Falling For A Human

Rules

I awake sometime later and call for Rix.

They enter my chamber quickly, smiling at me. "Good afternoon, king. Anything I can do?" 

"Have Alona sent to the dining hall, dressed nicely for me. Have my new men sent for her things, everything they can find to make her feel at home. I shall be down soon to feast with her. Thank you, Rix."

"Yes, sir. Everything will be handled accordingly." They nod and smile again, closing the door behind themselves as they leave. 

I get out my bed, tossing my clothes aside to be handled later. I look for clean ones, finding a black button-up silk shirt. I leave the top buttons undone, slip on a pair of dark grey slacks, and the first pair of socks and shoes I can find. I tell myself to remind the maids and servants to clean in here. It was a disaster in here, and hard to move around.

I head down to the dining area and smile at Alona. "Hello, sweetheart." I bend down and kiss her cheek. She blushes slightly and turns her head.

"It does seem a bit out of line to treat me as though I'm your half, no?" Her sweet voice floated up to my ears.

My anger starts to rise but I must remember that she does not yet know her place. She is new and shiny, I have not dealt with freshness such as her in many years. 

"Oh, Alona, but you are mine. My half, no, but mine indeed. After last night I should explain my rules. You must follow them, or be punished. They are not hard to follow nor are they what you wouldn't normally do for say your husband or wife if you're into one or both."

"My preference should not matter!"

Her anger boils, tipping my own anger off.

"There is nothing wrong with your preference, I just was explaining my rules are fit for anyone."

She gives a small hmfp as she pops a green grape into her mouth. "Well, what are your rules, or are you to stare at me more?"

I snap out my stare at her beauty, "My apologies, my rules are simple. Listen to what I say, do as I say, do not lie to me, do not hide anything from me, and do not try to run away. You will also treat me with respect, as I have you. Simple no?"

She eats some more grapes before going for kiwi and other fruits. 

"I have some rules of my own. They are simple too."

"I shall listen to them, but I do not have to follow them as I am in charge not you, little Alona."

"You are not to touch me without my direct permission, you are not to take me to a drunken state to get what you what, I am free to move about as I do wish should I stay on castle grounds, and I am not here as your toy, I will be treated as a friend, not a slave."

"Sounds fair I suppose. Finish eating, I would like to show you around, there are some places humans are not allowed, even you."

She sends daggers with her eyes towards me but says nothing. I try to read her emotions through her eyes, but they just scream fright at me. She is scared. Scared of me no doubt and I wouldn't have it any other way. The fright and fear instilled in people was my favorite thing to watch in their eyes. Every emotion could be read through a humans eyes, and I loved watching it.

"Adonis! I said I'm finished! Do you want to show me around or not? I'm not willing to wait for you all day to stare at me and drift into your subconscious whenever you feel like!"

"Alona, I am sorry. My mind slipped from me, it will happen from time to time. You see... I have not had a new 'friend' in many years. I have had toys. Things to toss away whenever I saw fit. This is very new to me again. Forgive me?" How did she know my subconscious took over? Usually, only dragon breeds knew of that. She was no dragon. Hell, she didn't even think they were real!

She slides her chair back and I snap back to focusing on her. "Fine, let us go. Show me what you must."

I stand with her and hold my hand out for her take. She ever so slowly and gently slides her hand into mine, only to not get lost I assume. I smile at her and show her to the main hall we are already in.

"This is the dining area. We have the main entrance over there. The kitchen is back behind the wall, and the bathrooms are just around this corner."

I continue to show her all of the castle. The north wing, west and east wings as well.

"The south wing shall never be visited. Do you understand?"

"Explain to me and I might."

"All you need to know is you are not to step foot past these broken bricks on the floor or punishment will be hell for you. You might not live to see the end of it. You may ask me anything about anywhere of the castle, but not the south wing. Off-limits. Do you understand?"

"Yes, I suppose I have no choice."

"That is my last rule. Anywhere else you would like to see? Did you visit the gardens this morning?"

"No, I was very tired I decided to relax a while. Would you take me to see them now?" Her eyes convey many emotions constantly, but right now they were full of wonder and curiosity. I wished to get lost in those emerald eyes every second of the day. I wanted those eyes to scream lust and want at me.

I nod my head and turn to lead her towards my favorite garden. Her mind is stuck on the south wing and I knew I gave her to much information on it. Of course, she would be curious. I just hoped she listened to my warning and stayed the hell away from there. I couldn't risk her finding anything in there. It's not safe, even for me.
