Chapter 6.....
Her fingers moved first, Her index, the middle, the ringer and then all moved, not simultaneously, she couldn’t control that, She barely could move and her hands were the only thing moving. It was painful, no matter how small the movement was. She was in so much pain that it felt like hell had rained its fury on her. Marceline tried opening her eyes, but she saw black, thick blackness and absolute nothingness. She tried turning but that was a huge fail l her body ached badly causing her to yelp, It was hard and extremely painful.
She could feel long s***h pains on her back and she wondered what type of clothes she wore, The more her skin rubbed against the clothes, the more painful it was. The little breeze that entered through the room passed through her wounds and hurt her even more. Her eyes watered and her head ached badly.
Nonetheless, Marceline knew she had to get up and figure out why and what she was doing there. The only clue she had was the hard, cold and rough cemented floor that she laid sleeping on. It reminded her of the one at the Manor and her heart immediately began racing as the incident of the previous Day flooded her head.
The Slap
The Insults,...... Lowell?
Considering everything that had happened Yesterday she came to one conclusion alone. She had been locked up in the cell of the manor, and she had been punished severely to atone for her sins, but seeing as she was still there, she knew she was still going to atone for more.
Marceline pushed her self of the ground, it was hard getting her body to move as it was limp but when she eventually succeeded she got herself up and managed to sit herself on the ground, It proved hard as everything was painful, but she sat nonetheless.
“Is any...... one there?”. Marceline asked with her hoarse voice, Her throat was dry and painful to speak with.
“Is anyone There!!?”. She asked more audibly but no one answered. Only her echo’s came back to her hauntingly.
Marceline’s eyes fell soon enough from waiting and she laid down on the floor again, Falling to a deep sleep.
“I want her release Mum”. Lowell said lowering his fork to the side. He pushed his plate aside and signalled to Janet that he was done eating. Janet walked close to him and picked the barely empty plates up before exiting the dinning room leaving Lowell and His mother to themselves.
“My son, You seem to have forgotten so fast what that slave girl did to me, It simply isn’t a question, I would not set her free so easily”. Alicia said dropping her utensils as well, She harshly threw the wooden utensils on the table causing them to collide with the Ceramic plates.
“And you seem to forget that I own Marceline and Not you”. Lowell looked to his mother with a sly smile. He wasn’t pleased with her response but held his tongue for the love of his life, For he knew his mother and what lengths she could go to prove a point.
Alicia chuckled whilst shaking her head, “I never gave her to you’.... Lowell opened his mouth to object but Alicia Silenced him immediately, “At least not officially,”. Alicia leaned back on the chair and folded her arms.
“ You are law student, You should know by now that Words of affirmation do not equate a contract”. Lowell looked away, He knew his mother all to well, No matter her situation she was always a step ahead.
“I find it rather disappointing that you would take her side over mine,” Alicia rolled her eyes while her hand formed a fist, “Clearly shows how important I am to you, and she to you...... and that upsets me”. Alicia got up from her seat while Lowell rubbed his temples hard. Lowell sat trying to figure out a way out for Marceline when he noticed his mother stand, He stood also and reached out to her.
“What can I do, What do I have to do?”. He asked the ultimate question which his mother had been waiting for All Along.
“Now you are speaking”. She smiled turning to face Her son.
“Go get ready, wear your best suit we are going somewhere”. Alicia raised a brow at him.
“I understand, and Agree”. Lowell immediately turned towards the basement door where the slave cells were located, However, before he could reach the door, Alicia called him, stopping him on his tracks.
“One more condition, You can’t see her until after midnight”. Alicia said calmly, though a smile etched on to her lips.
Lowell contemplated between the door and his mother, He instinctively closed the door, obeying his mother But somewhere in his heart, Lowell felt it was the last time he would have to chose Marceline and he ignored the voice completely, leaving it to fate.
“Let’s Go get dressed”. Madame Alicia said pulling her son’s hand.
Back in the Cell
Marceline heard the cage of the cell being hit, That prompted her to open her eyes, She looked around but saw nothing at first. She slowly closed her eyes again not worried. Marceline suspected that the hunger she felt was a cause of her hallucination, This was further proven as her stomach grumbled not long after.
Marceline covered her stomach as she felt a sharp pain on the right side suddenly. She couldn’t understand the cause of the pain but had no time to process her Thoughts as She heard a loud Growl above her ears, Marceline trembled all around as she felt the presence of something else in the cold dark room.
She kept her eyes closed waiting to be devoured at first, but her curiosity from fear forced her to open her eyes to the threat, so she opened her eyes, At first she couldn’t see the wolf which she had heard, so she was relieved, but she felt the intense breathing again forcing her to look up and her heart split into two at the sight before her.
A Black wolf twice the size of her frail human form stood above her growling uncontrollably, It looked hungry as saliva mixed with blood dripped down its lips, Marceline trembled and tried pulling away despite the pain in her limbs, The farther she tried to get away, the more the huge beast charged at her.
“Please Help Me!!!”. Marceline screamed for help unsure of what to do next, After screaming a couple of times she noticed how calm the wolf was, instead of hurting her he just came closer and had stopped growling. Marceline decided to lay still with all the courage she had left, Watching the Wolf get closer and closer her heart sank, but before anything could happen she dropped flat on the floor and passed out from fear as it consumed her.
“Wake up, You’re being transported”. Was the first thing she heard when she opened Her eyes. Marceline thought it was a dream, but the little black fur in her hands proved otherwise.
