It's been a week already since I have been here with Ellaire. Everything seems to be like before between us—everything except sleeping together.
As for my answers, well, I never got them. Not till now. But today, this will be my priority.
I need to find out what happened with my Mate; how she ended up here, with these rogues. And how did she become their Luna?
"Levi, my love, come on! You've been in there so long. We need to get going. Today is a special day for me. We have to celebrate!"
"It seems like someone is in a good mood!" I said, chuckling and throwing the towel in the bin before exiting the bathroom.
As soon as I stepped out of my room, my body froze at the image of my Mate. She was wearing a bodycon red dress with long sleeves and golden heels. Her black hair was in a bun with a few strands framing her tiny face.
She was looking like a Goddess - my Goddess.
"Levi, close your mouth. Didn't you know that it is not pleasant to stare?" She said, chuckling while her hand covered my mouth.
I kissed it, then quickly pulled her towards me. Soon I replaced her hand with her soft lips, and we kissed like it was the last time.
"Levi… Levi, we should stop. The Pack is waiting for us." Ellaire said, pulling away.
"Just a bit more, then we go," I said and pressed my lips against hers again. But I was cut off quickly as she pushed me gently, giving me a soft smile.
"No, Levi. I know pretty well what a bit means for you. We have to go now. Remember that today is special for me. I have something to show you, alright?"
"Yeah, sure. That's an excellent way to get rid of me, right? Let's go then." I said jokingly.
We started walking, holding hands while a vast smile decorated my Mate's lips. I could tell it was a smile of pride, of accomplishment.
"So where is this meeting or party, or whatever this is?" I asked as we were getting farther and farther. The path we were walking on was uneven, covered with holes and small rocks, but that didn't bother Ellaire, who was graciously walking in her golden heels.
"Just a bit further." She said, looking forward.
I looked at her for a moment longer as her beauty always intrigued me. She held her chin up, and her eyes were always full of certainty. She looked so confident now. Like the girl I met in Dark Shadows Pack wasn't there anymore. But if this meant she was safer than before, then I am okay.
Suddenly she stopped and let go of my hand.
"Stay here." Her voice came a bit too harsh for my liking. But I got used to that.
"Where are you going?" I asked when she started walking again.
"You'll see. Now stay there."
I didn't say a word as she kept walking, hypnotising me with those hips of hers.
When she was a good few feet away, she turned around and clapped her hands.
My mouth hung open as everything around us changed. The trees become walls - white walls decorated with red flowers and small hanging lamps. The rocky path changed under my feet in fine marble, the same colour as the walls. Round tables were placed from place to place, each holding a vase with fresh flowers and a giant golden door closed behind me.
"What is this place?" I asked after I blinked a couple of times. It was surreal. But then it came to me. She was a witch and a powerful one. Was all of this an illusion? All of these feelings?
While I started doubting myself, she came to me and grabbed my hand.
"This is for you, my love. I want to share everything with you, all of me and my belongings." She said, pointing around us. Rogues were filling the room in front of Alpha Timothy, who seemed so cheerful, despite the circumstances.
"Why is your Alpha so happy? You are the Luna of this Pack, after all. Isn't he bothered that you want to be with me?" I asked, a bit suspicious.
"Don't be silly. Timothy and I are only good friends. When his Mate died, we left where they used to live. The place where he took me after he found me. We created this place together. I became Luna, and he was the Alpha. But there was nothing between the two of us. Now that you are here with me, well, things are about to change. And all of those present here are fine with this. It was meant to be my love. You are my Mate. So you are the true Alpha of this Pack. Tonight we will make this official. Tonight, you properly became mine and I yours. As it was supposed to be." Ellaire said and kissed my cheek just before she turned to greet the guests.
I was still dumbfounded at her back as I could not believe what was happening. Did I suddenly become this lucky, or was this only a dream from which I would wake up soon with sweat dripping from my forehead and a broken heart?
"Alpha Levi!" I heard someone calling me in a way that I hadn't heard in a while. I shake my head and look at my Mate and Timothy, watching me expectantly.
"Did I miss something here?" I said as none of the earlier thoughts passed through my head.
"Oh, my love. Me and Timothy we're just talking about the ceremony. We thought it would be nice to have it at the next full moon. What do you think?"
"I think we need to talk first," I said in a rush without overthinking.
They both looked at me, surprised by my behaviour. Timothy nodded his head with a discrete smile, and Ellaire was staring at me, not believing my answer.
"I think he is right, Ellaire. It would help if you talked first. Tell him what he needs to know so much. I would have been the same if I were in his place. There are too many questions." He said and, after nodding once more towards me, he left.
"Fine. We will talk. But now, let's enjoy this. I have prepared so much. I think it will be a shame to let anything ruin this for us. We both deserve to relax a little, don't you think, my love?"
I nodded my head and grabbed her extended hand. A chill ran through my body, confusing me as I couldn't make it out where it came from or if it was the good kind or not.
