CHAPTER 4:WEIRD FEELINGS

2094 Words
The next morning, Rosie woke up fully energetic. She was so ecstatic. She was singing and dancing around. She even made a different type of breakfast than she usually did. Alice teased her that all her mood for the day was because she had started falling in love and it was with none other than Draco but Rosie refused. On the other hand, Draco was also behaving in the same manner. He suddenly started making breakfast for his family members. He suddenly started doing all sorts of things. His dad asked him if he had found his soulmate but he just said no and that he just felt different that day. They both put on their best attires. Rosie went to her locker to take a few things. As she was about to go to class, Julie stopped her and blackmailed her to stay away from Draco or she will pass rumours about her and it will ruin her life there but Rosie just ignored her and went to class. They had Chemistry that morning. All the classes went on as usual. Madam Sally was going on her teachers' course, so Rosie's class had a free period during English. As they were ready to leave the class, a tall, young man who looked like he was 25, stepped in. He had dark brown hair and hazelnut eyes. He introduced himself as the new substitute teacher. He was a former student at the university. His name was Mark Blaze."You can call me Mr Blaze," he said in a deep, husky tone. He spent his first day at work knowing all his students. He was kind, good-looking with a built-up body and had a good sense of humour that most of the girls developed feelings for him. During the break, Rosie and Alice were sitting at the Science Garden doing their work. Alice was taking notes while Rosie was typing something on her laptop. All of a sudden, Emma came running to them. She had a few flyers in her hands. It was about the competitions that will be held after the mid-term exams. Emma gave the flyers and went away. The girls discussed it and decided to try joining all of it as it all came on different dates and time. They were pretty excited about it. Alice and Rosie signed up for everything. After the break, they went back to class. The classes after that went on until the last period. Rosie and Draco hadn't seen each other the whole day. At home, Rosie and Alice did their homework and talked as they usually did every day. Alice kept on talking about Asher and Rosie was listening but her thoughts weren't fully there. She kept thinking about Draco. He hadn't called or messaged her. As she was talking to Alice about him, the phone rang. She picked up her phone. It was a call from an unknown number. "Hello, Rosie?" a guy asked from the other end. Rosie soon realised who it was. It was Draco. "Ya, it's me Draco," she said. "Hey, how are you?" he asked. "I'm fine. You?" "I'm fine too," "I didn't see you the whole day," "Me too. Where were you?" "I had some work to do," "And you didn't even bother to see me?" "Correction. It's you who didn't see me," "Nope, not like that. It's that Julie, keeping me busy," "Ughh! It's okay. I understand you tutoring Julie is important," "Yes, it's about my grades, you know," "Of course, I know. I did the same with you, Mr Lightwing," "I know Ms Hearts and thanks for helping me out," "You wish, Draco," "Okay, chill. Mind if I ask what you cooked?" "I made pasta," "Yum! Surely it's delicious," "Of course it is!" "Seriously, I'm starving right now," "You are funny, Draco," They kept chattering all night. They talked about classes, their friends and everything that happened for the day. The two of them didn't realise time passing by. Alice called out to Rosie, "Girl, finish talking already,". Rosie hangs up the phone and went to sleep. "Admit it, that you're in love with Draco," Alice said smirking. "What? No!" "Yes. You guys ALMOST KISSED!" "It was unexpected," Rosie said rolling her eyes. "Okay. What about late-night talks?" "Can't friends talk late at night?" "Not "normal friends", babe" "Seriously, dude?" "Dude, this is serious. You're about to get a boyfriend," "No, I'm not," "Yes, you are," "Okay, time to sleep, Alice," "You're shutting me off?" "Goodnight, Alice," "Seriously? Not cool," Mumbling, Alice went to bed. Asher greeted Alice with a rose as soon as they entered the class. "I have to take something," Rosie said leaving the two lovebirds alone romancing. As she opened her locker, a white daisy sat there. She looked around to see who placed it there but no one was looking in her direction. She put the flower aside, took her book and walked to class. Mr Blaze came into the classroom short after and started his lessons. He asked them to write a poem as their homework. Rosie was happy as that os her favourite hobby. Classes ended and everyone went to break. Alice went to the cafeteria with Asher and Rosie went to the library to look for some books. Then, she went to her usual spot, The Science Garden and started scribbling and writing away. Draco came out of nowhere and started a conversation, "What are you doing?" he asked. Rosie replied, "I'm doing my work of course,". He teased her that she is doing too much work every time and not enjoying her life. "Dude, I enjoy doing this more than all-time partying," she said about him sarcastically and they started fighting like small kids until they stopped. "Okay, enough arguing already," Draco said. "You started it," "Okay. So, why do you always come here?" "Because I love this place?" "Why do you love it?" "Because of its surrounding. Can't you feel it?" "Feel what?" "The sweet scent that fills the air, the way the wind strokes you," "And?" "That beautiful scenery, so---" "So?" "So, it is like the perfect spot," "For?" "For everything. Reading, singing, having your photos taken with beautiful scenery," "And dating," "Sorry?" "And nothing. Continue," "Are you even listening?" "Yes," "No, you're not. Now off you go. I have classes," Rosie rushed. "Bye, Rosie," he said laughing and slightly blushing. After classes, Rosie and Alice went to have lunch at their favourite restaurant. They then went back home, had a quick shower and walked to the library. Alice borrowed some books. In the evening, Rosie was typing the poem she had written for homework. She wanted to print it out and add it to her poetry collection. The doorbell rang, "Alice, can you see who it is? I'm busy right now," she called out to Alice. Alice opened the door, it was Draco standing in front of her. "Hi. Where is---" he started. "She's upstairs in her room," Alice said before he continued. He thanked her and went upstairs quietly. He saw Rosie sitting, her hair up in a morning updo bun, wearing long pants and a T-shirt, doing her work. He crept up behind her and let loose her hair. "Hey!" Rosie squealed and turned to see who was it. She saw Draco standing facing her, his eyes wide. Part of her fringe fell down her forehead as she turned. Draco stared at her as she was scolding him for letting loose her hair. He was dumbfounded. Her curls fell down her shoulders beautifully. She turned back and continued her work asking him to sit and she will be back later. He didn't expect her to continue her work, so he snatched the paper from her. Rosie jumped trying to get the paper from him. They were running around the room. Draco was taller than her so it was hard for Rosie to get her paper, back from him. Draco tried reading it bit Rosie didn't let him to reasoning it was her homework and it is a secret she didn't want anyone to read. "Give it back," she demanded but Draco wouldn't listen. As they were fighting, they tripped on each other's feet and fell on the bed. Rosie landed on Draco. Their bodies touched and they stared at each other. Rosie's fringe fell over her face covering her eyes. Draco reached out and tucked her hair behind her ears. Rosie saw his deep blue eyes staring back at hers and when his skin touched hers a weird feeling she hadn't felt before rushed over her. She was confused about what she felt. She kept asking herself what was that feeling and if she having a feeling for Draco but she just ignored the thoughts. He rubbed her cheek and he saw how Rosie looked away, closing her eyes. He had the feeling that he was crushing on Rosie but denied it. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door and they both stood up, coming to their senses and pretending nothing had happened. Rosie opened the door and saw Alice standing there. Draco said goodbye to the girls and left. Alice demanded an explanation of what had happened. Rosie told her everything and she concluded that they were starting to date and this was one proof that they are crushing on each other. Rosie ignored her and continued doing her work and soon finished it. A few moments later, she received a mail which was from her mum. Rosie's parents lived in the United States and they are successful business partners. They owned two companies---one her mum's, the other her dad's. Rosie's brother, Mason was living with them and he is a successful lawyer. He was dating Henly Lolla who worked at her mum's company. Rosie hadn't heard from her family for a long time and she opened the mail. It read: Dear Rosie, How are you? We are all fine here and we really miss you a lot. I am sorry I didn't call you or ask about you nowadays. I didn't respond to your calls and emails either. I am overloaded with work. I believe you are doing just fine and always make us proud. I wanted to tell you that we will be visiting you tomorrow, in the morning. Your dad and I are coming to England for an important business trip and Mason is coming to see his lovely sister with his girlfriend. Pick us up at the airport, dear. I am really looking forward to seeing my lovely daughter. Please tell Alice that I asked about her well being. Bye, dear. Mummy loves you always. Kisses and hugs, Mum. Rosie was really excited that her family is coming to meet her. She ran and hugged Alice. They squealed with joy. The next day was a holiday so they can spend the whole day together with her family. They were enough rooms for everyone to live there. The two girls cleaned and arranged everything neatly to welcome the Hearts family. They even tidied the room they will be staying in. The two girls were really happy and were looking forward to this day. They went to sleep feeling excited about tomorrow. The next day, they went to the airport and waited for Rosie's family to arrive. As soon as Rosie and Alice saw them arriving, they went and hugged Mrs Hearts. She hugged both the girls back. Tears of joy ran down everyone's cheeks. Alice became a part of their family after Mr and Mrs Hearts took her away from her abusive parents and adopted her. Alice's parents passed away soon after, living their inheritance to Alice. They arrived at Rosie's and Alice's place. Everyone went to their rooms to get freshen up before spending their day together. Rosie's parents were proud of their two lovely daughters for how clean they kept the house and how well arranged the furniture were. They all then ate the breakfast Rosie made. It turned out that they will be staying there for a month. In the evening, they all went to dinner together. Mr Hearts kept on asking questions to Rosie and Alice about college and all. They were all discussing and talking joyfully with each other. Mason will soon be marrying Henly. Rosie was as happy as a sandboy hearing this. After a long, cheerful day with her family, Rosie went to sleep peacefully even though she was slightly sad that she couldn't spend some extra time with her family tomorrow as she has classes.
