators to encroach the land of automated governance. He is in flawless vigor, chanting the war cry to his fellow marauders along the way. “He is charismatic, Marion. I can see how he managed to unite the animal kingdom within his grasp.” Reginald is walking down close-by to Marion, his close friend within the group, to travel down the mountain in pair. “Hey, Regi, Are you her guardian or something? You looked like one to me.” On Reginald’s left is George, his once sworn foe of the past. Their long-lorn hatred were passed on, ceased to dust in the weeks of their training upon the hills. “I’m her long-time friend, George. It’s only natural for me to stand by her side.” “Hahaha, a friend.... I guess someone would be outraged by such tag-line.” Maria is looking down to the ground, fell in silence to George’s insinuation. “Hey, are you alright, Marion? Do you need assistance?” “No, I’m fine... Keep on walking, Regi. I need some time to myself before the battle.” Maria is striding to the left side of the group, disbanding herself out of it for the time being. “A jumbled feelings of a woman, indeed. You must be wasted for not doing a single thing to the lady, Regi.” “Of what stuff, George?” George is staring dead to Reginald’s eye, looking astonished by the answer. “What? Are you joking? She’s in love, man! You must be a retard, at least in terms of relationship. How many of girls hitting on you last time?” “Hitting on me? Hmmm... physical contact, or on what kind? I don’t know what you talking about.” “HAHAHA!! What a moron! She’s gorgeous, and you've never see her as a woman, that’s the ‘why’ in the sentence!” Reginald tilting his head outwards in bewilderment. “Yeah, I concur. She’s beautiful, and a woman to count upon. Why?” “Okay, let me re-phrase it for you one last time. She is gorgeous, correct?” “Yes, but on certain degree. I don’t look upon her in such indecent manner, George.” “Ah, don’t be a liar! How many of man out there lying idle by such temptation to have her?” Reginald shook his head repeatedly by George’s query. “Hmm, you are ‘the most’ man. I don’t label myself like it.” “I reckon you must be oxygen deprived by the height up here. Here, have my tabs for an increase to your take.” “No, thank you. I’ve been satisfied with my tube, so you better save the usage of yours at this point.” --- The long stroll of the Earth-dwellers to the lowland shifting to its end. Three hours of walking finally pays off the bill, as they reaching the immersive patch of grass on the flat surface. “Raaaaa!!!!! Spell for rest, boys!! Be quick, and we’ll sleep in no time!!” The mob were struck in rapture. Their pace of stroll is gaining its maximum speed in a matter of seconds. Due to the long course to dwindle, all of the combatants were wary in stamina and feeling low on health. However, the green pasture were revitalized their energy and recharge their vigor subsequently, showing a glints of growth to their well-being. “Unload the tent, my fellow Protego! We have 4 hours to loaf around, use this time for sleep!” “Yes, Sir!!” The commando to lay down their tent chirping in tune with their restless eyes. In three minutes, all of the shelter is unpacked in ease. Reginald, in close-by to the other tired travelers, is on his way to sleep before a small tremor startled him to awake. “Uh, Rizo. What’s up?” “Hey, is She around you, Regi? The leader is summoning her to the main tent.” Reginald is shrugging his shoulders in reluctant fashion without lifting his head up from the bed. “Who? Maria? Nope.” “Oh, alright. Happy sleeping, then, Regi.” “Night-night.” Reginald returns to fall back into the realm of paradise in comfort, but then realized of some words from George a way back. “Ah, She might be up there. I’ll go look for it.” As Reginald reaching up towards the end of their uphill track, Maria was there. She is standing alone over the edge of a cliff, looking at the far end of the mountain side. “Hey, Marion!! Something up? I’m worried of you back there, Ma’am.” “Hum? Nothing of the sort...” Reginald standing in parallel of her stead. After enjoying the panoramic sight of sunrise for some time, Reginald grabs Maria’s hand immediately, shocked her up as a result. “What is this, Regi? Are you nuts?” “Yeah, I’m nuts. I can’t tell of how much I adore your sight so far.” Maria went flustered by the constant gaze of Reginald. Her cheek turned slightly red at once. “So, uhm... well...” “This is war, Regi. Better tell it than lose it.” “Let’s go on a date after this, okay?” “Right..... so plain and simple, huh? Typical of you.”   --- The army’s second march is straight forward, but taken the most of their days to travel. On the other way, The bird’s were already on the course to the last rendezvous point, several days ahead of the land-dwellers to match. “Have you turned on your bracelet, Regi?” “Yes, Fritz. Why do we need it so much to turn it back up?” “Well, like I said earlier, We need their top-executives’ attention. You are one of the fugitives, right? They must be baffled to see you again on the run.” “No, I mean, Why do we have to collect the boss’ device?” “Hmm, since I’ve been on top of their oligarchy for a few years before, I know that my bracelet could access the main hub within Mr. LORD’s system to alter their rules.” Reginald fell bemused to the sudden information and rolling his head to the left. “What? So, the top-executives could bend the rules as they wished for... Why were you cleared out from the team, then?” “No, It’s not as conventional as placing the bracelet into the slot. We have to crack the bracelets, seize the unique gemstones underneath, and place in into the panel on the main control room of Mr. LORD.” “In other words, the top executives have to resign from Repugnare after doing such maneuver.... Okay, It’s not that easy to boot.” Fritz  then pulling out an absurd-looking object inside his pouch and handed it out to Reginald afterwards. “Here’s the sample. This is an exotic stones of the mine. I don’t have knowledge over the type, but it must be unique to our sight.” As his methods to understand the stone, Reginald goes on to rub the texture of it and perceived the feel of the gem within his hands. “Ah, okay. I’ll try to get them for you, Fritz.” “Much obliged, Regi. What about your powers? Have you decided upon which one to evoke?” Reginald is scratching his nape in uncertainty. “Well, I’ll go to figure that one out. Who is the top executives of recent Repugnare, Fritz?” At the wake of the query, Maria interrupting their ascending discussion in cheerful assertion. “I could give you insight on this one, Regi. Father, lay your focus upon the formation.” “Alright, I’ll entrust this man to you, Maria. Feed him with nutrients that he might have to occupy.” “Right-o!!” Fritz gone back to his ranks and leading the group to the destination upfront. “Here goes, Regi. Pay your attention to it, since I would not repeat it twice, no matter of our status at this point.” “Uh-huh.” “The first and foremost is their captain, Ellen Suria. You have known this one back. The right hand man of the operation is, uh, Elena perhaps?” Reginald laid his hand to his waist as the way to think over the new personality that Maria have speaking about. “Elena? Have I known that name before? A man..... Ah, you must be telling me about Serafina. Damn it, she has a lot of alias to think of.” “I’ve had no certain ideas over her identity, Regi. It doesn’t matter, though, as we only wanted her bracelet, of all.” Maria placed an index finger to her chin, a sign of curiosity and wonder to the rest. “Well, what’s next? Ah, their tactician is Merry Lumosina. She led herself outside the group, despite her association with the top-tier executives. Her henchman is Simon Reiner, your former playmates.” “Do you recognize Jeremy?” “Who? Oh, that person is Jeremy White, the trainer for under-intermediate members of Repugnare. He often allocates some of his trainee in Elena, umm, Serafina’s expense.” “Okay, that’s all the hardship, huh. What of you, then, Maria?” “I do take part as one of the top-member, but excommunicated by the team afterwards. The recon mission is Mr. LORD’s attempt to flush me out from the group, Regi.” Reginald gasping in surprise of the unexpected confession. “Oh, right, I forgot about your tandem. Who is Brody? Is he dangerous?” “errr, he was assigned to be my assassin. Luckily, I could notice his wayward behavior in that tiny hut and escape without any injury.” “Oh, so that’s why it’s abandoned. Hmmm, the scrap paper, are you doodling those under the plank?” “Kind of. I have to give some falsified trail for you both to get out from that place.” Reginald nodded and writing several marks to his small notes. “Hey, hey, what’s the main ability of Jeremy, Merry, and Brody? Do you have a speck of data for it?” “Yeah. In short, Jeremy’s main ability is ice creation. He could manipulate the air over his hands to craft a ball of ice. For Merry, she has big-brain power, and that’s her ulterior motives for being the head researcher. Brody? Hummm, I don’t have much information regarding that man, but it should be correlated to shape-shifting.” “Shoot, I’ve finally could foster the two abilities for my disposal at this time. Thank you, Maria!! ahem, baby!” “You’re welcome, ahem, honey.” --- In emphasis towards the majority of their traits, there are several linkage that I could apprehend. First, the dominant members would be using the most of their combat prowess to fight for life. Second, the worrisome part would be Brody with his unidentified traits to stand out among the risk. At least I know about him being a shapeshifter, although we don’t have a sufficient interference over his output. Nevertheless, I have to treat him as much as Ellen, so I need to pick up the power for soaking up damage to nullify their advantage. Third would be Simon, as He is a cutthroat and slasher of guts. I need to choose the power to omit these abilities from my sight, or I could match his speed by somehow retained the similar ability to him onward. Nah, the former would be meaningful to do, since being able to run doesn’t pose a finishing blow to the shapeshifter somehow. Right, this is the suitable time for a fair trial with the electricity.
